And then what? (on wielding power)

Way too many political projects have been very adept at taking power, but then ended up ultimately failing because they had no answer to the question: "And then what?"
Such is the fate particularly of political projects that take a very long time to acquire power. But this sometimes happens to more established political actors too.
This happens because too many political projects confuse their objectives with the answer to this question.
That is incorrect. The answer to "and then what?" is a technocratic one - not an ideological one.
The first thing you need to do after taking power is to take the primary steps towards ensuring hegemony. And that requires wielding power effectively - something which the non-Left forgot how it's done.
So here's a short introduction...

Yeah, the procedural incompetence of the rightoids is puzzling.

I am waiting for at least 6 months into his rule. For now... what can I say? He started well. But he's only been in power for 3 weeks. Not enough to make an assessment.

@@FreedomAlternative Did you watch his speech at the WEF today? Your commentary on that would be epic

@@LloydDeJongh yes, I did. It's what I'd expected from him. But again, I'm still waiting for policies to take effect.

Nice video. I do think you could be more brief, but excellent ideas. Looking forward to your videos in 2024.

It seems like countries such as Syria and Iraq failed at all of those points. Hopefully Iran and Russia are not going to go down the same path.

Iran probably won't. Persians are an old civilization and left to their own devices, they'll figure it out. Not particularly optimistic about russia though.

I was banned from your discord server a year or so ago for talking about exactly these things, what the mods called countersignalling libertarianism

While I doubt that this was the only reason, since it's been a year, feel free to join again if you wish. I don't get involved into the management of Discord but I also think bans should expire after 6 and up to 12 months. freedomalternative.com/resources/faq-frequently-asked-questions/

@@FreedomAlternative thanks. I was being very undiplomatic about it all and frustrated about people being more interested in helicopter memes than aquiring helicopter flying skills

I fear you give too much credit to PiS. Maybe they were good enough weilding power inside the country (although their propaganda looked cheap [but wasnt cheap], and their failed judicial reforms made a mess of epic proportions) but on the international stage they behaved like children in the fog (not counting the beginning of the war in Ukraine, but this 'good luck' run out fairly quickly)

I did mention their failure on judicial reforms. Also, the difficulty that KO is having now in following this same template shows that they did a better job than expected at establishing hegemony.
