Andalusian Filly Bella goes to the Big Field for the first time. Friesian Horse Apollo goes too.

After our ride we take Bella & Apollo in the horse box to the field. Video taken 26th July six weeks after Bella came to live with us.

How alert and inquisitive she behaves at her new surroundings is a joy to watch. All along though she keeps one eye on mum to make sure it’s all okay. Apollo looks on as you leave knowing he must now make certain she is looked after. Wonderful!

How proud she stands! She is a stunning mesmerizing horse! ❤ Apollo is the best leader I have ever seen so far! 😁 If you think about it ... Bella really progressed under your love and guidance in a couple of weeks to this proud little mare. Apollo and Farouk are good teachers.. And the horse box is now something to look forward too!

So much progress is displayed in this video! Instead of being frightened, Bella inspects what she doesn't know, and she observes her new surroundings a lot but seems fairly excited by the field. Apollo is also a good leader, he guides her gently.

Hi Tara, so impressive how far Bella has come in such a short time with your soft touch training- she is a wonderful, sensitive filly. Looks like it won't be long before you are able to take her to the farrier for her first visit. She took it in stride in the big pasture- Apollo just took over and his leader role let her accept the new area without pause- SO awesome. .

What a gentleman! He stayed there waiting for her to exit the box. What a marvelous idea to have him there for her! She will quickly learn that it is a wonderful place, because ‘the boss said so’. Bella is really filling out and not the skinny, gawky girl she was when you got her. What a prize she will be someday!

Oh bless her, another new situation for her to experience. Away from all the comforts and security of the last 2months. There she is making her usual snorting noises, (love that and the fact, it is all she does) whenever she is unsure of something. And checking that Apollo and her human family are still there. Apollo actually stops in his tracks to watch the truck pull away! With one hoof slightly raised, as though he is so lost in thought about the truck that he has forgotten to put his weight on his leg! Fascinating creature he is! I'd think most horses would have focused on eating grass!

Aw she was so good loading, and also getting off at the field... I thought she may have panicked after Apollo got off first, but she was so good... not the reaction I expected... with lots of whoopy moments... but I’m hoping for that on the next upload. Amazing it’s the same day that you set off riding on a beautiful summers day... British weather can be so frustrating... Take today... I left the girls at 8 am, all sunny, so left their zebra rugs and fly masks on... then at 4 when I was cooking tea, when had a torrential downpour with thunder and lightning... I had to put tea on hold, and drive the almost 3 miles to them... but thankfully they stood under the massive canopy that my husband has built off the stables. X

Bella is the perfect name for her! When she stands tall and her mane is blowing in the wind, she looks like a horse in a painting- perfect, beautiful and strong all at the same time. I think that animals are like people in that they look how they feel and she looks happy and confident. All due to her understanding and loving training, bringing out her beauty....great job!

This is fantastic to see. Love how Apollo just waited for her to come out of the trailer. I love to see how different Apollo's behavior is towards just him alone with Bella and with him and Farouk. Usually he takes off running with Farouk but this time it seems he knows it's a little different. Just lovely. I also like how Bella came over to see you by the camera. I am glad Rens stayed in the field because when you started to leave, Bella starting snorting again. This was a very exciting video. Look forward to when Farouk arrives! She looks wonderful. That was so good to see. Bella has so much more confidence thanks to you, Tara. She loaded into the box and seems to have tolerated the ride so well. Apollo is a very good boss. He looked like he was waiting for her to get out of the horsebox, so he could show her around! He is subtle but it is clear he is in charge. Bella is spunky and although she obviously accepts his leadership, as you said, there's a spark of defiance. Bella is very expressive ... love her snorting. She was a bit overwhelmed by the experience - like ... have you guys had this big field all along and you're just showing me now??? She will be racing around there soon, maybe with Farouk. She really has come along. She looks in great condition and is so pretty with her mane flying around in the wind. You have three stunners. Thanks for this. This grabbed my heart! Bella and Apollo off to the field, first time for Bella! Wow look at her load in the lorry like she's done it her whole life.
