I wish you had shown the installation to the end, like hand tightening the nut and then tightening up the chain 4 turns of the socket. Aren't you supposed to count the threads when tightening?

We have this hitch for 25 ft , 6000 lb TT. Much easier to hook up and much quieter. We had conventional bar WD hitch first. The Anderson stops a lot of the porpoising and seems equal on sway control. Did have to fiddle with it a bit to get right height and keep our trailer level. Seems like does not work quite as well for weight distribution - but is certainly acceptable and the other factors make it a great hitch. Also like the fact there is no grease. Seemed like I could never hook up the other hitch without getting a little grease on my pants. Thanks for the video.

@@TheSavvyCampers I watched your video and read thru all the comments and was about to order one of these hitches untilI read your final comment. "I have read that it does not work as well on heavier units". That's a deal breaker for me. I just purchased a toy hauler travel trailer. Dry weight is 9710lbs. I dont tow with much cargo in my trailer but I will be carrying a 1900 lb UTV in the back so I guess I will go with the old noisy bar style WDH.

At 9:30 you mention drilling a pilot hole. What is a pilot hole needed for? Thanks.

The pilot hole is for the set screw,without the pilot hole the set screw would be flush on the frame,with a pilot hole the set screw would seat in the pilot hole for a more secure fit,the set screw is added security to keep the brackets from moving.

I believe you should insert the bolts for the frame brackets from the inside so the nut goes on the outer area. Not required but I think it helps position the bracket correctly after tightening. See at 5:10 kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4m2lI2LeruWqMU

Ryan Andersen has a video (produced/posted on May 1, 2019) that's very good in showing the installation of the No Sway Hitch system. He goes into insuring the trailer/tow veh are level, measuring the hitch ball heights, positioning of the bolts so the hitch doesn't "crawl" on the trailer A-frame and accessing the nuts when tightening, etc. I'm more concerned seeing a good video on backing the trailer up, then how to disconnect and reconnect when ready to go back into travel mode. Any good YT vids on that procedure? Y'all Be Safe!

Raymond Schneider I know there isn’t a video on it, but the whole idea of using these chains and this hitch as a whole is that you can back up with the hitch still as is. And then un tension everything I believe.

On my trailer, the emergency brake cable is mounted on the inside of the frame right where my brackets for this hitch need to sit. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to move the emergency brake cable somewhere else?

As long as you have room, you could relocate it, as long as it has a clear path to operate and the wire lead is not too tight that it would lock the brakes up on a turn.

Why do you have the old style hitch and plate ?

Way too much talk and no action. Get to the point! Man, I never struggled that much torquing my hitch. On my hitch system, torqued to 260 FT Lbs.
