I watched your video of the Grizzly boots the night before I left to visit my daughter in New Braunfels. She was nice enough to make the drive for me to Texas Boot Company. Great store for Anderson Bean boots. I picked up a Grizzly pair and spotted several other pairs that are on my list. This pair makes my 8th pair of Anderson Bean. Thanks for the review. Jeff

I am so glad it helped. And you are right about TX Boot Company, they have a great selection. As I mentioned I went to get one pair and wound up with two. I had to stop myself at two or it could have gotten bad. I hope to do a full video at the store soon.

On the toe bug stitch ends, I usually wave a flame over the ends and it cleans them up nicely.

I have a pair of Hippo Black Jacks. Love the grain and feel of Hippo. Cleans up very nice too with a stiff nylon or soft brass brush.

@@jphinnyc I go over cleaning a little on the Fenoglio Roughout video, and I have some more video that needs editing for a Roughout care video. But there’s also a cleaning kit, and conditioner link in the Fenoglio video notes. The kit is cheap and has all the brushes you need. It’s basically the same for Roughout, suede, hippo, and sanded elephant. Brush with a brass brush for deep dirt, crape rubber to smooth the nap like you wood with a horse hair brush on smooth leather, use a spray conditioner link in the Fenoglio video, and a protectant spray also in the Fenoglio video links. If it’s a dark hippo you can use the Kali leather life conditioner, especially if they are really stiff. Thanks for watching.

A lot of that is due to inexperienced bootmakers. Obviously a seasoned Texan wouldn’t switch the soles but otherwise AB is a solid Bootmaker

The cedar trees also absorb perspiration in the liner after you slip the boot off, that'll save the liner in the long run.

That’s right, as well as being a natural pesticide, I mention that in another video, spiders and other biting critters are a problem in Texas so it’s a big help.
