I have a 25 year old JTM 45. IMHO, it's the best pedal platform ever made. I use a Pete Thorne designed Plexi Tone pedal. My neighbors love it! Oh, and it's Purple, and signed on the back by Jim Marshall himself 💜

Marshall is _killing_ it with this. Made in England, as a Marshall _should always_ be, probably only $200-$300 more than if it was made in a Chinese sweatshop. I'll happily pay it to support the real Marshall workers in the motherland : ) Sounds great. Nice job guys.

The rectangular Marshall badge is nicknamed the 'coffin' badge, with those 'pillar' (per Pete) at either end being the handles. I love the amp through the 2x12 (Mick Taylor used a vertical 2x12 w/50 watt and a Fender combo atop that in the Bluesbreakers). I also love that this demo was about dynamics and sound, not volume and effect. One gets tired of demos where it's all about driving the amp and ripping out hi-gain riffs. Clarifying that this amp isn't designed for that (without a pedal) and then proceeding to demonstrate its versatility to an audience assuming the worst kept this demo engaging. My only critique would be the absence of any Bluesbreakers riffs. It was after all Eric Clapton's playing on the 'John Mayall with Eric Clapton - Blues Breakers' (aka 'Beano') album that defined the sound of the JTM45 and led to Hendrix and everyone else plugging in to Marshall, including those who followed in his wake, Peter Green and 18-year-old Mick Taylor. Indeed, were it not for Clapton's introduction of a Les Paul and Marshall, the Studio 20 and this demo would likely not exist.

The Creamback M65 Sounds great paired with V 30s and Greeback M25s . One of each in 2 by 12 sounds killer. Many people also use 2 Creambacks and 2 Greenbacks in a 4 12 and many also use 2 Creambacks Ma and 2 V30s in a 4 by 12 . Pairing the Creamback M with either the Greenback M or V30 tames the Nasally mids and the upper mid spike without taking them out completely or making the tone too scooped sounding. That Nasally midrange sound is staple of the classic rock guitar tone so if you want a classic rock guitar tone but find the nasally mids to be a bit over the top or too overbearing and want to tame them while still keeping enough of the Nasal quality to keep the vintage character of your Greenback Ms or V30s . Pairing them with Creamback Ms is the perfect solution. Pairing the M65 with the M25s will give up a much better and tighter low end response. The best V30 in my opinion is the Marshall spec V30 or what Marshall calls the G12 vintage. It's alot less Nasal and has a much tamer upper mid range. It has more of an emphasis on the low mids with the upper mids rolled back. They still have bump in the upper mids compared to most other speakers but it's not as obnoxious or overbearing as the the standard V30 . The Marshall version is more woody in the lows and is more present . It's brighter and more crunchy compared to the regular V30 yet its less harsh than a V30 I love the Standard V30 paired with other speakers but don't use it as a standalone speaker but I absolutely Love the Marshall version as Standalone speakers or in pairs . I have a 2 by 12 with those speakers and when I ordered it I thought I would have to replace one to the G12 vintage speakers with something else like a Creamback 65 as I don't like standalone V30s but top my sunrise I love the sound of 2 G12 vintage and will be keeping that cab stock. That cab with the G12 vintages along with DSl 5CR and 58 les Paul Reissue with Duncan Seth lowers get me in serious led Zepplelin 2 and Rush All the world's a stage territory which is right where l like top be .

I have a 2000’s JTM60 combo with a 15 inch speaker and it also has an effects loop. Admittedly you have to have a patch cable plugged in to the effects loop when you’re not using it otherwise it farts and cuts out when the amp gets too hot, which it will do unless you have a heat sink plate between the electrics and the tubes that will cook the electrics. Great sounding amp though!

The Creamback M65s are definitely providing extra low end . The M65 especially in a closed back 2 by 12 have more low end than a typical vintage speaker like a G12M 25 watt Greenback . The Creamback M65 is a great speaker for those who Love the sound of vintage Greenbacks but find they don't have enough low end when used in a 1 by 12 or a 2 by 12 .The Greenback M25s need to be used in a 4 by 12 to get the classic Greenback M low end . As well unlike Lowerpower M speakers the Creamback M does not fart out or get to loose in the low end when used in an open back Combo or Cab.

They now have a 20 watt JTM a 20 watt super lead and 20 watt jubilee and 20 watt JCM 80 so they have covered all the most iconic Marshall's. So it's hard to see what else they could cover in the 20 watt range. The only other option i could see is a 20 watt JVM which I think is a great idea. The have a 20 watt DSL and origin so a 30 watt JVM is a logical choice. I would buy a 20 watt JVM in a heartbeat. The JVM cabs have great speakers as well. They have the G12 vintage/v30 and the Marshall heritage which is a Marshall spec G1265.

I have a solid-state amp I literally bought at 15 yrs old- sill works like its brand new- Peavey red line Studio Pro. Since then- I'm in my fifties now- I've bought like 3-4 tube amps- they all tore up- every last one. They costed like 4-5 times as much as the Peavey- sounded way better- and lasted a fraction as long. So- when the last one tore up- Blackstar Club 40- I bought a modeler- Headrush MX5. I'm trying to like it- it's not easy, but I'm trying. There are like 3 presets on it worth using- so every time I get disappointed in it- which I admit is pretty often- I dial one of them up. I thought they had gotten the distortion thing right finally- that's what everyone kept telling me- nope. All I know to tell you guys who think the distortion on these modelers sounds right is- you must not have ever had a good tube amp and the right pedal. Because trust me- it beats this modeler hands down without any doubt. Now that said- I haven't run the firmware update yet, I haven't added any 3rd party IRs so- maybe it will get better- I certainly hope. I haven't even gotten into creating my own patches yet- and they say that makes a big difference. I will say this though- once you buy your FRFR powered speaker- I got the 12" Headrush- now you can buy other modelers without it being such a cash layout. The FRFR speaker and amp costs as much or more than any modeler unit- and you already have that. So- if the HR doesn't eventually work out- I'll try something else. I can't afford to keep laying out 500+ a pop for amps that tear up in a couple years, at most.

These Marshalls (along with the Friedman Little Sister and Pink Taco) make it clear to me once again how far modelers are from an aesthetically pleasing amp sound. You don't need a hundred thousand different sounds, but just one that has recognition value without any compromise. These marshals have both. Great! With musical greetings Mic from Germany 🙂

Loving the intro and reading a few comments... People are loving this! I expected the usual price-point complaints! An excellent product, reasonably priced, how refreshing!

I can complain about it if you want. They’re 999 pounds or so in the UK so I was hoping maybe 1500USD in the states. They’re essentially 2k. Wah. It’s so unfair. These companies are just gouging us. Everything I want should be free. Etc. etc.

The Bugera literally cuts the level in half before you even turn down the knob . The main reason in the change of sound is not the unit. A speaker virtually moves outwardly and back . If you cut the power from going into it and moves very little. It is why the sound can appear lifeless. This attenuator still is the best answer . I have had the same one on my Plexi for years :-)

Got the JTM45 Studio with the 2x12 inch speaker today. I do not understand why "everyone" was disliking the SV20C when it came out. I am still used to the sound of the SV20C and now switching to the highly advertised and praised JTM45 Studio, I must say (in my opinion), the SV20C is at least not muffling when "jumping" the channels. The Normal channel is not done/defined well on the JTM45 Studio Head. The High Treble channel is really damn good. But when jumping, it's hard to get rid of the muffling dark tone, even if I am using the amp builtin eq or try to fix it with a pedal eq upfront. The only way to get a little bit rid of it is by getting the presence up to 10. Anyone else the same experience with the JTM45 Studio? Addendum - After playing a little and also using the SV20C through the 12 inch speaker. The SV20C through the 12 inch is killer in tone (but you really need something like the "little black amp" pedal from JHS as the last pedal in the FX chain to avoid getting blown away or an attenuator). The SV20C through the 12 inch speaker is definitly the better amp for driven tones (jumped channels) and the JTM 45 Studio has nice tones on the High Treble channel.

I hate to burst your bubble the actual amp is made In Vietnam it is shipped as a part/parts then assembled into the Brit built cabinet in the UK cabinet and and faceplate. No the amp from Vietnam is not dumbed down. The workmanship is first class. The guy that made that pink amp sitting to the left in the video told me that. Yes and even the part about well built :-) Speaking of Dave Friedman he said wants to buy a JTM for himself. He loves it.

Not going to buy the Amp but I am excited to buy the 2 by 12 JTM cab with the 2 creamback M65s. That said I hope they are only offering the 2 by 12 as an A cab/slant cab which is not much first choice. I prefer the look and sound of B cabs/straight cabs and it seems odd they are only offering a slant cab with the Studio JTM 45s .The Jubilee studio has both a matching A cab and B cab and so does the studio vintage and studio classic giving all 3 thd mini stack option .seems strange they would not have the mini stack option for the JTM studio . Glad they went with a top shelf speaker this time instead of just going with the Default V type . Although with the mini Jubilee if you bought either of the 2 by 12s you got the G12 vintage speakers which are a V30 variant made with different specs specially for Marshall but if you bought the 1 by 12 cab you got the V type and if you bought the Combo version of the mini Jubilee you got a G12M25 Greenaback . Why the 1 by 12 cab did not have the Greenback as well makes no sense . The studio vintage was V type across the board . The studio classic combo and 1 by 12 cabs both had the V,type but I'm not sure about the 2 by 12 as it may have had the G12 vintage/v30.. The JTM studio also uses the Cremback in the 1 by 12 cabs, The creamback is far more vintage sounding compared to a V type despite being a 65 watt speaker. For that matter the Marshall spec V30 or G12 vintage sounds more vintage than the v type.

I love this! The JTM is my absolute dream amp, and I desperately want a real one. This one looks awesome, but at the price, I’m not entirely sure if this is better than a Friedman Little Sister. At least in the US, they are the same price, and I feel that the Friedman might be a little more useful for all types of music. But I absolutely love the delicious clean sound that JTM amps do. But at the same time, the cleans might be better in a full sized JTM with more headroom. I own a Bassbraker 45, and I feel that 45W is the perfect amount for clean tones at high volumes.

does anybody really need me to say this is THE video to watch for this amp? No, I didn't think so. You guys killed it. Great job Anderton's! To think that my mom lived in Colchester for about 20 years and I don't even recall the amount of times I went to visit her there....this was in the late 80's......when did you guy spring up? I certainly do not recall a guitar store of this magnitude when I was visiting Colchester.....
