That pure rock and roll jam at around the 27 minute mark was the best thing I've seen on this channel in ages. Not necessarily because I enjoyed the style (although I did) but just because it's been a while since I've seen two people just completely in love with playing guitars and just going totally balls-out! Awesome stuff fellas. Two presenters I need to see playing again together soon ;oD

The battery in the cutlass is not used as a pre-amp, it powers the "silent circuit" which is Music Man's way of having noiseless pickups.

Ok. After this one I just have to bow down to everyone in the team of guitar players at Andertons. Rob and Joss' incredible technique. The versatility and ingenuity of Pete. The raw skill and talent of Rabea. Matt who seems to be able to play anything. The chief himself who has taken enormous strides and now is on par with the rest of the gang by the sheer feel in his playing. Wow.

Watching the Anderton's videos changed my whole world around music and how I interact. I finally made the leap to playing guitar along with my bass playing and within less than two years I can play songs and jams on the guitar I never thought I could play. It's nothing great but I don't embarrass myself and it's the best stress reliever I can have in a public place. I've met Rob and Dave at Riff City for one of the grand openings and Rob signed my lefty ML1. Both incredible guys I got to hang with for a short time, and I now I really want to make that pilgrimage to the U.K. with Anderton's on the A list of must do things. We are so spoiled watching this for free.

I JUST purchased the LAST Cutlass RS HSS in "Stealth Black" in the country from the great folks at "Willcutt Guitars" (thanks guys!) And it's every bit as good and more as they say here. The fretwork, the trem, the light weight, and the overall construction is simply superb. The neck profile is STUPID fast & comfortable, and it out quacks any Fender custom shop in the 2nd and 4th positions that I've ever heard. When you play it, you can just feel it's high quality in your hands WITHOUT making you think anything about how much it cost because, you're so caught up in the playing experience. And if/when you do, you then immediately think "and it was worth it!".

@YaberHasan
@YaberHasan 6 жыл бұрын
Gibson and Fender became iconic because they were kinda the only ones around then. The scene has changed. Gibson made beautiful looking guitars, kinda bulkier, humbuckers mainly, PRS is the modern equivalent. Fender was just well "engineered", relatively utilitarian, more flexible when it comes to tones. And there are a lot of brands doing that now, but most iconic of them all with Leo Fender roots, Musicman. Gibson and Fender has their place but I hope you get what I was referring to.

I continue to be a fan because you guys can actually play and I come away with a pretty good idea of the tonal ability of the products in the vids. Most other reviewers just make a lot of frigging noise with distortion pedals and loads of delay. You guys, Paul,Justin and Tom and Reba are the best. Including the guys in the Bass dept. And every now and then Ii get to snag a lick or two. Keep up the great work guys you provide the best example of what all these kind of vids should be like.

I picked up a Cutlass RS HSS in vintage turquoise about 2 months ago and I can’t put it down! Love love love this guitar!! It comes with an epic molded hard shell case. I had mine shipped across the country, USA, and it was in tune out of the case. 🤷🏼‍♂️ heads up you’ll need to keep the neck oiled as it dries out especially in the beginning. It looks dead sexy when oiled so it’s easy to stay on top of. Also they weren’t kidding if you like thin line necks look no further. If you don’t like em thin maybe keep looking. If you’re thinking about picking one up put your hands on one. You’ll probably walk out of the store with it!

I have been playing guitar for about 40 years now, and I have had many brands, styles of guitars over those 40 years. Saying that, I pretty much know what I like and do not like in a guitar. Saying that, I bought a EB Cutlass the other day. I must say, I have always loved EB guitars. Like a complete idiot/moron, I had two EVH EB Sigs back in the 91/92 era, and eventually had to sell them both for cash, now they are worth a fortune. They were the best feeling, sounding electric guitars I have ever played, and still are. Saying that, the Cutlass is a great little guitar in its own right. Feels great, plays great, love the no heel, because I hate that Fender heel digging into my hand on a strat. The Cutlass is a WINNER.

Between Fender, Music Man, and G&L, I'm trying to figure out how to characterize the diferences between them all, and with Music Man, I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out what they "do". Like Fender is the biggest, comes out with a lot stuff to emulate the vintage sound but have modern comfort. G&L, I think of Leo's new frontier of ideas with the z-coil stuff, I think like the G&L Legacy and the Comanche. But idk anything about Music Man or what to think about the Cutlass in terms of what their take on the strat/s-style guitar is. EDIT: ooph wow that roasted maple neck, now I just think of glossy luxury, it's beautiful.
