I talked to him briefly at RTR as he was in the middle of another project but he was gracious enough to chat with me. Your right Seven; his metal working skills are suburb and he showed me how he added more front leg room by reworking the inner fender on the front driver side.

it was difficult at RTR to work on projects and trying to socialize with people coming past. hoping next year to not have any projects and just be able to socialize!

Hi Seven, Stephanie in the UK here :) Andy and Dorothy certainly put their creative talents to great use. Andy reusing the aluminium shelves to make the bed is a genius idea!! And Dorothy's cushion covers are brilliant!! It's a shame I'm not located in the US........I'm pretty nifty at driving a sewing machine & could make a fortune sewing up bed cushion covers and window coverings LOL!! I'm slowly working my way through ALL your videos!! This was a great video Seven, good luck with your travels and stay safe!

hello Stephanie from the UK! I hope to make it back over there soon and want to explore the country side this time. I wish you had your sewing machine here too. I could sure use some help sewing covers for my cushions (need to do a video on that soon)

Hey Seven! This is so cool! Many inspirations from their van! Between upholstery and sheetmetal great stuff. The window covering with the fabric-I'm trying to see if I can make it roll up, so I could have roll up well insulated shades in my house, and would like it to look nice too, if I can perfect it there, then I transfer the concept to the vehicles! I have the same fiberglass roof on my MT45 [retired fedex step van], and it was great to see how he framed it for the vents, and insulated. Fancy bench seats, I saved the Aluminum shelves and modified them for new use in the van too. Nice heavy duty aluminum. Oh and the seats! Nice! And to make it modular design! That genius too! Thanks so much for sharing! Enjoy the coffee/tea, God bless! Savoring the moments brother!

Hey Allen - I sent you a PM through KZbin, but I understand those can be easily missed, so I thought I'd try to connect with you this way as well. I learn so much from every van video I watch and every van-dweller I meet, so I'd love to meet up to share the van enthusiasm with a SoG neighbor. If that's of interest, feel free to drop me a line at livnletlrn at gmail dot com.

Glad to see someone using polyethylene foam insulation. It also comes in many different thicknesses and densities. It is great for covering exposed sheetmetal in a van (like crossmembers) to reduce thermal bridging.

I have no idea how secure they are, but I believe Andi has a tendency to overbuild things and knows a lot about various tinsel strengths of metals. I would not be surprised if he could give you force pounds of pressure and sheering strength of the metal he used. he is really that brilliant with his work
