Despite being lighter on easter eggs, cameos, and the usual references Star Wars movies and series have become known for, I still found over one hundred in the first season of Andor, and there were some deep cuts in there! Here is everything I picked out.

Crazy how this show was genuine good all the way while still having fun Easter eggs. I never understand that “criticism” if you can even call it that.

Because it is not really criticism most of the time, just some unripe minds crying.

It’s not really references that draw criticism. It’s characters we’ve seen before appearing again and again without a whole lot of logical reasoning. With the Star Wars universe being so big, outside of the main story we shouldn’t be getting things that don’t really make sense.

If you have a compelling story then the easter eggs and cameos won't be so jarring. Remember, they introduced moff gideon to us by having him go on a rant about e-web cannon and how it was used to wipe out some tribe etc etc only to end his diatribe with I'll be back to finish all of you off after dark? lol

@@ScoDiddley Well, it's the first Star Wars show that really deserves consideration. Shows like Mando, Clone Wars and Rebels were fun and all, don't get me wrong, but Andor is the first one with genuinely powerful acting, and actors of Stellan Skarsgard and Andy Serkis' caliber.

Mando was nominated for best drama one year I think. If that sets bar for how good a SW show needs to be for Emmy nomination then I would think that Andor is a sure thing. That said, the Emmys always screws up.
@andyb1653
@andyb1653 Жыл бұрын
@@nlptrckshmn5535 Was it, now? Hadn't heard about that. Good on 'em. Ultimately it doesn't matter though, because you're right about the Emmys. Like the Oscars, it's more of an industry circle-jerk than anything else. It's more about favoritism and virtue-signaling than the actual quality of the productions, actors and crews nominated.

Thank you for acknowledging the fact that it is only Starkiller's helmet and not "his suit". I would like to add that there is a second suit on a mannequin in the back of the shop and a single helmet laying down on a table in the back as well. This single helmet is missing its accents, the flaps on the side and the 'feathers' on top.

This will probably get down-voted/ignored, but I don't consider myself a toxic Star Wars fan, and fans the sequel trilogy are still Star Wars fans. Same as OT trilogy fans, and Prequel era fans, and Legend/EU fans. That said, I really dislike the sequel trilogy and references to it. Andor's writing was so good that I didn't care that references were made to it quite frequently at all. It shows that when you have a good story with excellent writers you could reference anything, like the country Mexico, or Austin Powers and, I'd nod and say "Yup that fits". That's what good writing and, a clear vision of a story can do. Suck you in and make you believe anything.
