Im glad I found your video. My pulmonologist is not updated on new information or treatments. I was diagnosed around 40. Im on oxygen. My doctor says I should be dead by now. Im 48. Yeah, he said that! I find anxiety makes breathing worse. I had broken heart syndrome when my mother died. Then they sent me home on oxygen, saying I have COPD. I dont believe I had it but now I cannot go without oxygen. I hate living with this. My doctor only sees me every 6 months. He doesn't do anything. I tell him of new treatments. Like I told him about Trelegy. I worked woth chemicals in a factory. I looking for better treatments.

Thanks ,you give me a great understanding of many different conditions ,I've had a trial of 18 months with every test you are explaining I asked for an antibiotic for over a year ,if I was given one I believe it wouldn't of taken over a year to get better ,reason I was not given an antibiotic was I had high blood pressure and all focus was on the medications to lower BP when I mentioned I feel like I have a bacterial infection ,I have dealt with lung infections ,mainly bronkitis ,I know my body from past lung infections ,an antibiotic should of been given to me as it was in past when I couldn't kick an infection out of my system (I needed antibiotics , I know my own body ,) it was a long drawn out period that I truly believe could of been resolved sooner as to later ,my condition was atrial fibrillation and heart failure ,I had the vaccine pnumococial pmumonia after multiple times being in the hospital before the vaccine was given ,I had felt better after two years of meds for blood pressure that made me feel 100percent worst ,until I got rid of lung infection , listen to the patient as well as helping him with treatment given . Your well explained video is all that I have been thru for almost 2years we deserve better as patients , vaccine .,pnumococial pmumonia ,I believe is what fixed me as well as the medicine lasiks ,that is needed for my situation your explaining all this to me now 🤗 great video ,you are helping many to understand , great job. If it was you that was my doctor I would of got treated more promptly . Mentioning an antibiotic I got ,it's not good you can get liver damage ,or it's for acne ,really I got over kronkitis with them ,ended up in the hospital without them,get a pnumococial pmumonia vaccine it is the antibiotic from what I see now.

My best friend was hospitalized with severe asthma. She had been diagnosed and treated for COPD for the last year. A local pulmonologist came in and told her that she experienced all the symptoms on VOCAL CORD DYSFUNCTION - which many doctors misdiagnose as asthma. This guy sounded nuts. He told me she does not have asthma or COPD. She’s been a severe asthmatic since childhood and has been hospitalized too many times to count. She has had to be intubated 7 times in the last 15 years. This pulmonologist said that she should never be intubated again! They’ve only done this because she would have died from lack of oxygen to her brain. Her O2 sats had been below 80%. Dr. Fazakas is so right on and provides a fountain of great information. I wish he was here in Southern California!

I was never tested for COPD, ephysema or bronchitis. The doctors that I have seen over the last 3 yrs keep talking about heart surgery where the aortic valve will be replaced. Hopefully I will get tested and given the right meds to see if that helps with the shortness of breath, and coughing. The main time I have a problem with the wheezing is at night when I want to go to sleep.

Dr is advertizing also for vaccines. Not good and not necessary as well. Walking, exercice, meditation, human ethics of giving and forgiving and love, meditation work wonders for all illnesses.

What you do as an adult is your choice, but if a child dies because the parent did not let the child be vaccinated is for me completely unacceptable!!!! Trust me,.there are diseases that you can not treat with walking and meditation. Try to tell a 2 year old child to meditate and walk when she is dying from Measles. More than 200.000 children dies from Measles yearly because parents don't vaccinate their children because now it's trendy to be against vaccinations. When the children dies then parents look shocked and can't believe what happened, but then it's too late.

I very recenty got diagnost with copd, bronchial and emphysema. My doctor said it is mild in the beginning. I quit smoking a little over 1 month ago. Should I still see a specialist even though it's "mild" ? My doctor said that I don't need to see a specialist. I think I should be seen by a specialist. After numerous tests and diagnostic imaging including mri and ultra sound I was told that they don't see anything wrong with my heart.

I have been diagnosed with a bad asthma and have dealt with that for about 20 years and its only got worst to now an interstitial lung disease, whatever that means. I never got any of these tests you mention. they barely lift a stethoscope to my chest . most I've had were breathing tests. I get one a year. luckily my doctor gives me an emergency prescription of antibiotics and prednisone i take together when I get an infection. The lack of testing is government cutbacks on medical care in Canada since they tax the shit out of us for that medical but then call it free as they mismanage our tax money that goes to this care.

What about corticosteroids and exacerbation? Should we use them only once excluded an infection or are they in any case useful? If a patient with COPD has a glucocorticoid in his long term therapy should we suspend it in case of exacerbation with bacterial/viral superinfection?
@drandrasfazakas4 жыл бұрын
Very good questions. I figured that I was not clear enough with corticosteroids in my 3 videos about exacerbation, stable patient and follow up. I will do recreate the exacerbation videos a little bit, so that it becomes clear of what to do with corticosteroids. Corticosteroids are good for about 5 days, usually 40mg daily.

I haven't listened very long but I can tell you this much all my lung infections were caused by GERD. Would it cause sinus infection which tripped on the back of my throat which causes secondary lung infections once it cleared up my gerd I never had another freaking issue other than lung cancer couple times which brings me to your always somebody has a mass on their lung in an x-ray should treat them for pneumonia I think before you do that you should do a low-density CAT scan before you feed them full antibiotics send them home and then find out they have a stroke because it was growing through their heart. Nowadays I don't understand whatever is going on . A lot of times do it seems very egotistical in the Peter Principle
