I like the model of officiating here. It’s reasonable, sober and matured! And that’s how it should be. You don’t just go disqualifying athletes for a one off offence of beating the gun, after all their years of hardwork of training. That’s has always been terribly unfair, in my opinion. The major international athletics officiating bodies should borrow a leaf.

@@gabrielsteffensen3700 Nope, you're wrong and here's why. Yes, he used drugs at the time and got caught. Nonetheless, using drugs makes you stronger and more muscular but, it does not build technique, stamina, or improve-start. When he was winning in his prime he was not on them. He started using them to keep the edge while, he was declining due to wear and tear competing w U. Bolt. Track and field is very damaging to the body and steriods/drugs leave the body soon after stopping. There are many athletes that hv used drugs in the sport but, hv great doctors and never, get caught. He's a legend bc, of many years of winning w elite competion. He gets tested regularly and at his age he still, can run a sub 10.0 naturally. Drugs gv you an edge yes, but; you still, must hv the talent to execute greatness. If, drugs stayed in the body and preserved it after, use many guys his age would be competing on his level. Don't steal this man's credit now, he's paid the price for these mistakes. Why is he great? As a former sprinter myself high/college. I ran a best 10.4 in college before, an injury. He's about 39yrs and i'm willing to say, that 99% of men his age can't compete w the elite best in the world. He's getting 3rd pl and that is greatness you're watching. Guess, who beat U. Bolt, in his last 100m race before, he retired at 30yrs. I hope, i helped clear some of that ignorance. No disrespect just facts. Shalom.

The only athlete to be doing the double since Bolt retired. He's done incredible, considering how difficult it is to be competitive in ONE Sprint alone... nevermind both. And his Dominating Gold Medal in Tokyo was the icing on the cake.👍 Looking forward to watching Kerley And Degrasse... and Benarek, all race each other for the next few years.

@@johnnwako2488 I get what you're saying, certainly nothing like Bolt, but with Degrasse's season and the results he's had in BOTH Sprints, he would be the Top guy. And that's not just my own opinion but many others who are in the sport or have Track Channels. It could be decades before we see the likes of someone half as dominant as Bolt was, but what makes Degrasse the most dominant of TODAY'S present sprinters, is his success at both 100m and 200m races. That's what I meant. Not so much that he has dominated every race and every competitor. We may never see that type of dominance again?? At least not for a Long while in both events.

Well done Gatlin , the longevity man. If winning time is 10.06 in 2021 then it would be difficult to beat 9.58 .

Because of his doping usage. The gains you get from using doping can stretch for long periods and is backed by science. The reason he is good still is because his body hasn’t deteriorated in the way it should’ve since he’s cheated twice and used for years. He’s a disgrace

It's been a quiet season for Mike Rodgers. Normally he's a 9.9-10.0 guy. Definitely wouldn't have won anything in a big meet with that, but it would have won here. Gatlin will probably try for Eugene....might as well with it being right here. Same with Allyson Felix
