So it took some getting used to for all parties involved. I stand by the fact that this was a reason for our poor season. But I hope that next season will be better for him and the squad. And he spoke really well. He’s improved a lot as the seasons gone on. So hopefully he will have a strong season next year. Good luck.

De Gea's highest save percentage in the league during his last three seasons was 71,1%, and Onana ended this season with a save percentage of 74,9%, which is the highest in the league, as well as having made the most saves in the league. Sure, De Gea has had 80%+ seasons, but his average across all seasons at Manchester United is below what Onana got this season, so Onana is of to a good start. I'd say that Onana kept this season from being much worse, as opposed to having been the reason it was bad.

Gary is an excellent interviewer. Asks good questions and makes them feel comfortable by respecting their craft and its challenges.

Always thought he was a big character with marble shoulders, but this video just prooves it and more. He is l, and will be a great player for Manchester Utd. The type of character this club has too little of and desperately needs more of. More Big Player Mentality signings please @manutd 📝

After a tricky start he’s had a really good first season, and was probably Utd’s best player along with Bruno in the second half of the season. Has what it takes to be Utd’s keeper for years to come. Just needs a settled back line in front of him.

What a positive person. He knows they have had some injury problems this year but is still positive for next season. I must admit i was on the fence about Andre but after this interview i am right behind this man and his mentality. Big shout out to his shout out about our senior players,Bruno,Harry,Casemiro trying to do the right things in the dressing room when every x player was bashing them and telling them to retire and move on.Massive respect. Glory glory man united in the very near future.

I remember watching Peter, Edwin and David thinking “a dustbin could be in goal right now and we’d still keep a clean sheet” The number of shots this man has had to face and the % he has kept out cannot be ignored. With a good consistent back line this man is world class.

Only David last season and first season tbf, all other seasons he faced a lot of shots. Both top shot stoppers

He is already world class

Fair points on David’s era - he was more inconsistent than Edwin and Peter. But my point is more about the defence being solid. For example Jose’s season where he finished second with 81 points. There were games where David may as well not have turned up. Erik’s tactics drive the opposite at the moment and that has to change.

I know he made some mistakes this year and had some poor games at times, especially in the champions league, but he’s also had so much to do compared to other keepers and has at times kept the score down or kept us in games on his own. His save percentages are amazing considering the amount of shots he has faced. Would love to see him with a settled defence in front of him, and being able to take even more risks with passing like he did at Inter. People complain about United not having leaders and Bruno being the only captain choice, but I think Onana has just shown he’s also a strong leader here and has the mentality to succeed at this club.

they might’ve put this up before the FA cup so that when City won, people would come back here to clown Onana and the team. But they won so this interview hits better
