Shopping Cart Overload ║ Large Family Shop with Me Vlog │July 2017

It's time for our monthly trip to Walmart to stock up in snacks, paper towels and other household items. We're also picking up new shoes for 6 of the kids. I always order all I can on Walmart's website before going into the store because it's hard to get everything into one cart. This month many of the large, bulky items that I wanted were out of stock on the website so I had to pick them up in the store. That caused cart overload! Once everything was bagged up, I needed two carts to get it all to the van. One of the cart attendants pushed the second cart out for me. Since we started going to Walmart once a month rather than once a week, we spend about half as much money there as we used to even though we still get everything on the list. In addition to Walmart, I also stopped at JoAnn and Office Depot today. (We still shop once a week at our local grocery store. That's where we pick up fresh produce and fresh meats. We buy milk every other week at a separate grocery store. We buy bulk baking supplies, organic produce and supplements from Azure Standard.)

Have been praying extra for Andreas family as they just did Easter without her, and as they move towards mother's day and the warmer months. So I've had her on my mind all month, and been watching some of her videos again to honor her. She pointed so much love into being a mom, managing the family, enough to last a lifetime. I was born in the late 50's but the early to mid 60'sbeing mamas tag along i loved shopping with her ...family of 5 girls and also a baby granddaughter later, plus mom and dad moms cart was always this full...for around $50. I remember this...

Awesome monthly haul as usual! I coupon most of our stuff and food when I can. But I'm totally contemplating going to a monthly haul while we use our stockpile up a bit. I used to stock at Walmart on third shift. So sometimes I would have a few carts full of cardboard at the end of the night. Take the child buckle and loop it through the back of another buggy. Then pull the buggy as you go. Just a tip just in case they don't have someone to help next time. ❤️

Enjoy all your videos. These hauls are interesting for your big family. Kids are so helpful and kind to one another, it is sweet. Solomon and Claudia are so adorable. All the kids are but these two are so funny. Love the color coding you use, you have such good ideals . You don't shop at Sam's, but they sale chips in a case of 50 for around $11, lots of varieties. I agree with you on clothing. I live in CT and besides Once Upon a time (expensive thrift store) the rest are junky or sell home items. I buy all our clothing on Clearance in store and online. While pregnant I bought my son's wardrobe until 4T for a total of $400 including coats and shoes until size 10(name brand at that at a store closing). And he has more than enough to the point he out grows them before I pop the tag which I save for the next. It's how you spend not how much you spend your hard earned money.

I was wondering just where that pillow stuffing was going to land next and then you added a mop 😂😂😂. We have a very small grocery store in town and I buy whatever I can there too to support local business. Recently they opened a bigger box grocery store across town and I thought it would be the demise of our little store but it's had the opposite effect! The 'big' store is always PACKED with tourists, to the point you can't find a parking space... All the locals now shop at the little store just to avoid the chaos!

Just a thought... Have you considered doing two transactions at Walmart? Get the non-perishables first (paper goods, chips, soda...) and get them into the van. Then go back in and get the perishables?

the things you said about the shoes - honestly, I'm wondering why you're wearing the shoes all the time (like, indoors as well). Wouldn't they last longer if you'd only wear them outside, plus, floors would be much cleaner as well! Also, I find it quite fascinating you buy matching clothes but not matching shoes. No citicism here, just something I noticed!

I grew up wearing shoes from the time we got up to the time we went to bed. It's much easier to be productive when you're dressed for "business" all day long. Kicking off shoes tells my brain to relax. I've taught my kids, the best I can, to get ready for the day and stay that way. It's much easier to run outside to take care of things or help customers that stop by our office when we don't have to dress our feet each time. I know some people think it's almost a sin to wear shoes indoors :), but I find it works much better for us that way! It's also super annoying to always be trying to find shoes for the little ones who don't keep them on their feet. I'm working on them teaching them to stay shod all day. Even if I think the shoes are put away safe in the closet, inevitably they've disappeared when we need them!

I was watching you with the polyfill having to keep readjusting it in your cart I bet you were like ugh too bulky! That's a great deal on shoes glad you found them! I was wondering if you would stock up on back to school supplies from Office Depot and Walmart great time to get them! I like to buy ahead on Christmas presents when I find a good deal too! I hope Eden didn't see them while you were van! That was nice of the Walmart employee pushing your extra cart out for you don't think that would happen where I live!

I wondered why i didnt order the walmart grocery pick up and got the general merchandice 1st and then pull up and get the pick up order.. about half way around I thought, you need t stop check out with one car and get a 2nd full they way you shop with the bits and bobs first you could, especially on big days and then restart at the same point, it might save n the lifting and be rearranging all the time and you could have got all Tom's water the van would take the lad. some one else has said that you can order on line then pick up in store shopping from Walmart if you did this with the heavy stuff you may not get so tired. that is a nightmare shopping trip

Thank you... :) Sometimes someone fails to get their shirt into the laundry basket and it might be lost under the lego bench or something for days. I don't always notice until it's time to wear that color and we have a missing shirt. Justus and Solomon are notorious for doing that! Then there's a snowball effect; Solomon wears a different color so then _that_ color is dirty when we need and on it goes!
