Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 19. In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America opening for Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. In 2023 they did 75 shows in thirteen countries, opening for Muse nine times, opening for Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMAs. In 2024 they will play Shiprock, Tecate P’al Norte Festival in Monterrey, Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, tour Europe, Mad Cool festival in Madrid, and the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. They are classically trained pianists; Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They were on the Ellen Show in 2015. They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. Later, all graduated high school through home schooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015. They started as a cover band; the Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Welcome to The Warning. They have no weak points. They are all above average musicians. Daniela (Dany, 23) guitar vocals, Paulina (Pau, 21) drums vocals, and Alejandra (Ale, 19) bass, backing vocals. Pau has won a couple industry drumming awards and is nominated for a couple more that haven't closed yet. They've just celebrated their 10 year anniversary as a band, which puts them extremely young when they started. They just don't write bad songs and their lyrical content is always meaningful. This song is a warning to not be a disciple, think for yourself is a common theme. They just never disappoint.

The only weakness i can find is that, by Ale's own choice, the bass and her supporting voice are muted in the audio mix in both the albuns and live. It is a pity that Ale, who is as talented as her sisters and also a very good singer and an accomplished bass player, decides by her own choice to be such a second fiddle to their elder sisters. She could as easily be as a lead singer as her two sisters. At it would be cool to hear her bass play sound be more predominant in the audio mix, as a good bass riff is one of the best things to listen to a rock song. Yet she choses to be so much in the background. Still, on stage it is impossible to ignore her. I hope she becomes more of a frontwoman in their future albuns and live concerts.

Their live version of 'Evolve' for the MTV VMAs was insane, maybe one of their best performances, definitely worth reacting to! As already mentioned, just be careful about the MTV outro from that performance, it's obnoxiously loud.

These three young women moved me out of my indifference to the current mainstream music offerings. Bought my 1st concert tickets this millennium to see them open for Three Days Grace in Vancouver. To me there are three things I look for in music: musicianship, vocals and meaningful lyrics. So many bands fall short on one or more of these aspects. TW seems to hit a home run on every song.

While they are a headbanging rock band, their music is quite diverse. ''Choke'' excellently showcases Dany's singing abilities. In ''Revenant'', ''23'', or ''Narcisista'' it's Pau's time to shine, taking full lead while playing drums on the latter two. Ale's bass lines are always so groovy. Their VMA's appearance is must watch, they play two songs there ''More'' and ''Evolve'' which probably is their most headbanging song to date. And yes, they are one of the most talented and fun to watch bands out there, big future ahead of them.

Nice reaction, thanks for your insights as a singer. These are 3 sisters from Mexico, they have been playing as a band for 10 years despite their young age. The guitarist, Daniela, is the main lead singer, but sometimes Paulina, the drummer, takes the lead on some of their songs (23, Dust to dust, Narcisista), or, like here, they share the lead (Paulina did indeed sing the second verse). Paulina can have a strong and raspy voice when she wants. The third sister and bassist, Alejandra, generally does not take the lead but she always sings backing vocals with a softer voice, often in a lower register. You could appreciate the two songs they sang at the MTV VMA (More and Evolve), or the other songs from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert which is excellent. They also did a TEDx conference in 2017 ("You have been warned") where they sing 3 of their original songs; they already show their professionalism at a much younger age.

I'm so glad you finally got around to The Warning. You're about to find out about The Warning Army - a large, vocal and extremely loyal fan base. I've been a member of TWA for several years now and this is the first time since I was a teenager (in Toronto in the 60's) that I've become such a fanboy. One of my many favourite aspects of The Warning is how young they were when they first started and how young they still are. Ale, the bass player just turned 19 on the 13th of December and they've been rocking this hard for a decade now. Do the math! The other, most important aspect of the songs they write, such as Disciple, is the depth and maturity of the lyrics. You really owe it to yourself to read the lyrics to this song now that you've heard it. Welcome to the best rabbit hole you'll ever fall down.

Paulina, the drummer, can be raspy when she wants to be. She does my favorite cover of Radiohead's "Creep", and her leads on "Dust to Dust" and "Narcisista" are impressive. I've seen them live twice, and the amount of energy they put out throughout their sets is amazing. They interact with their followers more than any other band I know of. Somewhere there is a video of Paulina saying how she had to work the drum parts so she could sing at the same time. Some artists write their music for the studio, the Warning writes their music so it can be performed live - and for the most part, their live performances are better than the studio versions.

From drummer Paulina - Disciple is a song about social media, right? and how opinions are bought in social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know and how by like feeding ignorance and cultivating hate, like people gain a lot of power and money So that's what Disciple is about The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 👊😃

I heard the warning for the first time a couple years ago and was hooked. Especially after watching their TEDx talks from 2017. I highly recommend that as it gives you great insight into who they are as human beings and what their values and work ethic is. They're not just three women, but three sisters from Mexico. Pure energy flowing on stage between DPA and the audience, relentles, packed with great riffs, bass lines and drum fills, with lyrics thats are both catchy, insight- meaningful. This is a good one to check out the lyrics along with - you'll find there are two voices, or character perspectives, in the song - and they switch lead singer between the guitar and the drummer when switching perspectives. Really "Master Class" songwriting here. And they both / all have astoundingly great voices!

My favorite rock band of sisters from Mexico. Thanks for the great reaction to them. Being that you are a musician yourself, I think you'll appreciate their instrument prowess and like you said, their ability to give such a full sound for being three of them. A true power trio. I'm sure others have said how to pronounce their names, but Dany (Dan-nee) guitar, Pau (POW! like the sound she makes) drums, and Ale (Ah-leh) bass. All play piano (classically trained). None of them have one voice texture. All of them can go from a smooth harmony to hard rock voices. That sweet sounding middle section "Swimming with the fishes til they drown ..." was Pau. For this song, they added a guest guitarist who plays the Mexican 10 string bass. He shares their last name, Villareal (Vee-ya-ree-al) but is not related, so as a joke they call him "primo" (cousin in English) They have 3 albums and 2 LPs. 49+ original songs, none bad.

Releasing 3 studio albums, 2 EP’s & 4 singles, over 50 original songs. The Warning are renowned for sounding even better live than they already do on studio releases. As young children, learning classical piano, before taking up their current instruments as pre-teens. The drive to be professional musicians and to be a band has always come from the 3 sisters. Welcome beautiful to the warning army. Pretty soon, you will be over whelmed by susggestion of this particular band. Every song has a unique message behind it. This band is going to amaze you by each song. They started playing as a band at the age 9, 12, 14. They did a cove to enter sandman at a young age, which went viral, and kicked off their career. In the updated version of rock band video game, these 3 young ladies have a song or 2 in the game, since that what jump started desire to play these instruments.

I have seen them live twice and they are top notch, studio quality, hard charging performers. The whole team (management, techs, and sound) have a real grasp on how this should be done. They are 3 rock n roll hurricanes that play every venue (from a few hundred to tens of thousands) with an energy that is hard to describe. I love them and can't wait for them to come to my city again! Long live rock n roll!

Really fun and insightful reaction - new sub here. As many have said, you can't go wrong with any song you check out from The Warning. And while they have great music videos, I'd highly recommend diving into their live stuff as they truly bring the energy, and their stage charisma is off the charts. Some quick suggestions - either of their two songs from the recent MTV VMAs a few months back, "More" (which is a poppy/funky/heavy rocker in line with "Muse") or "Evolve" (which is pure hard rock). For a real treat, check out their song "23" live from the same concert you just watched (Teatro Metropolitan) but is sung entirely by Paulina, the drummer. It's truly a power ballad and she conveys all the emotions of pain, loneliness and guilt, all while pounding the drums. Looking forward to watching you get "Warned" even more!

Dani’s bad ass vocal fry has totally developed in the last year. Pau, the drummer, has a very sultry voice, and plays like Jon Bonham in 5’1”, 90 pound package. She’s a hard hitter. Ali’s bass playing is off the charts brilliant.
