First and foremost, thank you guys for sharing Dimash with your friends! Dimash is such a masterful vocalist that it’s hard sometimes to fathom how gifted and talented he is. He’s unbelievably that good. He has devoted all his life to his art. What those people may not know is that Dimash is not only classically trained - he even declined a position as an opera singer when he was only 22; but also he has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 4 or 5 years old. Truth be told, his voice is even more impressive live: I was somewhat surprised by the sheer power of his voice. His vocal abilities are incredible. I was lucky enough to attend his first solo concert in NY in 2019 and I can confirm that he definitely sang live. After that concert, I became a Dear for life! Moreover, you can easily find videos on KZbin showing Dimash singing all the time, in between takes when shooting an MV, during photo shoots, at the airport, etc... My point is that lip synching is not something Dimash likes to resorts to: some TV shows/venues call for it. After all, he practices about 3 hours/day for a reason! At last, bear in mind that post production is a thing, like in this video (it was not his concert here, he was a guest at the international singing competition The Slavic Bazaar). ✅ THE ULTIMATE DIMASH GUIDE • Dimash in concert (The raw side) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpjdfpmAqrh8bMU This high quality video is really well edited and put together: I really enjoyed watching the footage/fan cams of his warm and funny interactions with his audience during his concerts. I was also impressed at his professionalism when dealing with technical difficulties: it didn’t deter him from putting on an amazing performance and his vocals are always on point, no matter what! Dimash is indeed a musical prodigy, and an exceptional vocalist. Here are other links of Dimash’s live vocals: Vocal practice session: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iInCZYd6arpoqpo . Please check that video out and you’ll understand why he’s the king of vocal dynamics: his mastery of the crescendo and diminuendo is incredible, and he was only 22 in that video! Here’s the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6mvmaqce6uIh9U This high quality fan-cam captures his beautiful voice and shows that he is singing live flawlessly. You could even show /(react to) that one to /(with) your skeptical friend, along with ✅ THE ULTIMATE DIMASH GUIDE mentioned above. 😉 Bonus: please find below a few different live versions of SOS (fan cams) to check in your downtime (there are many more but those should suffice lol) proving that Dimash can certainly sing SOS live, which he always does during his own solo concert. I agree; I tend to prefer reactions that don't stop so often, especially to joke about the video, the lyrics, or the artist. In terms of the translation, unless you know French, you won't truly be able to appreciate the meaning of the song; some of the lyrics are hard to translate without sounding a bit strange. In French, it's heart-rending.

You need to show him Daididau from Bastau where he takes out the inner ear, points to them to tell the booth they are not working. Tries to put them back in and they continue not to work. He takes them out and continues to sing with pure perfection. Yep, he did that.

This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZbin ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won). * Original: Daniel Balavoine - SOS d'un terrien en détresse (Starmania) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5y9pneeqrmerqc

Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-deye-bear-ghen) Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Dimash is a singer, composer, actor, multi-instrumentalist, video director, scriptwriter and entrepreneur. Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. The grandfather was a professional dombra player, his grandmother was a teacher and sang. His mother Svetlana Aitbayeva has a classical education (not opera). His father, Kanat Aitbayev, is also a singer, songwriter and producer. The two are well-known throughout the country and have been awarded the title of Honored Music Artist of Kazakhstan. Both have been seen on the big stages and on television in Kazakhstan for many years, often together. Listen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmiUoKdnqreNgrM According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house. Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life." Dimash wasn't a child prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician and he grew up surrounded by music. As a young boy (3 years old) he often sat in the audience at his parents' performances and ran onto the stage when they bowed at the end and he did the same. While other children drew cars or princesses, Dimash drew a music studio and the instruments. * Dimash kid interview for local studio 2006 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooXNeYqVfq2Hia8 In his childhood Dimash trained Taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, he dribbles very well with a soccer ball - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaXCnaKhhL9_jdk and even takes additional dance lessons for his Dears. Dimash's role models are Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and very important Michael Jackson. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 14 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Dr. Phil Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃 Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (Interview with his first voice teacher - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGjLnJaBjqahnsk ... but he was not deterred, won national and international competitions. In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃 Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. His dad founded with a friend (his son called Ali) the company named DimashAli. In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. His first album sold out in 37 seconds and triple platinum in under an hour. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot. Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian without accent (second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 14 languages, trains his voice for 3 hours every day... but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results". Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. His current range so far is G0 - D8 (out of piano)! Video about his vocal range: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ7SkICAl6yGoNk At least, that show us Dimash. 😃 Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are not just limited to the tremendous range of over seven octaves and mixing of all musical genres, but it is the incredible command of his instrument, his voice and the emotional touch of people ... that brings us back again and again fascinates and surprises and again ... Such an assortment is a very rare gift and can only be achieved, maintained and perfected through tireless and never-ending training. Dimash cannot be pigeonholed. Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink ice drinks and he doesn't like socks. He love fire and water on stage, as a set of course. 🤣 A Dear gave him knee pads, but he says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃 Dimash looks good, is one of the 100 most beautiful men in the world and a globally sought-after model. Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it. Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, 10 million in clubs in 142 countries (documented). Dimash calls us 'Dears' because we are as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer on Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They maintain good manners and, above all, help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. Dears want to do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his Dears around the world. Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, feed your soul or push you off your chair. Tissues are always recommended, also for metal heads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash takes out the left earbud! Get to know Dimash, his singing, his diversity, his development, his human size, his humility, his love for his Dears ( that's what Dimash calls his fans - they are just as dear to him as his family - and that's many millions of women and men aged 9 to 90 all over the world). What can he not do? Oops, he can't cook! 😃 Did I forgot something? Oh yes! He sings all the time, all day! He sings because he has to, it's his life and whenever he sings he lets us look into his heart and feel his soul. Please, NEVER react to the videos from The World's Best! For TV viewers, the songs are terribly mutilated and cut together. Most Dears boycott the videos, because: Dimash left the show before the finale because adults in his culture don't compete with children. The organizers lied to him when the contract was signed and they later humiliated him. Eyewitnesses here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/joLKdH14o7epjM0 On September 13, 2022, during an official visit of the head of the Catholic Church to Kazakhstan, Pope Franciscus awarded a medal to the world-famous Kazakh Dimash Qudaibergen. «Thanks to Pope Francis for the award. It's a huge honor for us,» Dimash posted. A Dear said: „Dimash deserves to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless promotion of world peace to peoples around the world.“ Everyone can only agree! There are good, great, excellent singers and there is DIMASH! Thank you, all Dears, for your help (www) ❤ Greetings from a Dear from Germany

Yes, it doesn't matter whether this staging was playback or not. It's him singing the song, whether in a studio at an earlier time or on that stage at that moment. Two of my favorite SOS versions are the Cannes Film Festival and the Spirit of the Great Steppe event. Both performances leave no doubt about anything and, beyond that, they're just stunning performances. But I would actually prefer that Andrea not show guitar player, Trey Xavier, those videos. He'd just default to the comment he already made, "Now I'd like to hear him sing without a microphone". Dimash has nothing to prove, and I wish Dimash's fans would stop jumping through hoops for unpleasant or skeptical reactors.

Argh--sorry, but I totally disagree. I don't mind reactors who just say, "this isn't really my kind of music," but people who mock the lyrics, style, etc. are not--IMO--reactors worth listening to. The best reactors always show respect for the artist and the audience, even if they don't like it.

Dimash seems to have an amazing ability to not be distracted when he's singing! At his concerts there is a camera guy following him around and literally circling him as he sings! Then at his last concert there were also drones flying over him! As for the drums, I remember when I watched the longer version of his Singer "SOS" that he was talking about the arrangement of the song and saying something about high notes and how it felt unnatural if the drums came in at a certain point. I think that even when he doesn't write the song, he is very involved with the arrangement of it. He has written several songs. He usually has someone else write the lyrics but he tells them what he wants the song to say or be about. I think this song has more ups and downs because it's what the song is about. Dimash often sang it for competitions. I think because it showed his range so well. I think may indeed have been a performance that did not allow live singing. Some (especially in Russia) don't. You can take a look at the "Singer" version to see him singing live. There is a fun (but long) video called, "Dimash singing without a microphone" where you can see him singing in his everyday life. He really does sing very perfectly! I enjoyed the reaction! (And the voice impersonation!)

The SOS lyrics were written in Quebec, Canada and this song has been done by lots of other singers to show off their skill with a 2 octave range 🤣🤣🤣 Have been a Dear since 2018 and am having a great time watching Americains reacting as if a world exists outside of the USA. Fun. 🤩

11:27 am. It’s good to understand the backstory of the song. It was written in the late 70’s, a famous French sci-fi rock opera. SOS was tailored to Daniel Bolavoine s 3 range voice by his best friend, Michel Berg. Luc Plamadon wrote the lyrics. The story is a 3 layered story about Earth being conquered by aliens. Johnny Rockfort, (Daniel Bolavoine) and his lover are in the midst of the battle when she is killed. She dies in Johnny’s arms and he sings SOS because he is questioning his existence without his dead lover. At the end of the song, he says , “sleep, my child, sleep “ and lets her go in peace. This may not mean much to others, but, personally it gave Dimash’s version so much more meaningful. An interesting note is that Dimash became acquainted with SOS when in early 2000’s ,Gregory Lamarchell won a French Academy contest singing it. In 2003, he died tragically from cystic fibrosis. Dimash, still a child, learned the song and when he was 15 or 16, he went to the stage of the French Academy and sang SOS in memory of Gregory Lamarchell. Compared to his 2017 performance on the I Am Singer competition, it was a little rough but was still well received. Many of Dimash’s songs have deep rooted backstories. He composes, at least a dozen, but leaves the lyrics to others. He composed My Belle, his father wrote the lyrics. He composed Unforgettable Day and his friends dad wrote the lyrics. There’s SO MANY layers to Dimash, to me, he’s the 8th Wonder of the World.

You have good ears.😂👍 Yes, this performance is playback but actually most of his sos performances are live. I think only few of them are playback and that is not bc he can’t sing but it is bc of other reasons like if the organizers allow or if they are prepared for live singing. So, that isn’t what Dimash can control and decide. Moreover, in Russia, lipsync is quite a common thing so that’s why sometimes he is forced to lipsync without any options.

Gracias 😊

In some performances, he waves the mic back and forth in front of his mouth to prove he is performing it live. He also often removes his in-ears before certain parts of a song. He does write songs, but he also has developed a friendship with famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who has written some songs for him. You are not the first to say that he is an alien.

Dimash sings 100% that well, and even better since. And there are dozens of "SOS" performances on the internet that are 100% live. The one from "The Singer" show is just one of them. Here, at Slaviansky Bazaar, the singing competition is live, and the guest performances (which is what Dimash was invited for here) are likely pre-recorded. A shame, really, to ask even a singer like him to comply with that. But, you can find Dimash`s live performance of "SOS" at Slaviansky Bazaar from when he actually competed and won - 2015 - and that is 100% live. One of my favorite performances of "SOS" by Dimash is Arnau Kiev 2020 one - 100% live : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2nMm3dvg5qHg80 . Dimash is the *king* of singing amazing 100% live.

Americans are so childish. Uncultured and disrespectful. Check out the live his performance of the music from Story of One Sky via fan cam. Suggest the video version first to understand the meaning. This took him 3 years to compose and produce. It is a masterful work of art. Dimash doesn't do music for fame, he does it because music is in his soul. His music is an experience rather than just something to have on a Playlist. Life is deeper than that to him. He comes from a different part of the world with a different history where priorities aren't so shallow. War. But watch that stage performance. Just him singing for 8-9 minutes straight. Tell me he needs a studio. No one can touch him. Singing live does matter.

I'm sorry to break it to you, Story of One Sky fancam was lipsynced. He always lipsyncs premieres of his new songs. I hope he sings it live eventually like he does with most of his songs, but this is the first time I've doubted he could sing something live. Not really a big deal as we know he can sing above anyone live anyway, but I just want to mention that. I also don't think singing live matters for Dimash, hes just as good live anyway lol
@Q-bazZ
@Q-bazZ 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ascension721 And your proof is? Don't start with 'the same audio' BS. Dimash is a world-class opera trained singer. So do you think all Pavarotti's live recordings were 'lipped' too, because it sounds identical? 🤣
@d.1368
@d.1368 2 жыл бұрын
@@Q-bazZ Besides identical audio, you can see from his body movement especially hard songs. For example, the song love of tired swans in Kiev or other countries that is live, he seems to put a lot more effort to sing compared to the lip sync one like in new wave. Moreover, if you compare the live one and lip sync one, they are a lot different. Even though he’s Dimash, he cannot sing that hard song two times identically.
@d.1368

the story of one sky in Almaty was lipsynced. It is normal that singers will lipsync some of their songs in concert. Although he is insanely good, he’s still human and need to take care of his voice considering the fact that most of his songs are hard to sing.
