This is fascinating. Some years ago I wrote about a biblical passage that had clearly been difficult to make sense of for some time (Deuteronomy 22:5). By using texts from other ancient Near Eastern cultures I was able to make sone progress, and this has led to a lot of interesting conversations. So I agree wholeheartedly with all this.

The human who uses a telescope 🔭 or microscope 🔬 has an expanded consciousness. A view of the “world” unlike his fellow man and disqualifying of certain beliefs of his fellow man’s. A human who uses a Bible also has an expanded consciousness. One that looks to history to disqualify certain beliefs of his fellow men.

Why is it so difficult to understand? Theology is the study of nature. Not the study specifically of teleology, but to better understand this very nature(s). How do things relate and why. What does it mean to be man? How does man relate to the Sun, stars and moon? What is life; this very experience? How is there this eco system? What is reverence and what do i pay homage to? Should i just take everything for granted? What is knowledge - really, what is Knowledge? What is love. What is Wisdom. What is light. How does man interact properly with nature? What is the purpose of man? What science does isn't the property of science, but the property of God. What is Reason, this Golden thread, that interweaves all things together. How could there be potiential formulas for medicine? What are the cycles of nature? What are the cycles in man? How is man a microcosm of the macrocosm? No genuine man of science would mock theology, only little boys do. Today, modern man interpolates his beliefs into the methodologies of science. For science deals with nature, and theology is the study of nature - for the property of nature is God's. Who can refute me?

Everyone will try but none will succeed. Nothing is more depressingly predictable than the snide, anti-theological commentary that follows these videos. The pompous declarations about the stupidity of the religious person. Or the emptiness of the religious claim. It’s really tiresome. One can dispute the worth or truth of religious belief without resorting to the cutting remark at trend. So few do who comment on this channel.

George g. believes theology is the study of religion. He just commented such. Theology has nothing to do with religion. Religion tries to have something to do with theology. Seeing people who think they're intelligent comment about what they know not, for me, is not amusing. I'm not entertained. Quite repulsed in fact. Every single time with these people - it' reification again and again; protecting their minds and what they think they know.

Science is not about truth; on the contrary, it is a methodology that helps to bridge understanding. Think of it as a problem-solving tool to get around the epistemological headaches of logical fallacies and unconscious biases. Conclusions drawn from empirical work are always contingent and tentative. Truth claims from faith are about churning out the best marketing brand for a particular tribe.

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Indeed 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 And once we, as a species, see how theology is so tribal in nature, it will be a metaphorical step on the Moon 🌝 advancement for mankind. And although there can be a lot of (even cut throat) competition in the sphere of science, still, at least theoretically, it can bring all of humanity under the same tribe. A scientist/physician named John Loannidis gives an informative lecture about the "reproducibility" tenets of the Scientific Method.

"Why Science and Theology so Fascinating?" ..because, if merge together, life can be so wonderful - where one finds better ways how to survive and the other finds meaning why we survive.... ..sadly, science and religion that were once so close together before Darwin emerged, are not together today.. The following may help you see the conflict : Religion - thinks that the freedom to choose to believe, or choose not to believe in GOD, can not be a natural property of physical matter enslaved by physical laws, but an un-natural or supernatural quality that can only possibly originate from Supernatural SOURCE or GOD... Science - thinks that if you blow up an unconscious rock into pieces with a grenade, its unconscious pieces will soon turn alive and conscious (Bigbang as they call it) to drive you to believe that your Original Mama is Darwin's IGUANA Yes, based on the above facts, religion and science today think differently indeed.... One has rational basis in having a sensible belief in the Supernatural Origin, while the other is suffering from psychosis...😢
