The banking situation is a reminder that Fed hikes are having an effect, even if the economy has held up so far,” It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. First SVB, then signature bank and now first republic bank, these are all the signs of yet another 2008 market crash 2.0. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $850K losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

@n0th4ckinqThat is about as far from the truth as can be, and to those who know the history of Christianity and Stoicism is obviously wrong. Stoicism is a philosophy of self-mastery. It is not about masters or servants. In fact many of those chose to serve either others or a higher purpose. Christianity serves a higher purpose. Through their devotion they overthrew the most powerful masters of the millennium, the Romans. If anything they're the antidote to slavery, either philosophical or practical. The only thing other than god they serve is their conscience, at least those who truly practice it and not merely use it as an excuse. And if you think you are not a slave to god I'd like to ask you how many laws of physics have you broken as of late? Regardless of whether you believe it is a god or nature that created the world, revering that thing that created the world and serving it is not a slavery to someone else, but either to your own beliefs and conscience or to an inescapable power. The latter of which makes no difference as everyone is unable to escape them, and the former makes you no slave as you serve your own will. The very thing will to power style beliefs attempt to replicate.

My focus as I aged was that my life is built on knowledge. What is your perspective and focus? The more knowledge I have the more I will understand what I desire to accomplish. The crux of this perspective is that by and large, people think they know what is right for them but they do not know they are right. These people insist that they are right from a perspective of ignorance. Know your facts and have them at hand to present your view. Be open to change that can be validated. Your path is not the same as anyone else. Money is a false reality of strength of power. If you lose everything, you are left with your knowledge base and are able to rebuild your life. Knowledge and experience are the two intangible elements that are needed to develop your life to more positive levels.

In your video, you discuss the red pill and blue pill communities, and how the stoic philosophies of Marcus Aurelius stand to the ideology of Tate and the red pill community's narrative. You also explore the role of KZbinrs and influencers in promoting masculinity, and whether they hold the key to true masculinity, strength, and control. Ryan Holiday, who is a guest on your show, makes a number of key points, including: The importance of the four stoic virtues: wisdom, justice, courage, and temperance. The true essence of power and masculinity, which is not about being aligned with the algorithm or achieving external success, but about finding fulfillment in life. How Only Fans has made slaves of men's values and beliefs. The importance of being able to show emotion, even as a man. The social media distortion that can make it difficult to aim at anything meaningful. I think that these are all important points to consider, and I appreciate you and Ryan Holiday for having this conversation. I am particularly interested in Ryan Holiday's point about the importance of the four stoic virtues. I believe that these virtues are essential for living a good and meaningful life, regardless of gender. I also appreciate Ryan Holiday's emphasis on the importance of finding fulfillment in life. I believe that this is something that we all need to strive for, and that it is more important than achieving external success. Overall, I think that your video is a valuable contribution to the conversation about masculinity. I hope that it will help people to think more deeply about what it means to be a man, and to find a path to masculinity that is based on their own values and beliefs.

One word that describes Ryan Holiday and Tom Bilyeu is they are truly humble and just want to provide a set of ideas to help the human race. What a surprise that being altruistic and working hard still can lead to amazing success...Andrew tait's of the world will never leave a legacy or help anyone, they will leave distruction and when he is counting his money in a rare moment of solitude, he trully feels alone and empty...but he will never admit it, he will work harder on clickbait to buy another ferrari to fill the empty void in his soul... BOTH OF U KEEP DOING WHAT U R DOING❤

This is an awesome discussion. It has revealed so much to me why I am what I am. Why I have been on this unknown journey of discovery. Why I have found myself so like not belonging on this planet. I have always thought there must be something wrong with me but deep within myself I wouldn’t bend to expectations regardless. One of my singles “This is me”, was all about me being me. Not bowing to societal expectations.

Such an excellent conversation. "One thing" if I might.........please tread very lightly when you speak of suicide. With all of my heart, I understand where people might think that the person is selfish because they are indulging in me me me. THIS in fact is not at all the truth. SELFISH people do NOT take their lives. A dear dear friend took his life 30 years ago. My uncle 18 years ago. My daughter left this world almost 5 years ago. All three were extremely kind, good, successful people. Hands down, my daughter was the most courageous, brave person I have ever known. She got up every day with a plan to live another day. She exercised, she spread joy, she and I NEVER stopped searching for answers......all the while, she never stopped working. Suicidal people are not people who deal with basic depression and you take actions (Andrew Tate, Tom, Ryan) that people suggest and your life turns around. It is FAR beyond that. I am NOT offended or an angry mom lashing out about the glib comments about depression/suicide, rather hoping to help people understand that it is deep. Continue the amazing conversations Tom. Many blessings

1:40 "First up, he's a sex trafficker" That right there is grounds for a hefty defamation lawsuit. Ryan Holiday said that as a statement of fact, and one asserted without any evidence. In law, accusation, even one leveled by a government, is not proof, and without proof of guilt, innocence must be the assumption, so to hear someone, anyone, just rattle off such a narrative inside the first couple of minutes of a discussion is disturbing. Governments throw allegations of sexual misconduct around against people whose ideas they don't like is an increasingly common practice, because they know that such allegations are particularly effective in keeping those people quiet, and that people who have been conditioned to accept whatever authority-figures say without question (especially Leftist sheeple) will repeat them without analysis or conscience. When someone asserts guilt on another person based entirely on an accusation... that is when nothing more they may say has any credibility with me

I really like Ryan Holiday and I've read his book the Obstacle is the way which I thought was very good... However his comments on Andrew Tate made him sound like the biggest hater.. Andrew wasn't found guilty. Ryan said he was sex trafficker like it was a confirmed fact. Also his tonality sounded slightly emotionally affected which discredits the statement even further. I like that Tom called him out on the that as well. Fair enough if Ryan doesn't agree moralistically with how Andrew made his wealth, blatantly calling someone something they are not convicted of goes to show how dangerous the power of the word is from the media and other influencers to infect someone at the caliber of Ryan Holiday with incorrect information.

to be fully stoic would defeat the purpose of that philosophy. Classic literature is to be combined with modern day literature and life in order to adapt to a current world rather than a world hundreds of years ago. It could however be argued that analysing the current issues in society, they stem from lack of self control to there being abundance (over monetary and over consumption - fast food, drugs, alcohol, sex). The philosophy to best control self of course is Stoic, Meditations, Seneca. Have an occasional cake or beer or feast or takeaway or internet binge or whatever, but don't let anything outside of yourself consumer your logic and choices. Everything you do is essentially your choice unless that is taken from your hands. Never commit crime because the punishment is your freedom.

Is he? His supposed wisdom didn't stop him from stating as fact that someone is a sex trafficker when that person has not been convicted, nor even tried, on sex trafficking charges. Indeed, his supposed wisdom didn't even give him a moment's pause to ask the question "Is this true, or is it slander?" enough to have him opine on the subject rather than blurt it out as a statement of [hitherto unsubstantiated] fact. Or perhaps you are the sort who believes that a man should be considered guilty and convicted based purely on an accusation, even one made without evidence? If you are, you had best pray fervently to whatever higher entity you believe in that someone doesn't accuse you of something heinous on a whim.

The fact that Ryan is so adamant about Andrew Tate being guilty of a crime that he has yet to be convicted of and clearly biased in his perception of him, makes his stance on anything afterwards, less then credible in my humble opinion.

Being physically strong and enduring physical hardships through grit is completely different from allowing yourself to be emotionally vulnerable when you're mentally distressed or feeling deep love. They are two very different aspects but we tend to associate one with the other in order to disprove some aspect of masculinity. I think we absolutely need to be mindful of this because you can't go on telling boys and men to be more feminine and that gender differences have no bearing on personality and mental predisposition and that it's all just a social construct meant to enslave women and blah blah blah. There's so much evidence we're finally figuring out to disprove these so-called "progressive" movements (I hate the term "progressive" as a label for something like this, it inherently justifies anything within it, because anything else would be "regressing", removing ANY burden of proof). There's a reason why men's mental health is at an all-time low. There's a reason why there's an unimaginable disparity in incarceration rates between men and women. There's a reason why there are twice as many suicides among men than women. There's a reason why school shootings are happening more and more and all by young men. People will argue that it's because men need to be more feminine and calm down and stop associating with masculinity because it's "toxic".... No, it's because for decades or even longer you've been telling men to NOT be men. And who is this "you"? You'd think I would say women, but no... it's weak men. Weak men who have been taking over to lead society. Both the Left and Right are lead by weak men. Neither party is free from blame. Neither shows strength through competence, neither shows humility without being deceitful, and both fail at pretty much everything they set out to do. All politicians need to just go where they belong, a goddamn nursing home. And what does all this breed? More weak men. Weak men who beat their wives and children, who manipulate, cheat and steel, shoot up schools and offices, drive busses into crowds of people... which just perpetuates the issue because we then use these instances to prove the original argument, which creates more and more weak men...

Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. It might be wiser for a novice to start with copy trading investing, but it is not easy. To invest in growth stocks it is another level, definitely you need to know what are you doing.

From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $255k in raw profits from just 6 months into the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial advisor as her diversification skills are top notch, because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

Let me beging by saying I like Ryan and I think he's done great work to advance Stoic wisdom and values into the modern world. I've read/listened to his books. I don't believe "ego is the enemy" as is one of his books title. I also subscirbe to his daily emails. What I wanted to say is, and I don't know how much Ryan knows about Andrew Tate and how much of his content he's watched, but I do believe that when Ryan starts talking about him as a "s*x trafficker" when he hasn't been proven guilty and has since been taken off house arrest, he should take a step back and pay attention to what he's saying and not base it only what the mass media puts out there about Tate. I'm not saying Ryan should not have an opinon about him, but he should also be aware that he could be potentially perpetuating lies if he in fact does not know much about him other than the fact that he was being investigated for a heinous crime. In one of Ryan's Daily Stoic emails aptly titled 'Judge Yourself, not others', he states "When you see other people’s weaknesses, use it as a rubric to judge and improve yourself. Not as a method for condemning or mocking." Food for thought
