If it was cold reading wouldn't the prediction be 100% correct? or much more than 50%? Is it cold reading or bad input in/bad input out? You have to contend with Gary's claims first, you can't put the cart before the horse and try and prove its a cold read when Gary isn't even claiming to do any kind of "read". It would be more apt to say that the numbers matching up can create the opportunity for the outcomes, but doesn't mean it will happen. I'm not sure how this would be debated in a strictly empirical way though. The conversation would need to be more esoteric, and less rigid to convey the ideas. The universe finds a way to make things happen in a way that is antiparadoxical, but i wouldn't trust this guy to tell me the future.

There is also the fact that you made time as if it is the center piece, when time is relative to the psyche, with many such studies showing that time is relative to belief. One such study took people in ther late 70's for only 1 week to essentially act as if they were back in the 1950's. After only 1 week there were significant decreases in physical health symptoms, an increase in cognitive capabilities, and they were on average seen as 3 years younger looking when rated by surveyors randomly when a before and after photo was compared. All the older gentleman had this same effect, existing in the 1950s through belief alone. In other words, seemingly unconnected events, being in a form connected, because the probability for it to happen statistically would be due to chance, yet these chance things happen all the time, which statistics can't predict. And in that, it is a fact. More easily put, everything happens for a reason, but can you connect the dots.

I'm confused why Andrew is doing psychic tests and then trying to catch Gary failing them when Gary explicitly tells him he's not psychic. Shouldn't he be doing tests that show why the predicative model is bad? The false birthday test was completely irrelevant. If it's a high or 100% then numerology has some credence. If not, its false on its face. Easy. The caveat is both parties would need to agree the prediction is sufficiently specific.
