I’ve always voted (56 years old) but always with feeling “this is better than the alternative”. This is first candidate I’ve ever been excited about, donated to, and knocked on doors for. He is by far the best candidate (intelligence, compassion, humor, energy, seriousness and logic ) we have ever seen. He is not a DC insider and wants to help ALL Americans - NOT only students and people needing child care, but ALL Americans.

Who else talks about how we need to make sure Chinese tech companies don't set their own standards for the world to adopt? msdhark this comment put my feelings into words. I never really knew why I got so excited listening to Yang this whole time, especially considering I’m a conservative. I guess it’s just the idea that a politician is not only willing, but welcomes the opportunity to speak with folks across the aisle. Who’s willing to have actual discussions and use evidence and logic as arguments instead of simply attacking opponents. That’s how progress is made. Update again: And I will still wear the stupid hat. Update: My initial reaction to his suspension was to vote Trump. I was never fond of Bernie policies. I will not be persuaded to vote blue or red no matter what. I still feel that he is the most qualified and likely to change people's lives in one term. I will still vote for Yang 2020. I'm active duty military. I voted for Donald Trump and identified as mainly a conservative. Yang shifted my entire mindset on politics. Now that I am an adult, identity politics exists everywhere and no one believes in politicians. Lets be clear, politicians do not care about your family. Yang is a husband, a father, and a patriot that created thousands of jobs during a recession. He is the candidate most likely to change the U.S. within a single term. I really understand it must be frustrating getting so close to the election of Bernie and than to see another candidate stealing some of his votes in such a close race. So yeah, with all the pain from 2016 I do see how one can get to dismissing Yang as another Trump. But he really isn't and your view is clearly biased. So maybe do some soulsearching, try to watch some long form interviews with Yang and I bet you will find, he isn't the "Trojan horse" or the "snake" you want to make yourself believe he is.
