Don’t see any leadership, just another echo chamber. What’s worse, his parents worked so hard to send him into expensive elite indoctrination camp, here he is, an useful idiot, totally forgot how he gets there! Only hardworking and taking responsibility can take you to success! And I am reminded and determined not to make the same mistake on my children!!!

I was with the YangGang when Andrew was running for president. Being a European citizen the NewYork mayoral election does not carry the same consequences for the whole world, as well as for myself. So I don't follow Andrew that much anymore, but I know that he is a leading contender. Good luck Andrew. Good luck New York. Choose Yang and have an honest and driven mayor for your city.

Whenever I needed a booster a hope for a human centered economy, I do an inspiring round of the following Yang videos: 1) JRE interview with Yang 2) NPR’s Off Script with Yang (in NYC) 3) Shapiro interview with Yang 4) Have I missed one? I’m a Brooklynite far from home (Expat in Saigon) but if Yang gets by the NY Machine (which can only happen via everyday people (voters) showing up to vote - it will be the genesis of a new generation of governing for the greater good. God bless America, my home, sweet home.

@madrooky13983 жыл бұрын
It shouldnt matter. That is what identity politics is all about. If you categorize and tag yourself it is very easy to lose track what you actually want. You tell us, as someone who is slightly leaning to the right, what do you want?
@jamesu38163 жыл бұрын
@@madrooky1398 Great point. If its not about policy, frankly I don't care all that much. Thats why I hate the "restore the soul of america" (biden) or "make america great" (trump). Like what does that actually mean? Nothing it means nothing. . . That being said, I still would support any Democratic candidate almost over any Republican candidate because the republicans are literally a borderline fascist party right now. But I like that Yang addresses future and current economic problems and lays out policy to address it, I think this appeals to the right leaning people because it seems authentic as opposed to virtue signaling, and the democratic party does a lot of that. That being said the Republican Party is the king of virtue signaling in reality. They give dems a hard time about their general lame wokeness, but I mean this is the party that has the evangelicals who wear american flags as shirts, and supporters who all wear red hats to identify themselves. . . .LOL if there is a party of hollow lame virtue signaling that says nothing about policy the GOP takes the cake.
@madrooky13983 жыл бұрын
@@jamesu3816 Yeah i agree. And you know that two party system is never able to represent all groups of a diverse country like the US. Everything is just glued together with shallow patriotism, but nobody cares that this left vs right bs is not reflecting anything meaningfull. Not any republican is a fascist, but most fascists are in the GOP. Same for the dems and lefties. Like Biden, that dude is a conservative, he is just not in the GOP because he is not mean enough. And as you said, he kinda says the same Trump has said, where is the fucking difference between build back better and make it great again? He is just selling it in a nicer way... I say democracy is not working anymore. Corporations, special interest groups and media is so strong nowadays that the pure capitalist incentive that drives them let them undermine democracy. This has lead to stagnation, and anyone who is going to brake this up is attacked from all these groups. Facebook alone is such a powerfull platform. Since trump was banned he lost almost all his public presence. Im not saying its bad that Trump is gone, but it makes clear what i mean about too much power in private companies. People need to stop waving the flag blindly and start digging what is going wrong, otherwise America is evolving into a corporate dictatorship.

Make sure you don’t give virus to ppl.
@frangelelink3 жыл бұрын
I follow and agree with many of Yang’s proposals but this one is off for me. Have you guys seen India recently? Come on now this virus still can pack a punch and New York is in a perfect position to be overwhelmed again. There is population density here, and schools can be the breeding ground. Many teachers, staff and principals are older and their lives and their home members are put at risk by forcing them to return to school. Yes there is inconvenience and a missing of opportunity for some kids development for a year or two but there is a bigger picture here. Yang as a numbers guy where is the science to back this position up? I don’t see it.
@emerraldx3 жыл бұрын
we have vaccine access that India does not and the fact that kids can’t be vaccinated yet just means the rest of us adults need to be
@frangelelink3 жыл бұрын
@@emerraldx this is not just now, Yang has been arguing to open schools up since last summer! I am not so sure that would have been wise. We have to do this gradually not a flip of switch plan, watch the data and do things in digestible phases not all at once. At any rate the fact that the whole country has been out sync around measures is prolonging this chaos, and many are to blame for that. if you look at China they understood that in order to be more free later on they had to sacrifice just a few month of intense lock down. But as Americans Individuality rules and we cannot tackle societal problems like these without that bigger picture mindset.
@PoliticalDiscourse3 жыл бұрын
Yeah let's stay locked down forever. Children have been out of school for over a year. If you're that afraid then stay home.
@frangelelink3 жыл бұрын
@@PoliticalDiscourse China lockdown more intensely only for a few months than any American could have accepted and now they need not be locked down indefinitely or “forever”. Our individualistic mindset is prolonging the virus. This virus is not an individuals freedom question. An individuals choice has impact on the whole, this type of thinking represents a total misunderstanding of the way virus works, but i say that this is the fault of our individualistic culture. How can China thrive without the need of vaccine at the moment, and India perish? Both countries of billions of people? Collective unwavering action is what made the way. Now vaccine is here this is the next best thing but we have to do it collectively, too many are denying it and slowing down the impact, thus slowing down the opening of schools. Root causes, root causes. China’s schools have been open since last year, think about it.
