No idea why it took so long to get this watched...what a great camp. I'm with you! Those whispy clouds in the evening. Love it. And what a morning!.just looked stunning. My Pillar film I went past the rock it's a great area. Easy up from there. I've done the traverse a few times. A great approach to the Rock indeed. Look forward to your next. I've one planned for Monday but as usual....the weather looking dubious 😮😮

One of my first ever camps in the lakes, Pillar. Camped it twice along with Kirk fell. They never seem to disappoint. Great scenes there pal. 👍🏼

Another beaut that pal. Camped on 60 Wainwrights is incredible. We use the BeFree filter and have been impressed up to now. Brilliant bit of kit.

Being out in the hills in those conditions, whether camping or running all night, is truly magical. Makes up for about 6 months of shite at work!

Unbelievable scenes Andy, fantastic spot and the cloud formation was stunning. Would I be right in thinking that there is a path that goes off to the left just after Gatherstone Head which takes u up to Looking Stead. Enjoyed that one👍

I climbed Yewbarrow as part of the Mosedale Horseshoe walk. Never found the straightforward path the guide mentioned. Ended up having to throw my bag and dog up a pretty dodgy ledge. Pre GPS days.

Great video as always Andrew, what electrolytes do you use and do they help with energy etc.
@AndrewBeavers8 ай бұрын
i use the sis ones..they keep the levels of salts & minerals topped up you lose through sweating hence then you do feel you have more energy.

Hi Andrew, Please could you tell me how you clean your Katadyn filter post-hike? They recommend purification tablets after every hike, but then I guess those tabs could just be used to purify water during said hike 😁.
@AndrewBeavers8 ай бұрын
i give it a good rinse at home then store it in a jar filled with water..basically thats it & it keeps it in good working order.
@steadyasshesews8 ай бұрын
@@AndrewBeavers thanks for the Katadyn care info, very useful. As a newbie to wild camping and the Peak District, I learn a ton from your videos, thank you.

Hello, thinks it’s very good of you to be a supporter of the LGBT community I assume that’s what your logo is representing? I’ve not actually seen many people with KZbin channels supporting pride via their own logo. Great video.
@AndrewBeavers8 ай бұрын
cant say it represents anything really just a logo from a framed piece i had done on completing the wanwrights..if it has any representation to anything its by total coincidence..
