I love old dodges but they do have flaws. The rusting they go through Is a shame. No plastic in the rear fender wells! Therefore snow and salt sticks to metal and rots it. My 03 1500 is clean all over except for rear fenders and a little rust on the rocker panels. Very little surface rust on frame my friend took good care of it. Solid truck. Still got it’s power runs fantastic and drives great. 203k on it and it don’t give a fuck.

That fluid film is the best. I’ve been using that product for over 25 years. We also drill holes in the doors and coat the inside. Do the engine compartment and inner fenders too. We take the taillights out and have a extension pipe connected to the 360 nozzle and gets above the wheel wells coated good. Gotta keep the NY road salt from destroying our vehicles. Keep up the great work on the videos Andrew.
@jasonmorehouse37562 жыл бұрын

It’s actually not because blaster has made a new product in the past few years called surface shield and it’s way better than the fluid film according to repair geek who conducted independent testing on a variety of products and the results speak for themselves. Andrew, my brother-in-law, used to put a load of dirt in the back of his pickup. Not saying you need to do that. But if you used your fork lift, to load a pallet with heavy load, it would give you really good traction. My brother in law was able in Minnesota , to drive thru snow up to top of his hood. At first I thought we were going to have to walk home, but it plowed right thru snow, without a blade on. I'm sure you have concrete blocks laying around, put some on pallet, and have it ready to plow. You will never get stuck again.😊❤

@Ben T. the main issue with it is that all current after-market modifications aren't compatible whether it be a salter, a plow, or a toolbox. Additionally, there aren't all that many dealerships and you could have a long drive to get parts for it.

@@LifeRunner4000 not only is stainless itself more expensive (about 10x as much), also working with it is a major pain in the ass (read - also expensive). There's a good reason cybertruck looks like from an 80s video game, and it's not just the aesthetics.

@@joshuamcpeek4708 "but for now (until batteries match the Energy density of diesels) diesels are best for gruelling hard abuse and suffering." Exactly. Batteries will never achieve the energy density of fossil fuels. Their advantage is in not having to idle in stop and go traffic. You certainly can't take tesla off paving. It'll fall apart. And tesla's stock price/market cap is about 100 times too high. It loses money on every car built except for the EV credits it sells to other profitable ICE car makers. The 10 or 20 year old ones AC uses for snowplowing.
