I like cards that fundamentally change playstyles like more more more, BK's jolt or the inara card that allows her to jump (forgot the name). these "pseudo talents" allow for more creative and diverse loadouts. I will give the new omen a try but I'm afraid he will be a lot worse now. having to mark 2 people seems no big deal but I think it will be very counterintuitive and the payoff is kinda nonexistent in the late game

@@Adrostos I do agree putting that at basekit would be a bit too much, maybe make it so you can't increase the knockback in any way so the CC isn't too strong? (And the lift too, since that card exists.)

I'm sad. When Omen was released, it was my favorite dps. Then they rework the card More More More and the talent umbral lance, it become just a dps i enjoy. Now, it's just a dps without identities... Gimmi back my old Omen xd

The spreading your damage so you can get healed is an awful idea. It’s completely counter productive from defending yourself from a flank. It’s especially egregious because it’s basically a jenos mark and if you’re close enough to apply apply it you’re likely cauterized and it’s going to be basically worthless like a lot of characters “heal on x” cards. He should have easy access to movement speed but them making it a card is horrible because it just switches your mandatory omen card from more more more to that one. He’s completely gutted. Only reason more, more, more, was a problem at first is because his original umbral lance gave him permanent range. And it scaled too high. Both have since been gutted and he has not been overpowered or strong since. But now his range damage is way worse and the consistency of him hitting a full damage shot from effective range is still low. Especially because the way his pellets work. People only hated more more more still because they were salty about when it was too strong. And after all his changes umbral lance is still his best talent. And the others are lack luster. Now he hits like a noodle and you’re better off playing binary star jenos. Also double barrel omen was never op or meta. People scaled it to tier 3 or 4 max and that’s when the card started to become problematic because he had ridiculous poke with old umbral lance. Hes a shell of a character now and these changes were poorly thought out. They simply removed more more more because it was popular opinion to dislike it from when it was op. It hasn’t been a problem since, and they gave him essentially nothing in return. Not touching any of his talents is robbery.

Frankly, and this may sound bad, but i think they should put Storm of Bullets into base kit, even at a weaker state. Lian's Shield is mid since you are an off tank, you shouldn't have to worry about shielding your team as well as the fact you have Battle Shout. Meanwhile Vortex Grip gets countered by the cheapest item in the game and unlike Accelerant, it doesn't do any extra damage or anything special except for the stun. 10 times outta 10 you're just gonna wind up pickin SoB anyway, same with old Adrenaline Junkie.

They gutted omen. These changes on him are BAD. If the dev’s are gonna take away the only real thing that allowed him to compete as a damage champion then they should compensate him elsewhere. They didn’t rework any of his talents which are mediocre at best. Less damage = less ult charge and they took his ult charge card away so that’s going to be drastically slower too. His damage consistency is still poor. Meaning you either have to run around in shotgun mode which you have to tap shoot and is also unviable because most characters out range your effective damage. And limits you to 1 talent. And on top of it all HE STILL HAS THE ULT BUG, where you get stuck in ult cast and shoot infinitely but do no damage only able to dash and puddle leaving you with no option but to jump off the map and reset your character. And they unnecessarily took the grip damage card away as if it was ever problematic. The grip is already lack luster. And they replaced it with a gimmick card smh. Not a fan of these omen changes.

Shotgun playstyle umbral lance will gut him more. At least increase his base move speed since he would have to get close. AND that change would still only leave him with 1 semi good talent. And 700 per shot is pathetic for only being allowed to have 2 shots and being force to get close so that’s your pellets do full damage anyways. Hard disagree.

Well, 700 was really just a placeholder number. The point was, give Omen a dedicated shotgun play style because there are very few shotguns in the game but there are a whole lot of generic rifles. Balance it however you need to, but I think a double barrel shotgun with some serious oomph would be a fun risk/reward play style. Of course, the devs shot him in the foot with his design. A shotgun character with a limited dash and an ability that throws enemies out of the shotgun's effective range. Genius!

I agree with this tbh he's just emo jenos. Tbh if they changed Jenos's primary to something closer to Omen, he'd be played more. I just bully people who pick omen as Drogoz because they deserve it
