This Clear Lake Series is my absolute favorite of all your vids. Thank You for taking the time to produce. I know how much work goes into it. Tourney season is basically over, enjoy a rest and get back at it next year. I have a feeling 2022 is going to be your breakout year.

Bob Todd owned a motel and Ranger dealership on Clear Lake and he's the man you should've gone to. I cannot imagine him turning away a tournament participant who was in need of an emergency repair.

Was wondering what your thoughts were fishing rock down south versus shallow grass up north during this tournament? The winner was punching grass as you know. The days were shorter and the run was longer to get down south. I am thinking your practice dictated where you fished but that lake always confuses me with the shallow or deep bite especially with limited time and a lot of pressure. Great job ! Stay safe in your travels.
@AndrewUpshawFishing4 жыл бұрын
The grass was so vast up north. Seeing I had only two days to fish, the north end wasn’t a viable option for me just because it was more of a “needle in a haystack” deal. The rock on the south end wasn’t as plentiful, making it easier to target.

Andrew, your presentation was excellent,. You provided a very informative breakdown of the success you had on Clearlake during the won bass tourney. Clearlake is my home lake and you have helped me to expand my fishing horizon and be a more successful angler. Keep posting and teaching because this type of video is what more anglers need to reach the next step.

I really enjoyed this Clear Lake 3 part series and I'm glad you are coming back next year! I liked this video. It was interesting as you talked us through what happened behind the scenes etc to you, but fight on, and you did! If I had a Mercury motor and I had that incident happen to me with that Mercury mechanic, I would definitely email corporate and let them know! They need to know because this guy represents Mercury customer service - and not in a good way! I'm already tainted and I don't own a boat yet. Anyways, good video, we the viewers appreciate the time u take to make us these videos. Thanks for putting the links in to the baits and gear. That is super helpful! And yes I like to hear what gear you use as well. If some ppl dont like it, they dont need to buy it or use it. Its their choice.
@AndrewUpshawFishing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton Mike. Just want to say, Mercury in general is great to work with. I found out later that the particular place I went to is known around the area as “a last resort”, just because of their terrible attitude. Glad you like the links to gear. Thanks for continually following along!

Good stuff Andrew. Love when you break down the gear. I was thinking the other night it’s disappointing on how everything worked out this season and you guys all went to bass. I live in Wisconsin and flw had the la crosse tourney and having the cup on sturgeon bay. Both within 3 hours of my house. Sucks knowing I coulda have had 2 chances to see you and your crew and who you hang with. Maybe B.A.S.S. Will make it up here one day. Not disappointed in your decision have to do what’s best for You disappointed in losing potential opportunities to meet some of my favorite anglers

Can you tell me what the mechanic told you to do to limp through that issue, I have a mercury 4 stroke and just waiting on the day it happens to me
@AndrewUpshawFishing4 жыл бұрын
My issue was the shift axilator (I think that’s what it’s called). Basically, all there is to do is trim your motor out of the water completely and let the inside of this little tube in the lower unit dry. Once dried you can start and run the motor. As soon as you come off pad, the little tube will fill up with water and throw the motor into guardian. At the end of day three I had to load with the trolling motor. Only use this little trick to get in, it’s far from a fix.
