That bluegill was a shellcracker and they get big... kind of a rare catch they set up different then most your bluegill but man they can actually be really fun to catch.. looked like a good time other then the struggle bus but hey it happens

Please please please tighten your spinning reels drag. A bluegill was pulling drag from your reel. That is ridiculous. Even if you had 4lb test that's crazy. At 4lbs I'd say a 2 pound bass should be where drag starts getting pulled, if you have 8lb then at least a 3 to 4 pounder. It hurts when you lose a fish and it's probably that drag
