I have been running Android 13 DP2 for the last 5 hours and here is what I can tell you. It's pretty stable when it comes to performance. The UI hardly studders, but you will notice it occasionally. Bluetooth connection isn't stable. I have been having issues with my Pixel Buds A Series and also my 2022 Jeep Compass Uconnect. They finally gave the Battery Share a tile to use in the notification shade (it may have been there prior, but I didn't notice it?). Volume has also taken a hit to the lower side, but I am sure it'll be better during beta stages. Lastly, I used the Android Flash Tool to load this developer preview to my Pixel 6, with a Factory Reset in the process. Hope this helps anyone.

omg finally app by app language selection! I’ve always thought that it must be a monolingual peeps' thing, to just assume that we always want to use our native / system language for their apps, with no in-app option to change language. Whereas we multilinguals often prefer particular languages for particular apps for so many reasons (a major one being that translations are often either bad or incomplete)

The new media player with the album art looks great. The two things I would really like to see for the UI are a blur on the notifications (or at least all the same color instead of that horrible black and white combo) and recent apps and actual black for dark mode instead of grey.

Accessibility settings not opening in this update

I don't mind much that the settings icon is there, but it's not easier to reach. It's fine cause you can swipe to drop down the shade, just once more at the same portion and your finger is next to it. But, our fingers reach the middle with more ease than the bottom of the screen, especially the right portion for most people. IMO, at least these icons should be bigger. It's the same for the new detailed options for the bubbles that shows up from the middle of the screen. Tapping them on the top so you can manage from the bottom isn't as intuitive as the current iteration, but a lot of people bought into this trend of bottom options even when they don't make sense and it isn't as nice as it could be.

Been running dp2 for some time now. Finally a update to bring pixel 6 lineup up to mark. The performance is significantly better, especially while scrolling through media. Things load up so much quicker now. And finally the fingerprint scanner is so much more accurate, mind it the speed of still meh but accuracy is so much better. Excited to see how Android 13 develope further.

The new media player in the notification toggles is not a very practical design. If you're using your phone left-handed, you'd have to reach all the way across just to Play/Pause

Seeing as it isn't even released for Beta testing yet, I'd say it is very unstable. I don't think I'd even recommend joining the Beta Program at all when using a daily driver that you depend on. It is rare, but it can brick your phone.

@@macmomazz Yes, There are many things that can go wrong in a beta program. I'd say the only way you can fix your problem is by doing a factory reset which will reinstall the operating system that the device came with.

The Pixel 6 Pro is only $899 which is expensive, but it is at least cheaper than a thousand dollar phone. Pixels have a history of being the best of update releases when it comes to Android.. That is until the Pixel 6 Series. While it is a decent phone in general, it has been out for five months and has only received one update on time. Pixels are supposed to receive an update every month on the first Monday and a "Pixel Feature Drop" which comes out every three months. Unfortunately, almost every scheduled update for the P6P has been delayed, which can be frustrating when you are expecting it on a certain date. So, Is the P6P worth the price? Yes, I absolutely love everything about the device with the exception of the delayed updates.

As someone who carries both, Google basically copies what Samsung has implemented already. My unlocked S10+ finally got Android 12 and besides the subtle visual changes, pretty much nothing has changed. Meanwhile, android 12 on my Pixel 4XL is buggy, especially with split screen, which Samsung has perfected

Android 13 is now a thing, however I'm still on Android 11. My phone hasn't even been updated to Android 12 yet, and I'm unable to flash a custom rom because there isn't one for my device (a Techno Pouvoir 4).

Why don't they give us back Screen on Time since last full charge, option for smaller round short cuts in the notification area, some better functionality for accessing recently heard music, better colour picking from wallpapers not just constant pastel blue, pink, green and orange options, a separate sound for when your listening to Bluetooth devices and tap tap to turn the torch on and off without unlocking your phone.

Finally they're adding album artwork to the media player, now add it to the watch! Also in my opinion the biggest mistake they've made in this new UI is setting everything to one color. I hate everything being the same color it's very unnatural. Apps should set their own color. So I'm glad that the color at least changes on the media player

I see they are still using the oversized, limited information pill buttons in the quick settings. I am sure I will still have to click multiple layers deep to do things like toggle WiFi, or flip multiple times to the left to get to my other quick settings. God I miss Android 11 simple circle quick settings that were more efficient and useful than Android 12/13.

Hey don't know how to say but they should introduce a feature for stoping easy pull down notifications while playing games, it's so easy to get interrupted by the easy tap or pull down notifications... I tried to explain but play a game like PUBG or any other games and I believe you'll see my frustrations..

Google should do something with the 'Gesture Navigation' in Android 13. Either they make it completely transparent with the apps (which it should be) or they can totally remove this half baked gesture navigation system and force people to use the old school 3 button navigation! 🙄
