So I got the 15 Pro Max, hadn't had a personal iPhone since the 11, so coming from the S23 Ultra I didn't feel like I was missing much. Haven't rooted or modded since Android 10 so stock experience vs stock experience isn't as dissimilar as it once was in my use case.

I have both Android and iOS, main phone is iPhone. My iPhone 13 Pro Max can no longer plug in to charge and I was so fed up with it so I upgraded to the 15 pro max. I’m little hesitant because of the current issues going on, but I’m glad there’s gonna be usb type c now so I don’t have to care about iPhone chargers now. I also got me a pixel 8 pro which I’m excited for. Hopefully I’ll have a better time now. What happened to your 14??

New to the android community for almost a year. i can't go back i changed everthing watch, phone & tablet. And since apple made that announcement allowing rcs, im 100 percent sold stay on this side.

Yeah, I would if my workflow permitted it/ or at least it was a little easier. I had no luck at all getting videos off of the Pixel, and OnePlus Open on Mac, I had to use Google Photos, and the Android File Transfer app didn’t recognize them.

@ValisMind I don't use Mac. I use PC, so there are no issues with file transfer etc. I guess that's y I never moved over completely when I had an iPhone I should be able to buy whatever device or tech I choose and it just works with android I now have that and I'm good 👍.

I’ve switched between the Galaxy Note series (rest in peace) and iPhones several times now, and every time I come back to iPhone I swear I’m not switching again. Then Apple does something stupid that makes me angry and I use a Galaxy again for a couple years before switching back. At this point, I have too many other devices in the Apple ecosystem that’s way too satisfying using in unison

What you stated with your frustrations with IOS frustrate me. But your prior videos inspired me to give Android another try. So I took advantage of the Black Friday deals so, I guess I am meaking the move back to Android. The implementation of AI in the Pixel is what got me or at least made me curious. @@techfan8457 S23 Ultra if you plan on playing games, or doing anything that requires a lot of CPU/ GPU performance. Pixel if you're more-so a regualar user. The UI experience, and cameras are FANTASTIC. I love the 8 Pro SO MUCH - I would not reccomend a Fold to somoene that's never used one, they come with too many caviats.

I have been using a P30 Pro for 4.5 years now. Started a marketing company and sometimes have to record content for clients. Normally use a Dslr ocassionaly my phone. One time they complained about how blurry it was I had never noticed up until that point. I have been feverishly against IOS (since blackberry bold me and apple have been sworn enemies). But ultimately for my company I've just ordered an iPhone 15 pro max. Feel like a betrayer tbh.

It's the truth man. I've been team android since day one. I hated Apple. But unfortunately most people use iPhones so when sending messages and videos it can be blurry unless done third party. This is kinda why I wanted an iPhone. Plus the camera and video capability. It's better for social media as well.

One big up that Apple has over android is resale value! I recently tried the fold with the galaxy buds and watch. I had two issues with it in the past 4 months I’ve had it. Tried to sell it all and could hardly get anything for them. I went back to Apple. When I upgrade Apple products and sell the old it’s easier to sell and can get more money out of it. Literally the galaxy watch 6 classic 47mm only had 2 months could not get anyone to pay more than $150 for it in perfect condition when it was right at $450. Galaxy buds pro 2 only got $80 out of it, and don’t get me started on that fold phone. Will never do android again tried 4 months tons of issues waste of over $2600 on the whole setup!

Hey Val, FIrst of all your videos are awesome man, keep it up. I love android and more specifically google but it's hard not to consider going apple. People in other parts of the world don't get to understand that living here in NA it's pretty much the standard and it's just more convenient in almost every way. Personally Would want to use the options that ppl in EU or Asia have in terms of android phones but it is what it is. In the end of the day a phone is a tool and go with whatever works best for you.

You say nobody's going to download 3d party app, like whatsapp because they are going to use what they have on their phone, however they still are going to downloads other apps like Instagram, Lightroom etc. If that is true, it makes you wonder, how come they have time to download those apps but not whatsapp (for example), and if is about the convenience of imessage/facetime or something else. Both handle daily tasks equally imo but content creators need an iPhone to function effectively I feel like. But for non content creators, either phone will work for you.

I switched back to the iPhone (15 Plus) because of the ecosystem. No, I wasn't trapped into the ecosystem. Since I'm starting a podcast, having everything flow seemlessly makes running my business easy. I love Android phones (23 and 24 Ultra, and Fold 4), but having to pick up one phone to answer texts is too much. Being able to do everything (almost everything) on my iPhone, and then move to my MacBook Pro or iMac, makes things so much easier. I know I can use Samsung products, but Apple, for me, has been much easier to user.

In regards to cheap macs. The m1 macbook air is amazing for 750 right now on Amazon with 8gb. If she needs a ton of storage or does anything intense like complex video editing, then might as well go newer and with more ram. However if she does no more than what a student in college might, then the m1 macbook air is absolutely an amazing value. M2 is starting to come down in price so weigh the benefits.

I'm android user too and now I had made out my mind to try the future iphone 16 pro for the first time with telco plan. The telco in my country offer better plan for iphone than android probably because of their confident with the reliability and support of the apple with their contract for the consumer. My definite answer for iphone vs android is simple. Just go for both. There's no android beating iphone videography. Not only social media intergrate better in iphone but games too. Many games play and runs better in iphone. Also Iphone design just look so good there is no android beating that and android just copied a lot from iphone. Android is so easy and have many advantages over iphone like sideloading an app. Some people just need some app for work and that is critical. For Android get the best value android depending on your budget. I would personally go for Xiaomi 13T.

Thanks, believe me, if I could get away with this using an Android device, I would. My workflow matters the most to me, and there are workarounds, and Android does do things like quick share and what not, but not as simple with Mac.

The one thing about Apple currently is the ecosystem integration. They’ve nailed the experience and functionality. Combine that with high performance apps like Final Cut and you have a video production monster. There’s no shame in using what makes what you do better.

I use to be a big Android person too but that's bcuz that was all i ever used. Once I came to Apple/Iphone about 5 yrs ago there was no looking back. I use to be the person saying stuff "i can change my icon packs, i can change the way my phone looks and blah blah blah" but once u switch over u realize that's really not that important ( like a back button lmao) and most ppl u say stuff like that to who have an iPhone really don’t care about that lmao bcuz of their convenience of their Apple products. Now I'm all in the ecosystem and it's just something way bigger than changing the look of the phone and other stuff. (android is just "the phone") Iphone/Apple is about a whole experience and convenience between other products that u use on a day to day basis and there's no competition. Got nothing against ppl who prefer Android but I realized that most of those ppl just never actually used an iPhone or the even the ecosystem so they don't really get it. And def can't forget imessage and FT.....love it!!!

Everyone keeps talking about the Apple ecosystem like they are powerless to work around it. It's ridiculous. I have a pixel phone that Bluetooth perfectly with my iPad and iMac and the pixel watch to go with the phone. lol, why would I want to work around it, when it works better for me? I can’t airdrop from a Pixel. The easiest way to share footage between my Pixel 8 pro and my Mac is to upload to Google Photos, and download it. Things like this waste time and aren’t nearly as convenient.

I'm a UX designer with an s22 ultra. I design in a mac. All the developmental and design tools revolve around iOS for mobile whether Android fanboys like it or not. Thats just the hard truth. The work around sucks having to always use cloud drive instead of airdrop. Samsung and android as a standalone alone phone without an ecosystem is an ecosystem in it self.

This is what I realized 2 years ago. Me and my wife bought new phones at the same time that was 2019. Then 2021 comes my note 10 plus is laggy and buggy to make it short not realiable anymore. Compared to my wife's iphone 11 pro max which to this date still rocking the latest IOS and no issue whatsoever. Battery still not yet replaced. That's when I tried iphone 13 pro max. Then it kicks in. Every year Iphone have minimal upgrades to their hardware and software that you really dont need to buy the latest and greatest. This is not the same case with Androids. They'll throw everything even half baked features to make you buy a new one every year. Atleast That's who I am before transitioning to IOS. And aside from that. The ecosystem. I always have an Ipad even when using an Android phone. Then to my surprise. You can recieve calls and msgs to an Ipad like an extension of your phone. I know android already have this features but who buys android tablets?

I've had the S22 ultra for 2 years and after experiencing the pinnacle of Android (i owned a pixel and an S20 as well) I found it to be very lacking. Android phones look better on paper but get shat on by iphone when it comes to actual user experience. Bye bye and good riddance, can't wait for my 15 pro
