Here are three different approaches to playing R&B Rhythm Guitar on a track. All three have their own flavor and work well in a track. The free Tabs show my typical approach: play, sustained chords in a neo-soul style, a muted Bubble part, and some R&B strumming. If you like players such as Jubu, Isaiah Sharkey, and Paul Jackson Jr, this video will appeal to you.

2nd approach is a must, IMO. And left 1st and 3rd, you decided when you use.

Andy… again… thank you for this lesson. Just awesome! Question: your neck pickup is quite low. Is that the secret sauce?

Oh man - I never noticed that. It is quite low. I think I just set it to where the three are balanced.

Always impressed with your effortless style. Way beyond my ability now at 75. Fingers and brain just do not want to cooperate. But I still possess some very nice guitars. What model Strat are you playing? And the weight. My Ash American Deluxe is getting neglected due to it’s weight. Parted with my LP non relief Traditional(11 pounds) in favour of a Godin Summit Classic Supreme Ltd at 8 pounds. Would love to find a lighter Strat one day. Cheers.

Hi there - my Strat is a 1997 USA Strat. It's about an average weight, I'd say. Thanks

@AndyDacoulis
@AndyDacoulis Жыл бұрын
I usually do a 1/4 note on one side and then a dotted 1/8 note on the other side. If not, just go with 500ms and it should work ok.
