I've seen roughly 100 or so shows in my life. These guys aren't my favorite band (but I do like them). But holy hell... if you've got the opportunity to see these guys live, do not miss it. Ranks in the top 3 shows I've ever seen...quite possibly number one.

I saw them at a music festival in the UK when Madonna came out. Life-changingly good.

Completely agree. As a band to listen to, they are GREAT. But god blessed you if you’ve seen them live. They might be the most intense performers on earth. They have the energy of a slipknot show while playing essentially indie rock. One of the three times I’ve seen them, they just completely destroyed the stage. Like nothing was left unbroken, in place or in good shape. It was total destruction and chaos, they got the crowd to rush the stage and dance during the encore, who all eventually joined in the destruction of the stage, amplifiers, lights, guitars, drum sets….all while feedback was shrieking and security was attempting to handle it. The other two shows didn’t have that much destruction involved, but the energy was about the same…….Trail of Dead is the epitome of a band you HAVE to see live, otherwise you just won’t get it. The music is great but the performance is art.

@TioLorenza I used to follow these guys aroun NYC and Philly maybe 8-10 years ago. They were amazing! We'd party with the band after the shows. Great times. Their stage antics always led to destroying the place... the crowd always involved. Just good fun. Then they started to come out with new albums that I really tried to get into but I had to throw in the towel. I don't think they will ever be what they were. But they did give me some amazing memories that can't be taken away....

Never heard of them, or any their music, but I was bored and once I read the name, why not? Those post 9/11 deployments were btutal, 150+ days underway without a port, but we got mail at least. For years, I thought they were death metal. Their name of their band was definitely a factor and their album covers looked like the type of music that was dark and negative, like Deicide or something as sh*t but when I got Conrad Keely's solo album it didn't make sense how good it was to what I pictured his band being, so, I went back and gave them a listen for the first time - so glad I did. People may think, why didn't you just listen to them? Well, I literally am into thousands of artists and just forgot about them. Only ever was exposed to their name and covers which I pre-judged, not their awesome music.
