The teen angst is leaking really, really hard in this comment thread. Even for a George Carlin video, where the comments are, already, filled with teen angst. And I get to have a hand in it, and even fan the flames.

He has been around for it. Live long enough. People 2,000 years ago would have complained about their kids reading and writing too much and being anti social. In the 50's it was kids and too much t.v. , in the 70's teens were hogging the corded phone for hours. As soon as car phones and game boys came out, the elders today ( sorry 40 not elder. ) lined up and complain about kids raising ; while slathering on merchromium and smoking, drinking, giving the kid a beer, etc... it's always the same. It never stops.

A great process is to approach the tapestry like you're writting an album's worth of song lyrics. Write it, read aloud while recording, listen to the recording until you can "sing" along then listen to it some more. There will come a point where you couldn't forget it if you tried. The real challenge is good writing.
