I’ve just started Conan Exiles about 2 weeks ago. I began the slow and timid progression from hiding atop a rock outcrop through the night and sneaking to the river during daylight to ninja-creeping across rooftops of Sepermaru getting steel weapons and tools from the chests, and getting murdered in the streets. Then I discovered your beginner guide series. Your videos have helped me tremendously. The noob river T4 named fighters allows me to run through villages. I collected a few river land named fighters and began the grind of leveling them. Now I see how incredibly inferior they are to the potential friends shown in this episode! I especially enjoy the running commentary in the guide series that reveals so many nuances for the beginner such as me. I didn’t grasp why I sometimes got vines but other times not. “Droopy banana” trees I now spot seemingly leagues away. Looted from a random exile, my simple green tent for waiting out sandstorms (if I can find a flat buildable spot under duress) will today be replaced with the face mask. (I’m thankful that I will no longer need to dash in and out of Black Garden nabbing only 2 or 3 flowers at a time.) An armorer is busy at his tanners table (thanks for that nugget). Purple orbs are “the bomb”! I’ve begun dismantling my string of “safe houses” that I had put up along the river and around the bend to Sepermaru (your earlier episodes on pets and mounts were much appreciated). Yesterday I felt like a right of passage had been achieved when my level 60 with 2 thralls downed the Giant Croc while placing BLEED, SUNDER, and CRIPPLE on him at the same time. Thank you so much for providing these easy to follow informative beginner guides!

just wanted to give a tip to whoevers trying to get high level thralls early use a normal truncheon with more concussive damage mod from tinkerers bench and try to level your authority before getting a thrall so you deal extra concussive damage and have at least one extra truncheon incase the other one breakers and if your going for lian specifically try to aggro him by climbing up to the side of the hill and baiting his jump attack and make him fall down from there keep on hitting him so he doesnt get teleportef to the top again hop that helps lads

The purple orbs are a game changer for me. I spent a few hours doing the kill the fighters near the thralls I want by pulling them away and killing them and spent time with a cimmerian to “be-friend” them to sleep. For crafting thralls those orbs are going to be great. I too have been pretty lucky with Seth’s Truncheon, so no bad comments from me.

Great video mate. My new favorite pastime is to solo New Asagarth from the roof tops. Run through the "town centre" naked to agro as many as possible head for the roof tops next to the altar at the back get armour back on and let go with orbs. SOOOOO MUCH FUN

I got my treasure hunter relic dude from Conan wine cellar easily without losing my faithful Enika. Mind you I did keep running back out of the dungeon until only one treasure hunter came through that door. Enika now is the forewoman of my base and rarely comes out on adventures anymore but's she's happy, and alive.

I'm following the main steps of this guide and yesterday I felt like doing some exploring on my own. Wandered into Skittering Cave... That wasn't a very pleasant experience. XD But I pushed deeper and then there was the boss... It killed my first greater shaley and almost killed me, but managed to deal the final blow with a sliver of health remaining. That'll teach me for wandering off the path. XD I'll just stick with doing iron runs at the rocknose place for now. I wanna try and visit Seper-something town soon. Great series btw.

In Age of Sorcery you only needed black lotus to make the orbs, I don't mind having to get purple lotus since it's on the way anyhow. If you go to Mek Kemoses place you can knock out the guards with the orbs, I've never tried to put the ones with spears on my wheel of friendship but the not spear wielding ones have Lemurian swords.

On console at least when I started out I wouldn't put any points into authority. When I got enough to fill it now I reset them and now all 20 in authority is full now with the base level truncheon I knock out all named thralls with 1 hit. No joke. So I imagine I can get any thrall I want if I had Szeths Truncheon on top of that. But that's what I did and now I'm boosting all my other stats back up. But now at level 24 I have all in authority and 2 thralls following me now. Makes it much safer

Thank you so much for these series, I'm returning from right at a couple years away from CE and so glad I happened up on your guide, I've been following it from the start and doing a play along as we go, I've caught back up on things I had forgotten and learning things I never knew, I decided to drop a comment on this episode as when you were harvesting the lotus I noticed you were picking up seeds from the purple but never saw any seeds from the black, I don't have a clear memory but seems as though you can create seeds from the flowers in the press? As mentioned memory is very foggy. I've made up another batch of popcorn as I continue watching the series. 🙃

You are close, 3 flowers in the Dryer will give you a seed, and each seed you grow gives you 5 flowers, so you will slowly increase your amount over time.

The problem is, if no named thralls are spawned, merely knocking them out isn't going to reset the spawner.

Hello you have Rhinos closer from where you are. L4 I guess (I don't see the letters on your map). It's in the savane area just before the jungle, bottom of the map. The plateau is a bit up and make a tour from the low side to the top, then you can let you glide down on the cliff to get at your starting point. The better way is to go along the river bellow the sand temple and you start on the left... You will find reptile looking like rhinos and further you will fin felins and rhinos with baby. There are 3 big ones and a couple of youngs. The area is in ocre color between two sand area lighter colors. You also have an entry, exit from this area at the very end of the sand area on the left of the sand temple. This one goes in the midle of the savane area

Great video Angaar! RIP Enika! Just as a FYI, Enika of Cimmeria comes with 2.079 damage modifier and RHTS come with 1.676 damage modifier. The problem is the HP of the noob river thralls. BUT if you have patience and manage to keep some alive to get to lvl 20 and make some Elixirs of rebirth, then you may probably get at least one Exile named fighter to 2.5k - 3k HP and with the damage modifier (which is almost as a berserker) you can do some work 😁 If you didn't see my Arena Champion vs Thugra and Cannibal Brutes, I highly recommend a named darfari fighter!

I'm now a T3 or T4 Bearer Fan. Almost Starts with 750HP and ends with over 7kHP with bad stats!! Also for my nomadic style that inventory/walking armor carrier is too good! And i no longer go authority builds too!!

You see, if you would just stay more than 5 minutes in the jungle you could enjoy it's glory when the sun comes out. :D By the way Black Lotus potions are great as Strength potions. Since you have Set potiions it is great. You make black lotus potion and take it then take the set potion to remove the alcohol poisoning. It is however far cheaper to create than strength potions.

Is "Lovetap" better than Szeth's Truncheon? I've been using that to knock out potential thralls and it works like a charm.

Szeth's Truncheon is slightly better with 45 light damage and 50 heavy. Lovetap has 30 light and 45 heavy. But both very good!

I got a named fighter by equiping myself and my follower with an improved metal truncheon (the one upper the basic one) using the piece you can make in the DIY workshop and both with shield.. As long as there are no other big fighters around it's very possible. and he had a big ax. My thrall was level 10 or 7, like a bit less than 1000 life and 24 in strong. And I have 3 levels in companions

@@AngaarUK He is dead since, stupidly and I didn't took him back yet. I don't remember his name exactly, I have a problem with names. It starts with a "T" I think. Maybe Tar something South est, just before the Jungle. There are two camps in front of an island. One is "Vigie camp" I don't know if it has this name in english, he is in the other, they practically touch each other. It's quite easy to lure him outside, after killing the first two, using the entry "hienas side". He is always sited at the fire.

They used to be weak as shit, as Angaar mentioned 4 to 5 to KO a T4, what i used them for in Sep was to ko all the trash and then use Truncheons to finish off the T4. But will be honest, when go thrall hunting I have 2 Accursed (on Siptah) and just get them to KO the entire camp with their Szeths Truncheons which you can farm at The Nook with a Gravedigger

The TRICK to keeping them in the cloud, is YOU have to stay in the cloud. When YOU leave the cloud, THEY leave the cloud. I've seen about thirty streamers do what you did. Run five meters outside of the cloud, thinking the thralls will stand ten meters back in the cloud. All attacks happen one or two meters appart. Spears are two to three meters. But players feel they can melee at five plus for some reason.

What is also weird is that after id kill Szeth. I would pull the other 2 guys in the next room all the time they were either both fighters or both archers I EXTREMELY RARELY came across them being 1 fighter and archer. They never happens. And as far as the Truncheon goes I got that stupid thing 7 times in a row once now I had to run it 3 times before I got one. Super buggy drop rate lol

37:25 You can go right and through the archway instead of the long way around, just keep your distance from the thugs and they won't agro. I'm thinking you had a bad time in that area and always avoid that path just out of habit. At the end of the last foot bridge there is a guaranteed alchemist spawn that is sometimes a T4, i noticed in your last stream you did not seem to know about that spawn.

it's so disheartening of what funcom has done to the relic hunter treasure seekers in the AOW, i'll most probably going to phase all of them out from my base defense soon with their health nerf.. among all the fighters thralls i believe they were the one that got nerfed the most in terms of HP in AOW, out of the box their health are just slightly better then those cimmerian fighter 2 at the mounds of the dead..🤦‍♂

So just tested this on a brand new game, I placed the crafter in the world, then used the Move and Guard feature to put him on the green ghost of the bench, then accessed the bench and it completed the journey! 🤘😎🤘

You need to collect the 6 artifacts from the dungeons (in future episodes) combine them into the Keystone which allows you to remove your bracelet and pass beyond the ghost wall to freedom... BUT that ends the game!

There are various 3-skull World Bosses around the map that once you kill them you harvest their body with any tool you will get a skeleton key. I cover this in Episode 17: World Bosses

No mod, just hold shift while dragging and the box will pop up allowing you to type in the exact amount.

The forgotten city of Xel-ha in the jungle? The green ghost fence goes all around the edge of the map, but shouldn't be around the city!

When I tried this it didn't go as planned. I got attacked by the thugs and they started throwing fire around which aggravated the town and then everyone started attacking me. Lost my Level 12 Enicka.

@@AngaarUK I'm on the PS5 and apparently the thrall taker journey has a bug in it that won't let you finish it yeah all of the KZbin video videos I watched play on PC and everything I searched online comes up empty or they fix the glitch. But don't tell you how you do it

Can't finish thrall taker, I'm assigning a armour thrall to the tanner table and his working, it's just not registering? Anyone else having this problem?

Oh something else you may not have noticed, Shields do not drain Stamina anymore when just held up or being used only for Defence, so you can just stand there blocking the RHTS while they fall to sleep 😪😴🛌

What do you do when the horse disappears I went into the dreg I left the horse by my bedroll when I got down went to get horse it was gone it was in a safe place

Did you tell it to "Stand Guard" or did you just tell it to "Stop Following"? If you tell it to just "Stop Following" it will actually run back "Home" after 15 or 20 min, I think it is. "Home" being the last place where you told it to "Stand Guard".

As @Grubnar says if it is on stop follow it will start to "return home" after 15 mins. Which is the last location it was set to Guard. If you check your Follower page and check the same eye icon next to your horse it will mark its location on the map

Super easy way to get Friends, too easy imo, it should be 10 orbs to get a T4 so it is quicker to knock em out the " traditional " way
