When i was young a lot of her points are why I was a Republican supporter. Where I became more realistic was researching how the republican economic policies negatively affected low and middle income families such as the one I grew up in. And with the Democrats, when I was young, the abortion and pro choice topic that had me turned away until i gained a better understanding of the importance of that choice from a woman’s health perspective. So by the time we get to the election of 2000, I stepped away from affiliation and became more aware of policy, campaign promises and the vision of moving this country forward collectively, while also gauging the character of the candidates after living through 8 years of Reagan and 8 years of Clinton. Identify politics hold us back. It is what we inform ourselves with as we prepare for the polls that should ultimately guide our decisions.

I‘d been influenced to automatically support the democrat party, w/o really thinking about the reasons or questioning things. Trump was even, period.
