@julianherrera56664 жыл бұрын

You need to check lyrics, vibrato is just for sentimental, emotion and dramatic tone, he's always singing about sadness, as if he's going to die by it. He is telling an story, about him dying because she isn't there anymore, in another phrase he is telling "her" that everyone tells him about how sad he looks, and he in his mind answer them "don't they know, everytime he reminisce about her, that's the way he could go thru".

A lot of the musical choices that he made that you noticed were there to emphasize mood according to the lyrics of the song. I don't know how to express it, it's like you can 'feel' his voice, the sound itself, is 'crying' and 'lamenting' at the same time he expresses sorrow. That's something that made José José special.

This song was performed live and he won 3rd place, and he sang this song before it was recorded. His father was an opera singer and his mother a pianist, besides the techniques used in his performance, that's half of the magic of this song, the lyrics have the other credit, the words and the way he transmits the sadness of the events make it truly unique and special. The song is often assimilated to the sadness after a break up between two people who were deeply in love, however the composer wrote this song a few days after his mother passed away, so the song has double meaning with reference when you lose a loved one. The composer had a choice between Jose Jose and another female singer to perform this song at the 2nd OTI festival in Viña Del Mar (Chile), luckily Jose Jose got to perform it and this song basically got him started in his long successful career, until it lasted, before he lost his voice due to unknown circumstances, come people say it was due to his abuse of Drugs and Alcohol, some other people say it was due to forcing his vocal cords during his performances. No doubt he is one of Mexico's great singers, sadly he passed away last year. He will be missed but thankfully he left great memories and songs like this one and many more behind so we can enjoy them. I liked your reaction. Try to listen to this song with subtitles.
