At he same time he was very shy, emotional and sensitive, while also very manly and raw, pure virility and confidence. Women were puzzled, intrigued, and melted. Men look in admiration, wishing they could be more like him. He was the bestest with the mostest.

Jane H …. Elvis was voted the Best Entertainer of the 20th century. He’s in five Halls of Fame. He is known to have been the most humanitarian of any singer/actor. He was an incredibly generous man, who bought homes for homeless people, paid medical bills for people who were unable to pay them, supported fifty charities In Tennessee, bought brand new Cadillac cars for friends, employees & often their wives, did a number of Benefit Concerts …. The examples of his generosity are endless. Love your Reactions to this man with the golden voice, who is still greatly loved & admired still, 47 years after his death …. & is the only singer to have had an album go Platinum After his passing.

Elvis himself denied he sang these songs to Priscilla. He said they were just songs. Elvis just felt every song he sang. That was just Elvis. But what a voice. Elvis forever!❤❤❤

This song was written by Red West, one of Elvis' high school buddies and was also in the Memphis Mafia.

Red West wrote Separate Ways sung and filmed at this same session. Mark James, who wrote Suspicious Minds, and two other guys wrote this one.

He had a beautiful way of expressing the emotion in the lyrics of any song. It's as though he experienced the feelings he sings about...very emotional to listen to. I felt the sorrow and regret he was singing about too. Thank you for reacting to Elvis. I hope you react to more of his music.

Elvis recorded this song 1 month after his seperation from Priscilla became final. So he really was feeling the lyrics. He always made you feel them but this one had that extra something.

I believe those are bracelets on both of his wrists, he wore them on tour in 1972 for a short time but they kept cutting his wrists, if you react to the movie "Elvis On Tour" 1972 he wares them in the film and in the limo he gives one to his tour manager and friend Joe Espesito and Joe asked "did you take this off or did it come off?" and Elvis says "I took it off, I tore my wrist up this time", it is. a great documentary film of his nationwide tour of that year and how wild his concerts were, I highly recommend you check it out.

👋 hey Angel , I saw Elvis for the first time on April 8 72 in Knoxville Tennessee and I was only 11yrs old and I know that he was late to the show because he had a long conversation with J D Sumner in the hotel about losing Priscilla, you may hear all kinds of hateful and judgmental remarks about her , but I can say that she was in a cocoon of her own, like Elvis and every woman wanted him and it had to be hard to compete with the entire world for your husband, I truly loved the fact that she was always there for him and sweet Lisa Marie, I don't think that Graceland would be what it is now if she hadn't stepped in, especially for her daughter , so I say to All, don't judge others to the same God that made you, made him too. Thanks again Angel, and I say try to remember what he said. TCB 1935

Over 300 recordings. Elvis sang I'm all. His voice does justice to gospels. The 1970s live shows were great as he would changes the songs at different shows. 1970 Vegas and Hawaii Satilite broadcast , super great. Thanks again. Also check Elvi and the black community along with his generosity are great too. Thank you.

Jane H …. Could you please react to Elvis Presley - Don’t (Rehearsal MGM Studio July 29, 1970) …. His rehearsals are always great, because you get to see him up close & very personal, rather than his stage persona ….. & he is just so gorgeous in this particular rehearsal …. Well, he’s gorgeous in any rehearsal, concert & interview, but this one, where he is rehearsal ‘Don’t’ which was written for him in 19576, when he was 20, & was a Number One Hit for him for several weeks in 1957, when he was the world’s very first Superstar.

@carolhayar303718 күн бұрын
Thanks for this. BACKGROUND INFO: The song was written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James. James wrote the famous “Suspicious Minds” that went nowhere until Elvis did it. Many people think that this song had to do with Priscilla, their divorce, etc. Information reveals that the idea for “Always On My Mind” came from a telephone conversation the late Wayne Carson was having with his wife. She was unhappy with him being gone so much pursuing his music career. He was heard to say, “But honey, you were always on my mind." Beautiful, emotional, no one can do it like The Man. Every song he did that had been done previously by others was always better, more emotional/passion filled & literally did become his. Thanks.

He recorded this song for his wife Priscilla, who had left him for the karate instructor she was having an affair with, taking their 4 year old daughter Lisa Marie with her to another state. Elvis absolutely doted on his little girl, & he never got over his divorce & the absence of his beloved daughter, though he of course had her staying with him when he wasn’t touring or doing his residency at Las Vegas for two months of the year …. Two (sometimes 3) concerts every night, seven days a week without a break, for a month twice a year. Tragically, she was staying with him when he passed in August 1977, & Lisa Marie has now also passed in her early fifties last year. I always enjoy your Elvis reactions.
