I think everyone is missing the significance of the songs he chose. Dixie was a Confederate song. Glory, Glory Hallelujah was a Union song. All My Trials summed it up with children lost their fathers no matter the reason for the war. This was naturally understood by the audiences back in the day.

This concert was broadcast via satellite from Hawaii LIVE TO THE ENTIRE WORLD. One exception was the United States due to a conflict with the Super Bowl, It was seen the next day.. I don't know how many people watched a two night performance. My guess is hundreds of millions maybe close to a billion. I saw Elvis and this song performed in Madison Square Garden NY and I couldn't believe the power of the live performance. Was he the best singer, actor, musician or dancer? No. He was more! He was ELVIS PRESLEY!

I've picked cotton in the blazing sun in the fields with my parents and grandparents for money. I've sang these 3 songs many times in church and in elementary school. They mean a lot to me. There has never been a musical “mood setter” to match Elvis, from his tender vocals with appropriate soft backing instrumentation to the vocals and instrumentation building to a climactic crescendo, he orchestrated every bit of every song, including perfect accompanying background vocals, to produce the song that perfectly matched his vision for what it should sound like. He heard it perfectly before one note was ever played or sung. To hear this crescendo-building in all its glory, please check out The Wonder of You.

Elvis’s music will live forever‼️. My Mama saw him as a teenager and put her pen and paper for him to sign, but he signed her arm instead 😮, I asked if she took a photo of it, but she said that she didn’t think of it 😢. Of all of Elvis’s Grammy’s, they are all for his Gospel Music, not one for his secular music, if you notice that when he sings Gospel there is a special atmosphere that comes over him, it’s so beautiful and special‼️ He is truly missed, but I believe he is truly at peace with the Father‼️

It is NOT! Elvis's music. It is only and will ever be songs Elvis sang. In order for it to be Elvis's music, Elvis must have written it. Since he never wrote a song and could not read nor write music, it will only ever be the songs he sang.

I’m sorry if I gave a wrong impression, by his music, I meant the songs that he sang. I don’t think Elvis ever wrote a song, but if you have a tune in your head, there is always someone who can read and write music. Jeff Lynne, writes most of all his music, but he can’t read music. A artist can always find a way to get his music out.

Brandon, this Elvis Presley "American Trilogy" is absolutely magnificent. I have no idea why this wasn't blocked, but every person viewing this should give thanks if they haven't seen and heard it before. Harri, thank s for reviewing this performance. Your comments were equally outstanding.
