I was devastated when I heard she passed, sobbing, straight to grief. Meanwhile as a Seattle grunge guy I hadn't processed Chris Cornell passing. I think I felt betrayed by him or whatever but I didn't properly grieve him until after Delores was gone and their passing's were almost a year apart. Grief is weird that way.

It's about a young military man she briefly fell in (young) love with as a teenager at a teen club or something. When The Cranberries auditioned for each other (the boys had some instrumentals laid down), Dolores came back later with a strings compilation and lyrics about her first heart break. Such an iconic, beautiful song.

If you like the soothing "whispering" sound of her voice, you should check out "There's No Need To Argue"... very different song, but brilliant & emotional. If you want a showcase of her amazing voice overall though, react to "Dreams" - which is probably The Cranberries' best song.

This reminds me of autumn in the 90s. First loves and heartbreak. R.I.P. Delores O'Riordan. Such a beautiful soul with an angelic and ethereal voice. U will be missed! Much love! J.

If you like this sound, I would suggest Mazzy Star: Fade into you. I would also suggest Sneaker Pimps: Six Underground. Also, this is rock. Back then it was called alternative rock.

Yes Mazzy Star and The Sundays if you’re looking for the best female talent from the 90’s. Of course Bjork is an icon.

If there are any bands that I could recommend that have songs like this and angelic voices would be Sixpence None the Richer and The Sundays. Dolores had a voice that captured the soul like very few truly can. R.I.P

The amount that Brad appreciates Dolores makes me appreciate him even more. Y'all should check out "How" by The Cranberries, it's quite excellent. 👍🤘 Edit : Also "Promises" is a great song, but a bit more Hard Rock.

By the way they're an Irish band. From the first time I heard Dolores' voice I fell in love with it. It really screwed me up when I heard she passed away in 2018. Amazing artist. May she R.I.P.

Everyone one of my friends had a crush on that voice. Dreams is what did it for me, then I had a crush on the rest of her after that music video. RIP Delores 😥

RIP Dolores... One of their most popular songs is Zombie. It's so beautiful but powerful at the same time. Listen to her sing it first, then, listen to Bad Wolves cover version. They do an excellent job plus the nod they give to Dolores in the video is amazing. I get teary eyed every time I watch it💕🤘

Right? If we say rock to a person that doesn't listen to it much, they always think about the heavier side of it.
