Every time I hear Angelina sing, I picture her stepping out of an old black & white movie, to transport us back in time, so we can fall in love with these genuine masterpieces again ❤️ 💚 💙 💜 Great reaction!!! A little backstory, for some of your subscribers who may not know......Angelina's Grandmother loved Blues & Jazz music, & they used to listen to it all the time, & Angelina was hooked, so her younger style tipped the scale closer to Jazz, and as she ages, she has developed many other styles of music, including her own, & now can sing almost anything!!! She also sews most of her outfits, does all her own musical arrangements, & goes barefoot, because she met a young girl when performing one day, who had no shoes & could not afford to buy any, so Angelina gave her the shoes she had on, & in memory of the girl, & poverty, she continues to goes barefoot! What can I say, except this young girl, is an inspiration, an amazing talent, has a huge compassionate heart, & the world is a much nicer place to be, with her in it !!!

Thank you for reacting to Angelina's first audition in Norway's got talent. I remember that when i saw this on norwegian tv, it was life changing for me when it comes to music. I remember watching this video around 2014 when I had no idea who Angelina was or what she could do. I understand the judges' reactions. Back then it was easy to think it was the result of training and coaching. After all, how could a 7 year old possibly do that? Well, we all know now that it is an extraordinary innate talent. Gloomy Sunday is a jazz classic sung by Billie Holiday. She is one of the most famous of Jazz artists out of the late 20s, and was with us into the 1950s. The comparison between Billie Holiday's record and Angelina's presentation is absolutely haunting in similarities.

After Jackie Evancho in 2010, whom besides had two amazing TV performances at age 8 and 9, it was impossible to think someone could come along at Angelina's age and do something as good, if not better. The word "impossible" lost all meaning for me back then in 2014. Jackie Evancho never quite achieved "Super Star"status. I really like her voice,.she was well known in the beginning for opera just like AMIRA is today. Now we also have up and coming opera singer LAURA Bretan on the scene. None of these new singers, no matter how great they are will ever take Angelina's place in people's hearts. There is some kind of unexplainable magic connection Angie has into people's hearts and minds that others lack.

@@leebrn8588 Amira and Laura are NOT in the same league as Jackie, who, now around 20 is branching out, as her recent "Kitty" outing demonstrated. I do not disagree with what you say about Angelina however I consider Andrea Motis (now 24ish) a far better Jazz singer, when it comes to pure Jazz. Andrea is also an incredible trumpet player, in the mould of Chet Baker, as well as a very competent Saxophonist. I was very disturbed at the laxity of Angelina's released Bohemian Rhapsody. However this was also the fate of the EP release of the songs Grace Vanderwaal sang on AGT in 2016. Thus I suspect there is some sort of pressure applied on the artist to NOT better the original AGT performances. I do hope this is the case, because the released Bohemian Rhapsody was a mess, and certainly not worth purchasing. Regarding Jackie, a year or two back she did a version of Lucio Dalla's " Caruso" , which was breathtakingly superb, demonstrating she was still well able to produce the Beautiful tone that held so many of us in awe when she was younger. I suspect the business of her Brother Jake's gender change had a deeply upsetting influence on her (it was a nasty act on his part by any standard, and clearly an effort to upstage his sister). Hopefully time will heal her hurt, but we may expect her to be a little wild for a while. Fame is a double edged sort, particularly for such young folk, so let us hope Angelina's Family manage to keep her grounded, as they have done so well up until now. There are several young female artists we have not mentioned i.e. Angelica Hale, Courtney Hadwin; Marlissa Punsalen, Carly Rose Sonenclar; Billie Eilish; Pau, Ale & Dany of The Warning, Jasmine Thompson, Lucy Thomas and others besides who cannot be left out of the mix, they are all great, and very hardworking, and simultaneously going through those difficult life stages that we all encounter as we mature. In Angelina's case she needs to be careful about what she releases for sale, because the BH release does not auger well in such a competitive world, especially as there are sure to be other youngsters appear who will have watched and learnt, and will not commit errors such as that discussed.

This performance is something that binds all the fans of Angelina, in particular her first interpretations, in which she wonderfully connects her voice and her talent to that aspect of her little sounding bird. To think that at 6/7 she was perfectly able to read, analyze and connect in a foreign language, without any doubt or fear, with the audience and the judges of the talent seems impossible. Angelina did sing at 18 months microphone and all. She was introduced to Jazz by her Grandmother as an infant. At two she is scrolling through KZbin looking for Jazz. At three she tells her Mother she wants to sing for Simon Cowell. At four going on five you see her in a vintage record shop going through records carrying Frank Sinatra and playing the piano. At five she is leading interviewer through her home showing her toys and clothes she stops and picks up plastic toy guitar and says guitar not good and starts singing Rolling In The Deep. At six you find her in sound booth singing “I Who Have Nothing “. At seven she stepped on the stage and auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent with Billie Holidays “Gloomy Sunday “ within a week there were eight million views. Norway has a population of five million. The judge asked if she knew what the song was about, she only knew it was a sad Sunday, I think the judge was happy that is all she understood about the song, it is a very sad song about a loved one die and you want to follow them to the grave. She loved Billie Holiday's voice and sang two of her songs in this competition.

Gloomy Sunday is a jazz song written by a Hungarian artist in 1933 as tribute to all cherished people. It became famous because it was forbidden in all Budapest clubs supposing to push customers to suicide, what composer did in '68; it became a standard during US big depression in '33; Billie Holiday's version was also forbidden @BBC in '41

Great reaction guys! She was singing like Billie Holiday and she is a legend! If you guys get the chance, you should listen to the original. I did that and I realized that Billie Holiday was a major influence in her style of singing. She is going to be such a major force in music one day and I can't wait! Kind of "lack of history knowledge" -not to know this song. The Hungarian sicide song - that Billie Holliday made into a world wide treasure of melancholy. I believe this 7 year old does give it respect

I would recommend learning about the history and meaning behind this song. It has a storied past to say the least. The last judge asking her if she new what the song was about - you fool she's seven.

I love that little lady. I have a special page for her on my website and has that interview where she sings a short verse at 18 months old. Also the winning performance and her winning the competition with other videos and the history of why she sings barefoot, if you don't know the history of that yet. Wanted to gather and post videos of her life and growth in the industry. In the interview the mother mentions that they want her to grow up as a normal young lady and her grandmother is the one who played and got her interested in jazz / blues. Angelina doesn't get all weird with any distraction. There is a super funny video of Angelina rehearsing a difficult song: "La Boheme" with her little sister Juliette on the same sofa, who is trying to hide and Angelina is pushing her so she can be on camera too, all while singing and never missing a bit.
