Apart from the obvious fact that there is very little correlation between quality and popularity, there are several markers which predict how a song will perform. For instance ,I believe that traction on social media by promotional snippets to some extent is indicative of how a song will perform on streaming platforms after official release .I think that many artists do not optimise use of social media . This may seem like a hard ask as most ambitious artists invest a lot of time in posting on Tik Tok etc but there are some relatively simple things that can be done such as sharing across platforms,using notifications effectively , and identifying potential popular official releases by monitoring social media performance .

I love this song for so many reasons. One of which is that I've been on the receiving end of the "Bad Valentine". I don't think it really hit me until I heard this song. "You even smile when you're hurt, sugar coated my words...." I loved this girl because she was a wild soul. Looking back, I think she wanted someone to match her fire.
