Reactors are at a disadvantage when they first meet Angelina. The question always is "How?" What they don't know is that behind the incredible voice, pitch, timing, tembre, and control is a young girl dedecated to her vision and goal. She produced over 100 YT "home" videos of many different genre, some with kareoke tracks and many with her guitar accompanists, when 11 and 12. I call this her age of experimentation. Exactly, just when you think she can't get any better she blows the top off your expectations. She's not belting out, just simple artistic vocal control, beauty, and perfection. Unbelievable. Her early mentors of Billie Holiday, Etta, Ella, Louis, Frank, Elvis, and others formed her passion for focusing on the heart of the song. No one delivers and elicits emotion better than AJ. Very often her best song ever is the last one we hear. There are so many surprises in her top 75. Her guitar player, Ivan Mendez stated in an interview he really found it difficult to focus on playing for her because she is so good he had trouble believing it, it was so effortless to her. Dear, you are listening to the up and coming Queen of Jazz. A Reactor said it this way. Imagine, to step in a Jazz Club in the 50s or 60s and you hear Bohemian Rhapsodie sang by a Jazz singer. I love your reactions, regarding Angelina being an old soul you just have to see the first performance in "Norway got talent", if you look closely, in her white dress, barefoot and with long tangled hair she is literally someone who comes from the tomb itself, I think that Angelina's bare feet is the message that it comes from there, and that death is not the end of everything.

OK I'm not one too say I Told You So but....LOL You're welcome. Just an FYI Brian May from Queen, tweeted immediately after seeing the performance saying "this was hands down the most original and breathtaking version of the song he had ever heard and the band gave Angelina herself a special dispensation to the rights of her version of Bohemian Rhapsody for distribution and personal compensation. Angelina in my opinion is such a brilliant story teller in how she arranges her songs. I personally felt every one of her runs were minimalist by today's standards and very tasteful in its placement leaving the audience with this heavy malaise causing a soulful sadness feeling placing me almost on the verge of tears. If I could give them a name it would be "weeping runs" sad and beautiful at the same time. Thank You so much for this reaction and can't wait for the next. Cheers Luv!

What's so amazing about this performance by Angelina is that reactors like yourself go into it understanding everyone is telling you it's unbelievable and that fact is supported by the multi millions of views the video has received. Yet, once it starts you become totally overwhelmed by what you're listening to. Dear Lady, we've all been overwhelmed by Angelina's rendition.. A piano, acoustic guitar, is all she needed.. starting acapella was a statement.. She's fearless, and her mind knows EXACTLY what she wants to do..boldly and confidently, she blew everybody's mind... AJ's grandmother, Mery Zamani, is a famous artist and she did the artwork for this outfit. Mery Zamani was a child prodigy and has been a major force in AJ's upbringing. There is no way you can experience Angelina Jordan without becoming very emotional. She makes you feel songs you haven't connected to before i promise. She is the beacon of hope and light we really need in the dark times that is. You can tell at 13 how bad she wanted this career to begin. She never could have won, because she never could have signed with them. But clearly she wanted it bad. She channelled so much beauty and perfection, a force of a performance. You can tell that while she is on board with the idea she should live as normal a childhood as she can, that she still knows deep down at this point that she is at home on a stage singing. A very large part of her must wish through all the painful stories of child stars, that she could be trusted to navigate it. This whole time she's undoubtably been wrestling with her game plan. This was her terrifying welcome to America moment, starting with a Capella. What a pillar of grace and strength. She gives the world her absolute best performing, maybe the sweetest thing about a very sweet kid.

Your reaction to this brilliant cover is why I say, listening to Angelina is a life altering and changing experience. Angelina stands alone amongst the throng of talented aspiring young female vocalists. She has created her own genre, the “Angel Genre”. She is so unique that she travels in her own lane. IMO, the only reason why Angelina’s name isn’t world renowned by now is because Angelina’s parents would not allow the other major recording labels to get their greedy and exploitative paws on her. I applaud Republic Records for adhering to Angelina’s families wishes. They are bringing Angelina’s career along at the right pace. She stands there barefoot of course (did anyone cue you in on that part already?) in the suit she made herself using a print with her grandmothers art and as soon as she starts singing the whole audience and jury go dead silent. She captivates and mesmerizes them and doesn't let her hold on them go until the very end. So yes this is a very special performance. You will see as you look at more of her work, that that is common theme. She is all about storytelling and conveying emotions so that you listen to the story and that you feel the story. This performance was so well received that even the surviving members of Queen posted on their Twitter account after watching her audition, "Wow, what a rendition!"
