Even though she is only 15 (13 in this performance) her 132 song library is enough to fill a jukebox with all her different styles & genre of music. She not only writes her own songs, she takes old classic songs & changes them into her own, while still respecting the original artist. Many say "she doesn't cover songs, she completes them." Her ability to emote the lyrics to make you feel them down to your bones, is off the charts. Her low notes are out of this world & every voice teacher is blown away by her tremendous breath control, her unique phrasing, her complex vibrato & her beautiful melisma's. What you have discovered here is a legend in the making. This song is just one very small taste of her insane talent. Her versatility is off the charts. She is currently 15 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Lisa welcome to Angelina's world and her angels (fans). Angelina is blessed with a beautiful deep rich tone but can reach fairly high in her 4 octave range. At age 13 she created this genius arrangement for one of the world's most beloved songs. Angelina does not know what nervous is, only 100% confidence in her ability. She isn't only what you see in this fantastic performance, she is much more and even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and also her originals. You've done it now. Angelina has over 130 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance. Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement. Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come. From Iowa, USA; OK ~ WOW ❗🤗🌹 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Hopefully this will remain as she continues her career with Republic. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot and I hope by now that you have discovered the incredible reason why she does that. 6. Welcome to Angelina’s world. As others have said she’s done Around 130 unique covers. She also has five originals so far and is apparently working on an album of what we believe to be all or mostly original material. Angelina just signed last summer with Republic Records, the same label Drake and Taylor Swift are associated with as well as actually Florence & the Machine, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Julia Michaels and many others. Her roots are in jazz, having fallen In love with Billie Holliday’s music back when she was a preschooler. But she has done covers in nearly every other genre with a few exceptions. I she has covered pop songs from the 60s all the way through to the Past few years. She has done blues, R&B, soul, and has collaborated quite a bit with EDM artists like Avicii and Alan Walker and a Norwegian group called TRXD (they have a song available on KZbin is called “Above the Water“ for which Angela is the guestvocalist and she dies an amazing job). She has strayed into rock, country, folk, disco, adult contemporary (Lana Del Rey, Adele, Amy Winehouse etc.) and more. There are many places you can go for another reaction. There are some real boundary pushing exploratory performance is like “I’d rather go blind” that some I’ve mentioned or my personal favorite, “I will survive” by Gloria Gaynor. I absolutely love her version of I Will Survive. Another home recording that highlights exquisite subtlety of her vocals is learning to raise “young and beautiful”. And possibly my favorite of every song she has ever recorded outside of her originals is “cry me a river”, a life performance at an outdoor jazz festival. The vocals are quite simple without a lot of runs ornaments, but just a beautiful tone, and impeccable pitch and beautifully restrained use of a soft by Brado. I don’t know why, but that song can still make me cry just heard pure beauty, and I’ve been listening to it for close to a year now. Simon Cowell said that he had never heard that version before, and he was right as Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".¡ My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". Well, it was a seven-year-old child who appeared on the stage. She was small and had wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. My first surprise was how she confidently answered questions put to her by one of the judges. She showed no signs of nerves and when she was asked what song she was going to perform, she declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Then she gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and started singing. Yeah! The body of the 7-year-old child was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-50 year old black woman who had been singing for decades. That first moment of surprise has been experienced many times since then. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZbin and in the years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others: in total over 220 different songs and 82 different performers. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. When you listen to her there is the feeling that you are the object of her attention. She is singing for you alone. I have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What I will never understand is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. OK, before I even watch this video, even though I'm really excited to see your reaction. The remaining members of Queen posted on Angelina's social media praising her performance. With this song, as with every song this young lady sings, she doesn't 'cover' a song, she makes it her own, as you will see. Almost all of her videos, she is only accompanied by an acoustic guitar. She doesn't need instruments to hide her voice, or auto tune to make it pleasant, she was born with a gift, as you will see, if you continue your journey down the rabbit hole to her life so far. In 2015, Jordan published the book Mellom to hjerter (Between Two Hearts), illustrated by her grandmother, Iranian artist Mery Zamani. The book tells the story of her meeting a poor motherless girl in Asia who has no shoes. After a long conversation in which they discuss their dreams in life, she gives the girl her shoes and the girl promises to pray for Jordan to fulfill her dream to become a successful singer. According to Jordan the book is based on a real incident which she cites as the reason for always performing barefoot.

I usually mention three that I find exceptional, but they are all great--truly! Check out her latest release Million Miles either live studio or music video version (At some point you shoul look at the lyric video as well). Most fans want you to react to 9 year old Angelina singing her arrangement of Screamin' Jay Hawkins "I Put a Spell On You " (black and white studio version). No way, you'll say. And all of Norway's Got Talent is amazing. I love "Summertime" as an 8 year old Angelina shows amazing skills. But all her covers and her other originals are top tier. I'll sub in for more Angelina.
