It was always clear that she would not win AGT because she would have had to sign away her soul, her life and everything else to the commercial interests behind AGT. Angelina Jordan is a once-in-a-century talent that, at this point in time, had been chased since the age of 8 by talent hunters from Disney down to the gutters. Her family (her Shield) was more concerned with her having a normal childhood and upbringing so they were all turned away. When she finally signed on to a commercial entity, it was ensured that she has total artistic freedom.

@Halfdan Ingolfsson. That isn’t true. Do some research next time. The producers of aGT has been after AJ for years. But her Uncle, and her manager, wouldn’t sign that binding contract. Finally, AGT relented and let her sign a contract that didn’t bind her if she had won. But they retained the rights to all her performances while on the show. Queen was so impressed with her rendition they gave her the rights to do her version of the song. But she had to re-record it because AGT still owns the rights to this amazing performance and they didn’t release the rights.

A great first reaction! Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. She entered and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and is signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records have agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. She is working on a new album of original music which will be coming out this year. She recently returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a shoeless homeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. Sir, Madam, I can assure you Miss Jordan is well and kicking. Half a year after AGT or so, she signed a contract with Republic Records, that assures her independence, her producer (Top Producers of RR) are her friends she knows since childhood in Norway. Aside from that, she has her own company Angelina Jordan Inc., and she has many many fans and friends, even with some of the homeless in LA. She today is 6,1ft tall, barefoot and has a contralto singing voice. She sings since age 1,5, yes that is correct, there is a video. elmer No surprise that you're peddling incorrect information again. Her producers are Stargate. They are not childhood friends (consider the age difference!). Tor Hermansen said: "I heard about Angelina when she was a little girl in Norway and she won Norway Got Talent. I guess years passed and then somebody reached out to me and said: “Hey do you know this Norwegian girl is on America Got Talent and it is going viral and it is blowing up and it is this amazing thing. Click on the link and check it out!” So I, like the rest of the world, was just blown away by her voice and her emotion and her natural feel and musicality. So that’s really what sparked it. And she was in LA and we were in LA so we set up a meeting and I said: “I just wanna hear and see if this thing is real, if she is as good as it looks like she is… and she walked through the door and started singing… we sat down at the piano and I started playing something and you know.. it was UNBELIEVABLE… what comes out of her. So that’s really how it started."

JUST SUBBED. Angelina was already an international phenom on YT since she auditioned on Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old, that went viral with over 5M views the first week. At 8 she performed on stages in Europe, Asia and America, appearing the the TV show The View, had an acting role on Netflix's "Lilyhammer", released a Christmas EP on Spotify, sang at the Nobel Peace Prize concert for the charity Save the Children, and prbably had begun writing her book "Between Two Hearts", the heartwarming story of why she only performs barefoot. From 9 to 12 years old Angelina had opened for Nora Jones in Korea in front of 40,000 fans, opened the concert for Quincy Jones' 8 birthday celebration at the 02 Arena in London at Quincy's request, performed on stage with Alan Walker (FADED), became friends with Avicci, and was sought after by many record labels which were all turned down because her family wanted Angelina to have as normal a childhood as possible. Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (160+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40-piece military band. But in order to better understand her musical roots & early influencers, I highly recommend going back to all 4 of her Norway Got Talent performances (Gloomy Sunday, I'm A Fool To Want You, Bang Bang & Summertime) - at ages 7-8. She arranges her own music . She is the youngest published person in Norway. She ijust turned 17 and living in LA. She performs barefoot. when she was six years old, Angelina met a homeless, shoeless girl. After they talked for a long time, she gave the girl her shoes and vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world's children had them. I have listened to Angelina every day for 8 years. I have never been able to listen to the same artist continuously before. I get saturated. The reason I have never become bored is you never know what she'll do next and from the first clip of her singing with a mike at under 2 years old she has astounded. From dance music ABOVE THE WATER, to NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART, or STAY, SUSPICIOUS MINDS, to any of her Adele covers. There is no artist she isn't brave enough to tackle.

I can't say I've never been able to listen to the same artist over and over before. I have. But every time I've "gotten into" a singer - whether already a professional recording artist or just a "KZbin cover singer" - it inevitably gets to the point where (a) I find the more obscure stuff, like rehearsals, practice sessions, etc., and find out they're not actually as good a singer as I initially thought; (b) they start being massively "overproduced", using autotune and the like, and "it doesn't matter anymore" whether they can sing well (at which point, I don't care anymore); or (c) they change their style so radically that I'm no longer interested in what they're doing. I've been listening to Angelina basically every day for a little over 3 years now (although I've _known_ of her since late 2014, or perhaps early 2015), and I'm happy to report that none of these things have happened (yet??). Outcome "(a)" literally _cannot_ happen at this point, since I've seen "damn-near everything" of her that's out there (literally _several hundred_ videos of all sorts), and all of it not only proves that she is, in fact, _better_ than I initially thought, it actually suggests that there is literally _no limit_ to how good she can get (since every time I think, "how could she possibly get any better?", I end up finding out😊). The jury is still out on "(b)" and "(c)", since she has just begun to do stuff under the auspices of a major record label, and the output so far has been a bit of a mixed bag, IMO (with the original studio recordings of "7th Heaven" and "Mercy" being what I would call "hideously overproduced"). I'm hoping that the production on her first (full-length, solo, major-label) album will be, shall we say, "unobtrusive"…

AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. the band QUEEN loved Angelinas version which she arranged so much they gave her the rights to this son in this version. only bad thing about her being on the show is, AFTER her performance, Simon and the shows producers approached Angelina and her family and tried to sign her to a contract. they wanted to pick the songs she sang and how she sang them. Angelina told them thank you but no thank you, she picks the songs she sings and also arranges them. also Angelinas family said she was too young and they want to make sure she finishes her education. once she turned them down the show made sure she did not make the top 5 and definitely did not allow her to win. i quit watching the show after that. she made it to the top 10 but eventually finished 6th. but later that same year Angelina signed a contract with a record label who siad they were well aware of her talent and would gladly wait until she was ready to start recording. she did record an E P and released at least 2 songs from it in late 2020. the songs were "MILLION MILES" and "7TH HEAVEN". the song "MILLION MILES"( live in studio) in black and white, is a heart wrencher. Angelina wrote this song about the death of her grandfather. there are 3 different videos for this song, one is animated, the second one is the official video, but the one in black and white is the best version musically. watch that one. the song 7th heaven is an up tempo jazzy song with 2 videos for that one. soooooooooooooooo much to see from Angelina from age 6 until now at age 17.

Angelina Jordan started singing at 18 months. She also plays several instruments, speaks several languages, and is the youngest published author in Norway's history.
