Hi Sarge. This is definitely a song many Angelina fans feel is one of her best at this early of an age. As for why this was not officially released by her, there really isn't any verifiable facts on why. There is an online article that has an interview of the original songwriter/singer of this song, Baby Fuzz, describing how he created the song, why he initially did not want to sing the song and sent copies of it to other singers to see if they were interested in singing this and then changing his mind, recording the song himself, and creating a music video for it. Some people are guessing that Angelina was one of the people Baby Fuzz sent the song to before changing his mind. What's interesting is that this fan made video was released November 11, 2018. Baby Fuzz released his video for this song on December 19, 2018. He currently has over 34 thousand views. The video with Angelina currently has over 403 thousand views...

The last verse has some connection to suicide and after the stir up over her singing, 'Gloomy Sunday' this was never supposed to be distributed. But, it was beautifully sung by a 10-year-old girl who just seems to know how to treat any song.

Angelina (10) in her element, completely blows people’s minds! Her deep register is unbelievable but she masters it! She displays so much empathy and humility a true role model! She makes you feel the song and it pierces right into your soul! Some people wonder why she is never nervous on stage or in front of the camera, just look at all the pictures and video shorts, she knows how to work the camera! This was not an original it was a demo for some of the writers! Will not get into the reasons it was not released! 🇳🇴🇺🇸

@@OlArmySarge We just don't know why - there is no official statement, neither why it wasn't allowed to be a number one hit nor why it was released two years later, albeit as a "leak". There are a few known facts and a lot of guesses, it's a long story.

Sarge, You are right in that she killed this song. At 10 years old here she sounds like a 30-year-old. The soul and passion she demonstrates in this performance is like no other I have ever seen in such a young child. It is unfortunate this song was never released officially due to complex reasons. If it were, it would have been a massive hit!

Just to put all the info in one post... This Demo done for baby Fuzz's song to help sell it when Angelina was 10. Amazingly it never sold. When this leaked Baby fuzz released a lackluster version to protect his copyright. Neither baby fuzz or Angelina's team asked it to be taken down. Fan Favorite that most would like to see rights purchased and released recorded anew.

Many of her 'Angels' feel this sounds like the vocals of a seasoned adult jazz singer on a level with the great Billie Holiday. To then find out that Angelina is 10 here, defies everything expected in a girl this young. Had it been released, I believe it would have 'zoomed' up the charts. Why her mom didn't allow that to happen, could have to do with her age, but it must be noted that there is a mention of a drowning suicide in the latter part of the song and it is a fact that Sara has always shown herself to be very strict as to what lyrics Angelina was allowed to sing at this point in her life. She has never commented on the reason and perhaps one day she will. All in all, this is truly a magnificent display of heartfelt singing at the highest level humanly possible.

Her family was against releasing the song because of the lyrics, the attempted suicide at the end. Her fans, myself included, believe it would have been a top 10 hit, if not number 1, and yes, we think that about just about everything she does, but it's a HUGE favorite.

there are a lot of rumors. Actually, it's her song because she sang it first, but only as a demo. I think it's quite simple, the song would have gone through the roof, and for her 10 years on this song and how she is protected by her family, it would have been too early with the hype that followed, and as has already been mentioned, without a record deal it would have been difficult to release this song and only others would have benefited from it. but that's just a guess on my part

This is an Angels favourite but Angelina has vowed to never sing it again. I wish she had just changed the lyrics at the end, but she has lost multiple friends to suicide including AVICI so its understandable.

So you may have a brain that likes detail ..... but the rest of us will accept apocryphal information if it is repeated enough times. To the extent it has become part of her lore. If you want verifiable info say to write a biography please ask the only people who can genuinely know.
