One of the most difficult songs to sing. It demands absolute perfect timing to properly align the words to the music. THIS is what separates her from the rest of the music world.

Angelina loves to tell a story - this is certainly a great one! Being about artists and musicians makes it extra special - being a French song brings the natural lyrical flow. Angelina gives us her own interpretation - definitely not an easy song to sing - but of course, she makes it look so easy. Yet another song in my very crowded top ten!

Charles Aznavor wrote this song in 1965 and is still very popular in France. Angelina recorded this at age 11 for her "It's Magic " album which was released after she turned 12.

Her unique low register ability, that you don't associate with a female singer of her young age, allows her to bring this French classic to the fore in an adult like fashion and just reemphasizes the fact that she is the most versatile singer of different genres that this planet has ever produced.

Absolutely no reservation, no fear of not being able to conquer completely a piece of music. Whether it's an iconic song from an iconic singer from a bygone era to a recent Grammy winners music, Angelina's got the goods and the guts to perform their music without reservation and you can hear that confidence. Angelina has had that ability from the very beginning. She can sing anything, any style, any genre, any key. I'll bet we'll even hear opera in the future. Thanks Nick, I've enjoyed your amazement of Angelina. I hope you do a review her album.

La Bohème is a song written by French lyricist Jacques Plante and Armenian-French musician Charles Aznavour. It is Aznavour's signature song, as well as one of the most popular French-language songs and a staple of French chanson. A painter, recalling his younger years in Montmartre, remembers his artistic life and the years when he was hungry but happy. According to Aznavour, this song is a farewell to the last days of bohemian Montmartre. He also recorded Italian, Spanish, English, and German versions, as well as a rare Portuguese recording. It was performed at virtually every one of his concerts. The song was first recorded by Aznavour in 1965. It became an international hit song.

La Bohème is an opera written in 1896 - so technically it would know as Romantic Music. Giacomo Puccini, the composer, is Italian however the Opera is set in Paris - so the language is French. As an introduction to this kind of music though, you should definitely check out a duet from a different opera (The Pearl Fishers) "Au fond du temple saint" by Georges Bizet (1863). This is - in my opinion - one of the best examples of music from this genre. (The recording with Placido Domingo & Andrea Bocelli is probably the best.)

Loved the reaction! You were not so far off with the Greek reference. This song is about the bohemian life of artists in Paris, and the music was by Charles Aznavour, who is half Armenian, which is in the Middle East - sort of - and not that far away from Greece. The sound is from the album It's Magic, but the video of her singing was from the rehearsal. If you liked this style of singing, you must try Speak Softly Love from the same album. It's very Italian and romantic, and possibly my number one Angelina song!

Nick, she put so much into this it's the first and only time I've ever seen her take a deep breath after the song was over. It's a very classic European song with the French version being the most popular. Frenchmen say the lyric translation to English is not quite accurate but they praise Angelina for her exquisite vocal delivery of the song.

Nick, as Andy explained, it is a French song, they call it chansons. A typically rithm. La Boheme meant the citizens of the poorer variety, like artists. The paintings showed Paris at the early 19 hundreds. Sorry, to sound like a teacher, I am NOT. Paris was for painters, what todays LA is for actors. Elmar from Germany

What a wonderful rendition Angelina made of this one. This is a so called "chanson Français" (French song). It is so nice to listen to. It's a very special genre: to me it is story telling at it's finest. Of course almost all of these songs are orginally in French, so a lot of times I have no clue what the song is telling about... But it is the language in which these songs are really come on their own: versions in English are a compromise. You have to listen to the orginal "La Bohème" from Charles Azvavour to understand what I mean.

Great reaction. Yes a very different kind of song for Angelina but a very beautiful performance. As another comment says, she was 11 in this video. There are many Angelina videos that were posted well after they were recorded particularly some recorded by grandma when Angelina was very young.

The date of this one is less sketchy than normal though. It was a song for her album "It's Magic" and there's a video of the orchestra singing "Happy Birthday" to her when she turned 12, so either late into 11 or early into 12 is pretty much certain. Also, the date on the album is 2018.

One of the most beloved songs throughout the world especially Europe. She sings traditional styles almost casually well and for her I’m quite sure it is casual. I keep saying she’s a genius. It is a famous opera, pronounced La Bo M (or em) and yes, I do believe that she could sing anything that she connects with, but thank goodness she is very selective. It is indeed very Paris. This is the classical French chanson coming from the Belgian artist Charles Aznavour. In this genre she also sang 'If you go away' the English version of 'ne me quitter pas' made famous by Edith Piaff. You quite butchered the pronunciation to the degree I had to double check the title:-) Bow - he (e as in rest) - mu (u as in mutt). The song is about a painter looking back on his life in Paris in Montmartre. A tragic song.

Great passioned reaction ! Well, it's a bit difference between Greek music and French so called 'chansons'- refers to secular French songs of late mediavel and renaissance music. The elements of Greek classic music are more monophonic , with second voices repeating a given rhythmical formula, often without any harmonic accompaniment. But of course there are parts in common interwened by modern Greece/ French music. By the way - u mentioned (good comparison!) Liza Minelli. Here a song fr classic concert together with as well iconic singer (composer of La Bohéme) Charles Aznavour. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH-llY18lNKrhK8 And of course u have listen to the the original by Charles A. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4i5fqeqgsyDhbs 🙏 🇸🇪

3:39 mins of blissful El duende. El duende has been defined as the spirit of evocation, "a state of tragedy-inspired ecstasy," "a poetic emotion which is uncontrolled.", It comes from inside as a physical/emotional response to art. It is what gives you chills, makes you smile or cry as a bodily reaction to an artistic performance that is particularly expressive. Angelina Jordan's "Lovin You" lead me to Willie Dixon (composer), "I Just Want To Make Love To You", which lead be back to Muddy Waters, who made it famous, which lead be to James Cotton, who I hadn't listened to in 30 years, which lead me to Will Wilde. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bITEfoWfnZeojJY&ab_channel=WillWilde Real music is not dead!
