In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.

Absolutely phenomenal original from Angelina, her first original after signing with Republic Records, there are 4 versions of Million Miles a studio version, a musical video version, a artistic where Angelina’s Grandma Mery Zamani did the artwork, a live version at Angelina’s Concerts in Norway 🇳🇴 in the summer of 2022, I actually attended the concert, her stage presence was incredible her vocals phenomenal,the version in this reaction now the video was shot by Angelina’s Grandma, the little girl running having fun in the video is Angelina’s sister Juliette, the man chasing the girl is Angelina’s Uncle Mike, Uncle Mike is also Angelina’s Manager, Angelina is so special and my favourite female vocalist, great reaction thanks 🙏

Everything that Angelina sings shows influences of other Artists, that's because she learnt to sing listening to the greatest singers of the last 50 or 60 years.... nothing unusual there we all do , but Angelina is so good we can hear it in everything she does..... she learns what she is taught, unlike most of us.... she is a very gifted and clever young lady.

This is her original that she wrote in memory of her late grandfather. They were quite close. It's a beautiful song. Thankyou for your reaction.

Angelina Jordan and Amy Winehouse are both great and extraordinary singer-songwriters. However, each is her own person and both sing from the heart. I love both, so a comparison of the two would interest me greatly. Incidentally, people often watch Angelina singing her rewritten version of Back to Black, but you really should check out her rewritten version of Rehab. It's quite a hoot! Thank you for your reaction to Million Miles. I'll be watching out for you next video.

This is Angelina's fourth recorded original (age 14) which she wrote/recorded with Republic Records in 2020 in honor of her maternal grandfather who passed away a year prior. Her first three, which were recorded under her own name label "Angelina Jordan, Inc.," were (in order) "What Is Life?" (age 11, pretty philosophical lyrics for that age!), "Oslo" (age 11 in honor of her hometown), and "Shield" (age 12, honoring her Mom and others who have looked after her upbringing and well-being). She's been keeping diaries/journals since age six!

There will be fanatic fans out there saying that you shouldn't compare but I believe that what you are doing is extremely interesting so please don't be deterred by those over protective fans. I'm a superfan myself but a little more calm, LOL. Ron from California USA

Angelina wrote Million Miles as a tribute to her Grandfather who passed away and to anyone who has ever lost a loved one, A heartfelt emotional tribute and so meaningful to Angelina!

Great reaction 🙂 Yes, this is definitely one of her originals. She wrote this one at age 13 after her dear grandfather had passed away. There is also a very beautiful black and white studio recording of the song, recorded when she was 14. At least on your own time, take a look at it. Angelina dedicated this song to anyone who had lost a loved one. In true Angelina style 😊 Have a great weekend! Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Angelina said in an interview about this video "I love being creative, and I actually sketched the scenes of the music video, which is really cool. The scenes are about memories I had, and going back to flashbacks. I think that the simplicity of the music video makes it really beautiful because it lets the music talk instead. " Angelina (14y) wrote on her Facebook page at 11/05/2020 : "Big Announcement! I'm so happy to release my original song tomorrow- "Million Miles" on all platforms. This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine." 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣

Smiles. Yes. It's an Angelina Jordan original. She's incredible. Angelina's love for humanity, and her unusual emotional intelligence for her age, really imbue this tribute to her grandfather with such honestly and yearning. I really enjoyed your reaction. Thank you! I think I would enjoy the artist "comparison" (don't know what else to call it) videos.

"Million Miles" is the first song I ever wept to. I had lost 5 loved ones over the previous 3+ years and this song allowed me to finally properly grieve. I truly believe "Million Miles" will always be among Angelina's most popular songs.

Ms. Jordan gave me and the world permission to grieve and the hope that the emptiness of loss is an illusion. We are never alone. Rb

Great reaction I’m really looking forward to your Angelina/Amy discussion. When Ariana Grande first appeared on the scene a lot of people were saying that she was the next Mariah Carey or even saying she was trying to be Mariah Carey. I read an interview where she said that it was actually flattering. She’s 30 now and has been around a while. I think all that talk has probably stopped by now. So this Angelina/Amy comparison thing is nothing new. The funny thing is that in comments and reactions people have said that she sounds “just like” so many different artists. Sometimes for the same song. Artists that don't even sound like each other at all if you compared them. So how Angelina can sound like completely different sounding artists at the same time to different people is kind of comical. One reactor said she sounds just like Lisa Marie (Presley). I had never really listened to Lisa Marie so I tried a few of her songs. I didn’t really hear a strong resemblance to Angelina.

Interested in your concept of the differences between vocalists like Angelina and Amy, (so so so tired of "comparisons") as Angelina is unique, can sing any genre of music and can change her vocals to fit the song, whoever it is she is covering..another unique talent she has. She had a whole lot of influences in her vocals from an early age, but NOT just one artists that I absolutely get so tired of hearing, over and over from those with no ear for music. My interested is piqued since I am quite sure you understand. Bring them on, will be here to watch.

This is absolutely her original song, and a very personal one too.... please also check her live versions last year - she slowed the song down and I think that made the song even greater: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZ2rYYN5abV4hrM

This music video of this original song is great, but I prefer the Live in Studio version, where you actually see her singing & musicians playing their instruments. She's nearly always best live, give her a studio audience & she's even better, put her on live TV & she's at her best.

AJ released 3 versions of this song, this one, a studio version and a cartoon(?) version with captions that features her grandmothers artwork. Then there are several live performances in the last year that were recorded both by fans and professionally. Each has its own charm and special place in the heart. Don't compare? We all need to group things together, songs included, so we have "genres" and you can describe singers by the genre they (usually) sing ... but how do you do that with AJ? No boundaries apply but at times she performs similarly to artists we know and that is what we latch onto in our attempt to understand and relate to what she is doing. Adele, Amy, Lauren, etc. are people AJ has learned from and you will hear the same techniques in AJs singing just like they learned from singers before them. I think people make way too much of not comparing, it's how people naturally think. Give someone a dime and they think 1/10 of a dollar or 2 nickels, just the way it works.

Cool, I’m really looking forward to your Amy/ Angelina Back to black comparison video. I think it’s a wonderful idea. Amy was an outstanding artist even ground breaking. Could Angelina portray Amy in a full production movie about her life? Just thinking out loud.

There are similarities to Amy, but as you say, there are similarities between a lot of singers. One that people can't seem to get over is the hair. I wonder how much Amy would be invoked if she were a blond with short hair. Surely some, but not nearly as much. Not you, but I can't believe how many male reactors have commented on her hairstyle over her years. lol
@fredneecher17469 ай бұрын
I've heard loads of female reactors talk about her 'big hair' as well. Her hair is part of her overall image, and yes, she has cultivated a deliberate image (or more likely, Granma Meri has) even as far back as Gloomy Sunday, including adopting the name Angelina. Nothing wrong with that, of course, it's what artists do. Use themselves to express themselves.
@clones3659 ай бұрын
@@fredneecher1746 I only mention male reactors because that is more odd. I expect female reactors to comment more on hair, wardrobe, etc. What does adopting the name Angelina mean? Wasn't she born Angelina? Maybe she should have kept A STAR.
