I sobbed along with Chopper at the end of this arc. Chopper was so broken down by life and to finally find a group that was genuinely excited to see him for who he really was, was too much for me to take. It hits too close to home.

Chopper’s backstory was pretty sad but glad he found his nakama with Luffy and others. The only thing I found funny in that arc was when Luffy and Sanji kept chasing after him because they wanted to cook him or something but they chilled out lol. Also yes, that moment when Luffy got his own bounty and it spread around the world to where Shanks sees it becomes so proud. It’s so weird, we’ve only seen Shanks a few times but his character is cool. I guess that is why the Arlong arc or story was so pivotal because they were pretty much under the radar up until they defeated him.

welcome to the crew!! just wondering are you watching dub or sub? I would highly recommend sub, the original jp voice acting is next lvl, like luffy, if a scene in manga almost make you cry, then the jp voice acting will give you that final push and make you cry... their cry, expressions, scream, etc were like using the strength and might of their whole body and spirit, they go straight into your heart.... give it a try :)

I think One Piece is such a amazing story because it can get from you the biggest smiles or the loudest laughs, but in another moment it can maky you cry and a sobbing mess like a little kid looking for his mom. They way Oda toy with your emotions and tackle a lot of different and relevant topics throughout his story is nothing less that a mastercraft.

Wouldn’t getting a bounty make you more of an outlaw? Better Luffy be a pirate. Couple hundred years ago, being an outlaw not only meant the government confiscated all your property and wealth, but it also meant that anyone can kill you without any backlash. On the pirate hand, you live on a smelly and cramped boat and there’s risk of people trying to murder kill you anyways. And diseases obv.
