@Rozmund5 жыл бұрын
To you last question, absolutely...learning to do it in small ways and then when comfortable..embracing larger ways..however, that comes with a caveat learned through wisdom .... if we in our compassion help another in a positive way we must question our own motives...do we do it out of love, compassion, or an inner sense of feeding "the controller" within..known in today's world as The Ego..or are we lonely and want a friend...there is a saying to have a friend, we must be a friend....we must never be so uplifting as to become an "enabler"..of another's poor habits or negativity who has no intention within their own being of ever changing...in the foreseeable future...as for Anne Franks it has been several decades since I saw the movie...however, to give you the most honest answer in my opinion on her life I have downloaded the pdf of her Diary...to refresh my memory...Movies leave a lot out...however, without even looking at the pdf I will say this..her life had a message...I feel I know her message..the reason she existed...for even such a short time.. it was pivotal and survived the other war horror stories in a way that gave and still gives courage to others in the face of what appears as "hell".....I am a bit of a philosopher, garnering and taking into myself what is necessary for my joyful existence...my internal filters are unique to me...as yours are to you....usually based on our experiences...conscious and subconscious..even sometimes resonating in our hearts from distant memories of our past existences...all in my very humble opinion...I will end by saying..we are each special, each unique, and loved by THE ONE INFINITE CREATOR, more than we can imagine in our little self while experiencing the gift of life 's journey...gratitude for the smallest of things, events, people, and situation as tools of learning....literally opens the flood gates of more things to be grateful for as we walk our path...stay focused on what gives us JOY........@@xjones2087

Here is a horrible example of how we create our own reality...we even know why...often damaging the reality of others..of course, the reversal is true, when we put the ego aside, follow the "golden rules" tough one that one..all so sad.....that is the deeper question..discernment, caution, but not fear is a good rule of thumb..ca.yahoo.com/style/former-police-officer-admits-sex-3-year-old-daughter-died-alone-hot-car-214001588.html.@@xjones2087

The outer and inner memory sounds like the psychological concept of the inner and outer selves. They say we are born with an inner self but also develop an outer self through worldly experiences. I also like the idea of this tablet-like collection of all our memories and writings preserved. The everyday experiences and dreams I write about feel acknowledged in the spiritual world. I love that.
@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing these reflections, Murtaza. And yes, a lot of the concepts Swedenborg wrote about way back when do seem to have current psychological counterparts. Swedenborg says that our experiences never leave us completely, but that they are put to the side unless they can be specifically useful in one way or another. That feels to me like an acknowledgment that EVERYTHING we've been through has made a difference to who we are -- but we don't have to consciously remember it all and always carry it around!

I'd rather go right now as I was saying if hubby in heaven alot longer than me means I ain't gonna see him again cos he gonna be in paradise before I even get there or IF I'm worthy of it 8 don't think I'm the only person who is scared that there loved ones go on "TO THIS BETTER PLACE " I have to say the best place for my hubby was with me we met 1 week married 7 weeks later anyways to this so called better place which I will not be good enough shit I just give up now when I was reading god was a forgiving god , jesus died one time only for my sins , but what your saying is the angels are gonna be checking me out to see if I'm good enough for heaven , what if I'm not ? And my hubby was does he go on and I get to twiddle me thumbs NO WAY AM I COMING BACK TO THIS EARTH I never want to see this place again if I could close my book of life right this second I would, I was gaining comfort from the thought of seeing hubby again 😢maybe I shouldn't from what your saying could you clarify for me please thankyou

I think this shows us how wonderfully different God created us, his imagination knows no limits. How our loves manifest differently from all others is also how our fears manifest differently from all others. Only God knows what's in our heart of hearts and how to heal what is broken within us.

Transition, from current thought alignment in perspective with the reflexive expression, resonating out from the point of reference. And, so one may begin to notice transitional points, in conscious expression (past to present) dictated through the unsophisticated carrier. The carrier, is not to include the individual carrying the thought form, it is the signal from which the message is observed. It is unpacked information, but rudimentary, and not adequate to describing more intricate evaluations, as they do give a clue into the mind of the initial sender. Relevant, to those who receive the message in its appropriate form, which by now must come this new understanding. The twisting of perspective, that must adhere to the mind of the one in the flow. Swim, and observe, the sharks exist to clear up what would otherwise flourish and propagate within itself the will of a shark. (the killer, a product of not understanding matters outside of it's own 'Totality') (Fish, in a hierarchy of spreading information, which must be absorbed in various ways, not excluding redistribution of matter through chemical fusion.) This necessity, exists so as to not allow the inherent stagnation that would otherwise ensue. It may be represented in any challenge... perhaps, it may be worthy to consider one idea against another, as to alleviate a possible dissonance. With Pride, one will need to watch for the manifestation of its negative attribution. There is a middle-way in all things, so as to not overextend, and as to never act/move. The middle-way, may also be recognized as living the Virtuous life, the Life inspired through Jesus Christ, and His closest emulators/students (the Saints). Virtue is the middle-way between Vice, the balance necessary to find Peace. The stillness, is the recognition of the right calibration, the immutable variation is Absolute in it's Peace (and thus worthiness, surely, there is no other task more worthy of undertaking?). An example of this may be seen when analyzing Confidence. This Virtue, lies in between it's 2 ugly step sisters, Arrogance, and Cowardice. One may see, on this spectrum, that a fall is inevitable from teetering too far to the left, or to the right. Only tap into enough Chaos as to bring it into an order that is manageable. It is crucial not to overextend, as this would be a naive move... the opposite is even more prevalent within human Nature. Too many are frozen in place, afraid to move, for then... an over-extension could spell Doom....

That is a beautiful wish, Marc! Everyone who makes an effort to live the kind of life that Jesus taught, a life of kindness, forgiveness, integrity and service to others, is in the Lamb's book of life. There is no need to be perfect, but only to be making some effort that the Lord can work with in our hearts and minds. In this short clip, we relate the life review process after death as an opportunity to be shown how much our life is in alignment with the Lamb's book of life, and how we can improve that alignment. God always wants to help us get more and more close to him! Take a look when you find a chance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGmvYqejf82csMU God bless!

@@thatsmytwocents4372 I understand your concerns, though, and appreciate you sharing them here. Angels examine us on the Lord's behalf - not of their own volition. They are devoted to the Lord and live to serve! Our work is based on Scripture, and deeply rooted in the Bible. We share your love for the Lord's truths contained within. Here's a little information about who we are, what we share, and why we believe in it: On this channel we share information written down by Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), which he learned through 27 years of direct experiences of seeing into the afterlife. Everyone is free to decide whether to believe that information or not. Swedenborg was a devout reader of the Bible, and believed his works were showing the rest of us what he learned to be the inner meanings contained in scripture! The Bible tells us it contains an inner meaning, and here are some quotes that indicate this: “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them.” -Matthew 13:34 “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.” -John 16:25 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” (John 16:12). “If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:12). “To you it’s been given to know the mysteries of God’s kingdom, but to the rest, in parables, so that seeing, they would not see, and hearing, they would not hear” (Luke 8:10) “Our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:5-6) “Give ear, my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings from of old” (Psalm 78:1-2). If you would like to learn more about how Swedenborg read and understood the Bible (what it meant to him) check out our episode, "What the Bible Is," kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGHQdmt_ebGspKc , or this short clip, "It Is Damaging To Take The Bible Literally," kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4m4iY1ud86aes0 If you'd be at all interested in hearing how the ideas in this show are grounded in the Bible, I recommend the recorded episodes of this Bible study: www.spiritandlifebiblestudy.com/ You are right that we are accountable to know one but the Lord Jesus Christ. This episode does not imply otherwise - the angels greet us in the afterlife, and can tell from our auras and a quick examination what kind of a person we are. This is not a judgment or a condemnation - they do this so they know what kind of help or company we will need. This is why the Lord reminds us, "There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?" (James 4:1) But in truth, God does not judge us - it is we who decide our own fate, based on how we lived our lives and what we loved. That is why the Lord tells us that how we live - how we treat each other - determines our fate: Jesus said, "Not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." (Matthew 7:21) "He shall reward every one according to his works." (Matthew 16:27) You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. Likewise, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another road? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead." (James 2:14-26). “You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt” (Leviticus 19:34). “Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12). We choose heaven if we love God and others, we choose hell if we love ourselves alone. If you want to learn more about Swedenborg's understanding of hell, check out "What is Hell Really Like?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYmmgGSGa9dggdk We share this information for anyone who is interested, but we also respect that everyone is on their own spiritual path, and in their own relationship with the Word and with God. I (Karin) was just listening to a Swedenborgian pastor this morning who talked about how we'll often have a first thought pop in, which is judgmental, but then there can be a second thought and an action that we can choose. So, don't be discouraged by those first negative thoughts. They will pop in! But then call in a second thought, a better thought, and act on it if appropriate.

I guess the older I get the wiser I get or stronger will I have in making the best intention happen. My belief in Angels has always helped me in making better decisions. They are always there for the asking in helping me make the best decision for what is best for good of mankind not just for myself. I want to make the Angels happy because it brings me joy so I try to do everything for love is in my intension. I Adopted a child at the age of 52. and it changed my life for the better and I feel blessed by the good Lord Jesus for letting get the chance I would never have had, the joy of help raise another human being. In teaching my son how to be a kind and loving person helps me see where I made mistakes in life and understand to erase them or correct them through teaching my son how to make the right decision for a problem I have had made the wrong decision. Doing everything out of love brings me joy so to feel or get that feeling of joy becomes addictive and you start a perpetual cycle love. Curtis, what would we do without you, you are truly blessed and I see with my own eyes the word of the Lord flowing through you. Well, The Cube, the thing is that God is the only one who knows all the ways in which our spiritual path will serve us best, all the ways in which WE are performing some useful service. There's a passage in Swedenborg that talks about the reasons for our specific time of death, and they have to do with the useful purposes being served to ourselves, to others in this world, and to others in the next world. Trusting God's timing rather than ours seems the best way to align with God's will, from my perspective.

Question: (1) If, in fact, memory perdures to the least detail.... (2) And there's absolutely no disappointment in Heaven (3) Then how does a memory that evokes "sorrow" remain in Paradise???
@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
Great question, Dennis. Swedenborg talks about memories and even deeds being sort of "pushed to the edges" and being dormant, if they're not something that is involved with our active interests and pursuits, and not something that would serve us in our forward progress. So I guess it COULD be drummed up, if there were any use to it, but otherwise it's not in our CONSCIOUS memory. That's kind of what I imagine the purpose of our self-examination and self-discovery to be -- taking a look at these sorrowful experiences and making sense of them, seeing how they somehow contributed to our journey or brought us to some new awareness. And then when we see them in the context of our lives and how they were part of our development, we can let them go and they'll just not bother us. So there are a few initial thoughts!
@dennisryan63703 жыл бұрын
@@offTheLeftEye But let's say that we learned "forgiveness".... precisely from the act of "remembering" just how sorrowful someone else's actions were toward us......one could hardly push such memories aside nor think to say that such memories did not play a PIVOTAL PART in one's personal "development"......
@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
@@dennisryan6370 I agree with you, excatly! Yes, we can appreciate how these memories - or the experiences - were useful to us, helped us grow, and learn to forgive, etc. The memories are still there, the knowledge, understanding, and appreciation remain, but our pain surrounding them is not. This can happen on earth, too. Have you ever had something in your life that felt very painful, very powerful, almost overwhelming - and at some point, it doesn't bother you anymore? I think of hard times from my childhood - things that felt powerful and real to me at the time, slights or embarrassments, etc., that now I can look back on and remember the pain, but not feel tortured by it anymore. I just look back and think, "oh yeah, that was hard," but the grief isn't there anymore. Anyway, those are some thoughts! I guess the Swedenborgian take on this, Keith, would depend on whether a person entertains the thought, dwells on it, loves it, intends it. Swedenborg learned that thoughts flow into us all the time, but they're not really OURS unless we CHOOSE to keep them. We can also reject them or turn away from them. I can attest to dark thoughts entering my mind, but when I'm on my toes, I can disassociate from them immediately and "change the subject" in my mind. Unless we really LOVE something, says Swedenborg, it is not imputed to us -- that is, put on our spiritual record, so to speak.... What do you think?

So it is comforting both in knowing that we will be loved in spite of the failures, and in knowing that we will fully keep all of the invaluable lessons we have learned that may become part of the work we do in heaven.

My heart goes out to you, Marilyn -- such an unbearable loss! It seems to be such an unpredictable thing, whether we'll consciously feel a visit from our departed loved ones. But whether we're AWARE of it or not, love pulls spirits together, so in one way or another, your son is close to your heart! And yes, there are always angels around you, trying to bring peace and comfort. We did an episode called "Why Don't Those Who've Died Communicate with Us More?" -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp65mnRrp7R5a6c. It might not feel satisfying, but it might give you some food for thought about how the interaction works between the physical world and the spiritual world. I pray for you that you can feel the love you and your son shared still alive in your heart, and kind of "visit" him in your happy memories of him and in the activities that you used to enjoy together. And you can look forward to a joyful reunion with him when it's your turn, in God's timing, to cross over! Here's an episode about that: "Will We See Our Loved Ones in the Afterlife?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5jHn5qNhNt-l9U Sending prayers for peace and healing, and every blessing along the way.

Hi Doris, are you asking if you will have to see people who hurt you? The answer is no - you will only see people in the other life if it is mutually beneficial. Perhaps if someone needs to seek your forgiveness, a reunion could be useful, but only if YOU want it to. No one can approach you unless your spirits resonate together in the spiritual world. If you're asking about family reunions, and seeing loved ones again, the answer is yes, you will see people who love you! How does anyone really know if they are not dead ?
@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
That's the question, isn't it, Alex? I guess that's where faith comes in. To clarify, The ideas in this video come from the spiritual experiences recorded by Emanuel Swedenborg, a Swedish statesman and scientist back in the 1700s, who claims to have been called by Jesus Christ to undergo the experience of dying, just to share that knowledge with the world. He was the first to admit that people would find that hard to swallow! If you're curious about Swedenborg and his background and credentials, we have a short video called "Who Was Swedenborg?" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnbEYZhudsiGbZo --and a longer one called "Was Swedenborg Crazy?" -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZC9gWZmg6uMnJo. There has to be something going on with all the different stories you hear about existence after death. While the stories are different in nature, they all share a similarly, that there is an existence after the body ceases to exist. The Bible is a great example of this. Even Jesus said “ you must be born again”.... I’m curious to know why must we be born the physical universe before we can move to the next level? Perhaps God has a certain reason for this? Perhaps trial is needed? I’m not sure. But it is interesting nevertheless❤️🙂

Hi Marina, did you watch the episode? Swedenborg writes, "In disclosing his acts to a man after death, the angels to whom the office of searching is assigned look into his face, and their search extends through the whole body, beginning with the fingers of each hand, and thus proceeding through the whole." That is the start of the passage - watch the whole thing for the rest and see Curtis's explanation!

@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Simon! Yes, absolutely, we agree with you that those who help us after we die are other souls, other people who have lived on Earth. Swedenborg uses the word "angel" to mean people who used to live on earth, and who were willing to open up their hearts and minds to a deep level of love and wisdom. "Heaven" is a state of mind and heart of genuine love toward God and other people. People who are willing to cultivate that state of mind during their life then live as angels in heaven after death, always responsive to ways to help others. Here is a short clip called "Were Angels and Demons Once Human?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnm6ooiQiLSWhKs And that clip comes from a longer episode called "Swedenborg and Life Live: Angels and Demons" kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYXIo2ajrK56pdk

The angels who examine are they from Paradise of Hell? In My faith, Angels are article of faith,it depends on the soul, if the body,limbs, soul did the works of God while alive, Intentions followed by actions of the limbs. Eyes,hands, feet,ears, tongue, private parts all held accountable. Every mankind has Angels with them writing down the good and bad deeds and it will be presented on the Day of Judgement and soul will be destined for Paradise or Hell based on their records. The destination of the soul will be shown in the grave first when the 2 Angels ask questions.
@offTheLeftEye3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question, Umm! According to Swedenborg, angel examiners are from heaven. Their wisdom is from God, so they are able to see through our actions to our intentions. Not all actions we take while on earth are held against us, since sometimes action is divorced from intention. It is what we LOVE that matters to God. If what we DO in action reflects what we love, then yes, our actions are noted in the spiritual world -- but not because God is anxious to condemn us. On the contrary! He is anxious to free us! While each of us will go through a sorting process in the World of Spirits (before going to Heaven or Hell), Swedenborg proposes that the Last Judgment has already happened! Have u ever seen it in the Bible??
@offTheLeftEye5 жыл бұрын
Hi Nadia, good question! I think the short answer is yes, in a sense...but here's the long answer: Our channel aims to share the theological works of Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772), a Swedish scientist and late-in-life theologian, who was also a scholar of the Bible. Swedenborg began to have spiritual experiences and visions that he claimed were directly revealed from Jesus Christ and the afterlife, and spent the remainder of his life recording what he learned and publishing his works. These writings are based on the inner meanings of scripture as well as conversations and experiences with beings in the afterlife and even in other worlds. This lasted for almost thirty years. Swedenborg was raised a Lutheran, and read and loved the Bible. But he also wrote that the Bible contains hidden inner meanings that he was shown to share with the world, meanings the Bible tells us are there, “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them.” -Matthew 13:34 Swedenborg was also shown that Christianity is not the only way to Heaven. All God asks of us is to love and worship a higher power, and to live a life of love and good acts to our fellow humans. If you want to learn more about Swedenborg, check out our short clip here, "Who Was Swedenborg?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnbEYZhudsiGbZo If you'd be at all interested in hearing how the ideas in this show are grounded in the Bible, I recommend the recorded episodes of this Bible study: www.spiritandlifebiblestudy.com/. And finally, here are some more quotes from the Bible explaining its inner meaning and that this would one day be revealed to us: “If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:12). “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” (John 16:12). “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.” -John 16:25 “Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. . . . And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” -Luke 24: 25-27, 32 “Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.”-Luke 24:44-45

Good talk. Positive thoughts and intentions are very important as arw the words we use which can either harm or heal. As far as the book of life goes, I have a ciuple of thoughts. There are some interesting vids on. Gematria when applied to the Torah. Every name, address and deed are allegedly found there for every person. My other thought, and coming from the mind of a meditator and remote viewer) all information is available and can be accessed. Whether you call it the Akashic record, collective consciousness, the limen or the force from Star Wars, we are all connected to it both contributing and receiving information. This could be experienced as those AHA moments of inspiration, picking a winning lotto ticket, creating a beautiful music piece, or just viewing an event from the past. We all have the ability to grab from that field. No time, anytime, everywhere and no where (all happening simiultaneously) Nothing is ever truly lost, only transformed. Consciousness is the awareness of god in all things with no beginning or ending. And, love fuels the fire within.
