I get it that some people want to be seen, heard are dealing with something, but you’re not taking that out on me. It seems some people, regardless of whether they’ve been traumatized or not target you when you allow it. I’ve been through a lot but it has made me want to treat people better (not disrespect or push them around) and have better boundaries(not letting them disrespect or push me around). I can understand from a different perspective that some people including myself, have very strong boundaries because of what we’ve been through which can be mistaken for been rude or disrespectful no matter how nicely you put it. I’m going to stand my ground when you come for me, but I wouldn’t just come at you for no reason. Thank you soo much, you always remind of who I am❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. We love and appreciate your hard work.

I always tell myself "Tomorrow is a new day". But we can shift our energy into a higher level as soon as we decide to. Allowing ourselves to suffer in the weight of gloom is a comfortable place to be... but allowing ourselves to feel Excited and Free is an even more comfortable place to Be. 👊❤

This is only temporary. You just got to ride it out. And you're gotta grow through it. And be better off in the end... Healthy boundaries. Responding with compassion & a willingness to understand & help disarms people. Everyone has the fundamental need to be seen, to be heard, to be loved, understood & never forgotten. God bless you guys! Beautiful interview!

Wow the comment about feeling content where you are as opposed to feeling like you won’t be happy til you reach that thing “over there”, is so on point. It’s good to have goals but it’s also important to feel happy in the moment, especially when life moves so fast.

Angie Martinez is a living legend!!! I am so glad you had her on your show, to hear her in the interviewee seat. She has so many bragging rights and yet she has the wisdom and humility to recognize that there are so many moving parts that are beyond our control in getting us where we are - and that shows her integrity. My favorite part is the end, around 1:05 on her two boundaries. That life lesson right there is something I recently had to learn via a group of "friends" of over a decade. I realized most of them were not actually rooting for my success, and I never felt good around them. It took one of them doing heinous to see that they really don't have my best interest at heart. I communicated my boundaries and differences and I have marked my distance and let me tell you the weight off of my shoulders and sense of peace - and actual opportunities and blessings in my life now are beyond words! I love that Angie is spreading this message because it can be literally life saving and yet it can seem so easy to dismiss in the name of maintaining the status quo and avoiding the discomfort of "loosing" people (it's really their loss). We must always check in with ourselves and stay true to our core needs to live and thrive

Dear Lisa, although you still speak with passion, you are so much more relaxed, less tense and therefore so much more relaxing yet interesting to listen to, haha 😆💕 I can now take in the information of the conversation and I'm really happy for you because being more relaxed is so much healthier for you as well. I think you're an amazing woman and I love to see you so much more grounded and calm. It's a pleasure to listen to this podcast, you're doing amazing and very important work.

Also I realized I can't be passive aggressive with weirdo men. Some mad tried to mess with me and I was smiling at him and had to get out my box cutter at one point I even did and yet he still tried to come attack me I had to call the cops. You don't look at them all and they try to try something...nothing I can do and quite frankly it's annoying just leave me alone. Been putting up with dumb toxic men forever and a few select dumb woman I can't stand it. Plus woman are annoying to me and gossip all the time. I don't know why woman can't just focus on their goals especially at work. I've been out of work for two months and have to go get a job for rent and I'm in my 30's and am over it already. Someone suggested I just go on disability. I could care less about money all the gossip and games and drama I get so sick of it's annoying.
