In my view. Your best video so far! Many people are doing / trying all the tips from many KZbin videos. But I am sure many watch a video then go and try it that way. I do. And we have seen many video's about the pillows etc. But we all have different machines and we have to adjust things and try again and again until it's right. But they are NOT that many video's like this that help us over come some of the problems we all get. So thank-you for this video.

When I used to get press marks on blankets which shows even more than shirts, I would literally press the rest of the blanket and then no press marks. Years later, I found pressing pillows and Vapor foam. But even though it took extra time, it did compress all therefore making the press marks go while flattening all. Hope that makes sense.

You didn't exactly do the same thing all three times the first one you cut around close and didn't tear. Why didn't you show that method with the others? Is it because you get lines that way? Changing up things doesn't show that the foam and pressing pillows fix it. It just shows if the paper edges are tore and the paper is bigger than the shirt there is no lines.

Hi! We do our shirts on 8" x 11", and use a lot of that area leaving little leeway for the pillow, what size would you recommend. Or would you recommend the hand cut foam option for that? Thanks in advance!
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
The hand cut foam may work better in that case as you could customize it.

When using iron-on vinyl, is the only option to make sure the vinyl hangs over the pillow, because you can't tear the carrier sheet?
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
Correct. Only option is to use a pillow, foam, or mat under your design. Making the pillow larger than the design but smaller than the carrier sheet would be ideal in that situation.

How do you stop the tshirt from going yellow after heat pressing it? What am I doing wrong??
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
I would check your time and temperature as you may be scorching the shirt.

Hi Angie. I use a Cricut Easy Press 2 and the Cricut pressing pad. Just getting into sublimation. Would I need an additional pad or foam to avoid the pressing lines? Thank you.
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried the Cricut pad but it should work. The only issue is sizing as I explain here how you want a pad of a certain size for each item you are making.

I got a mouse pad and the same thing you’re holding in the video with my sublimation printer and some white cloth. What are these for? Thought it was a beverage holder lol
@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
The white cloth may be Teflon or just a polyester sloth. I am not sure what you are referencing as far as the beverage holder?

Great video, Thank you for sharing your recommendations! I do have a question, though. Could I use the easy press mat to put in between the shirts, like you did for the pressing pillows and foam, or would the mat leave an outline/mark on the shirt?
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
You definitely can! It is just that you can only get three sizes with the EasyPress mat.

@@AngieHolden I ordered the pressing pillows and tried them out today. I am still getting lines on my shirts. I tried adjusting the pressure of my heat press, but still got lines. The top part and the left side are where the heat press is leaving lines on my shirts. I put the two shirts in the dryer to see if that would help take out the lines, but sadly it did not. Do I need to try to calibrate the heat press by adjusting the springs on top where the pull down handle is at? I have an older model heat press that got passed down to me. The model is Homcom 15x15. If you have any suggestions on what would help me, I would gladly appreciate it!
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
BOO! I haven't used that model at all. It sounds like maybe the pressure is uneven if just two sides leave a mark. Can you adjust that at all? Pull up just those two sides?
@angellynmcdaniel17382 жыл бұрын
@@AngieHolden It seems to be adjusting the bottom part more than the sides or the top. I tried a few more shirts a little bit ago and still getting the marks. I have lessened the pressure, then it is too loose and my design doesnt press all the way. (Some shirts have a rustic/vintage look to them now, which is kinda nice), but still has the marks. Then i tighten it back up, and same thing. I cannot find a happy medium and I am getting very frustrated with it. I am thinking of getting an Easy press maybe this weekend if I cannot get the heat press figured out.

Generally no.

Can you use the Cricut heat press mats to accomplish the same results as the pressing pillows?
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
I haven't used them for that but they would probably work. The drawback is there are only three sizes. As stated in the video, the size is important.

Hi Angie, I'm getting marks from the heat tape. Is it because the pressure was too tight from the heat press? A polyester shirt was used. Thanks.
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Most likely you need to turn the pressure down or carefully place your tape on the very outside where the heat press will not hit it.
@lindacarreras33152 жыл бұрын
@@AngieHolden Thank you; I thought so too. I was watching another video and it was suggested not to 'clamp' down the top platen - just let it sit on top of fabric.
@AngieHolden2 жыл бұрын
Sublimation does rely on pressure to get a good result. I do think you need some pressure to do your project correctly. You can probably get away with less on fabric surfaces.

Are you able to use the Cricut software to print a sublimation without the print then cut black lines?

No you cannot. Here is a video for you with options: kzbin.info/www/bejne/injEnZtslseJZ9k
