One of the best ways to understand how to be more accurate is taking time to see what makes you miss!!! In this video I describe how your Angle of Attack affects impact point, arrow flight and also D-Loop wear and tear.

I haven't said so before, but my archery has improved tremendously by watching Dudley's videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

It turns out I was 4 knuckling it. I have been wondering what was causing my D-loop wear. My groups tightened up immediately!👍

Very cool info. 2 years ago I bought a VXR-28. That bow is the devil. Rather than give up on it and buy a longer bow(I had no idea a short bow is less forgiving) I decided to work on my skills to see if I can overcome the evil that bow had bestowed on me. This bow also caused me to switch from a wrist strap release to the green one in the video and a nose button. While I have wrangled it in pretty well, it has limited my distance. I'm trying hard not to scrap the bow, but I got out my old PSE and didn't want to put it back. Will have to give this a try, my biggest flaw is a flyer to the right.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was shooting fully inverted and i noticed today my D loops was starting to fray. Excellent video.

Great lesson. I was wondering why my D loop was starting to fray. I thought it was defective. Thanks John.

Thanks! I just started using my first thumb release about a month ago(Stan Axis). I have noticed the left/ right shift while shooting, as my anchor point is not 100% muscle memory yet, so there is some variation. I will have to work on this before my next round of 3D for league this coming weekend.

I’ve been shooting with your Nock 2 it for about 2 seasons and that explains a lot . I shoot with my all my fingers touching my face . 20 -35 is great then arrows start to drift

Awesome explanation of the nuances of your hand angle with a handheld!! I’ve been working on keeping my hand flat, but I’d bet it’s casing me to be more inverted than I should. Can you put a video out on the effects of string angle on your setup? How does it affect peep alignment, nock pinch, d loop size, etc.?

Very nice video, its nice how in depth you go on one concept at a time. The video about drawing then anchoring was a major help.

Just getting back into archery hunting after just dabbling in it yearssss ago. Back then I used a similar release to the one here but now have a new release with a 360* rotating head . Wouldn’t the rotating head be the way to go to eliminate the torquing? Doesn’t the flipper type release impart some side torque or action like fingers? What advantage or why use a fixed head flipper style release ?

I’m having a lot of trouble switching to handheld. Pressure in my forearm. And with my wrist strap finger its easy, no pressure easy draw with back and upper arm muscles
@timbow50
@timbow50 Жыл бұрын
Your muscles in your hand and forearm aren’t used to the new work load. It will take a lot of shots for them and your brain to get used to it. Try blind bale shooting so you can focus on the feel etc . Have it set with little to no thumb button travel and with it taking a little tension/ pressure on the knob. No hair trigger set up. You want it where you have to pull into the shot. This also helps to steady up the pin at the last crucial micro-second before the shot breaks. I guarantee if you commit in the long run you will have more CONTROL over entire shot process than you will believe.

No need to change from the index to a button if you find the index an easier option - stick with it! Wrist rockets set up properly are just as accurate if not more than any release out there. Research Dud’s training video of the Backstrap for a good reference.
