Line spool could not be seated properly. Ive dropped a reel and had this happen.

Some reels come with washers to space the spool on the shaft. My Stradic did, and It works. You can make them from thin gasket material.

You didn't wet/lube your leader line when clenching down your knot. You might also want to look into different knots for the dropper bead so you can change out beads/leaders quicker and more efficiently. Check out the Duncan loop as a suggestion.

any leader over 36 inches is illegal in Oregon. We don’t allow flossing/snagging. We’d have to shorten that up a bit lol.

My understanding of Oregon regs, there are only particular water bodies that have that leader length limitation in place-you can know which locations those restrictions are in place by looking at the “regulation exceptions” listed for each water body in each regional zone. For example, Three Rivers and Trask River Main Stream would be examples of water bodies that have that leader length limitation rule applied.
