In Anglo Indian stew there is no turmeric and green coriander neither is there ginger and garlic paste. The ginger is cut in fine juliennes and the stew has pepper powder or whole peppercorns in it.

Yes, AI stew is not made like this, my mom never uses tomatoes corriender leaves, turmeri and ginger garlic paste And we use coconut milk not coconut. paste

In all my years as an Anglo Indian living in Bombay never have I known stew to have coconut in it. It’s more like a curry. Not stew as we know it in Bombay.
